I’d also love for Belle to become a series regular. But even if it doesn’t happen next season, she’ll still have an important role to play in the overall story. The very fact that she’s romantically connected to Rumpel puts her right in the middle of the plot. 😉
[adrotate group="5"]a_desperate_soulParticipantIt all depends on what happened between the two. Emma got pregnant during a very troubling time in her life. She was a trouble-maker and the father was probably a trouble-maker too. So, I think both parties will take some of the blame. It all depends on why Emma decided to hide her pregnancy from the father. If it was a for a legitimate reason, like if he was a criminal or physically abusive, then she had every right to hide it from him. I just hope it wasn’t because she didn’t feel up to the task and she kept the pregnancy away from the father becauase she knew he would make her raise him.
Having said that, I actually do believe Emma when she said that Henry’s father was “no hero.” Now, what means exactly is anybody’s guess. He could have just been a lost soul like Emma was, he could have been suffering from severe depression, he could have been a burn-out, or he could have been a criminal. We’ll just have to wait and see how the writers handle it next season.

This is an idea I stole from another thread. Sorry, A_Desperate_Soul. But thinking of my theft as a compliment to your brilliant theory. 😀
I call that only those who possess true love in their lives (lovers, children) will be able to use the magic of true love. Regina will ironically be the only one left out.
Ha ha! Don’t worry, I don’t mind at all. I’ll take it as a compliment. 😀
a_desperate_soulParticipantWelcome to the message boards, Chip! 😀

We know that parents and their kids can have TL; how about grannies and granddaughters? It would be great if Granny could break Red’s curse.
Good question. I think grandchildren count too. Granny raised Red from the time she was a baby (presumably), so she probably sees Red as her own child.
a_desperate_soulParticipantAMAZING!!! 😀 😀 😀 Thanks for posting!

And when Emma wished on the blue star candle she even did what she did when she put on the badge. She did a double take. She like closed her eyes wished and then the bell rang and she looked up and then looked back at the candle. And later on she brought it up to Regina how today was her birthday and she wished and he came. It may be nothing, but i like the idea that it is something.
And that isn’t exactly magic, not the way Regina or Rumpel do magic, but it is still Emma causing things to happen through her decisions and her force of will or whatever you want to call it. The introduction to Emma is so great. I found that scene abrasive when i first saw it, but they just show so much about the character in those opening scenes with Emma, so much emotion. Very well done.
Aww, I loved that scene too. I hope the writers give us more scene like that in season 2. I’m glad to see that people haven’t forgotten about the significance of that scene. I can’t help but think that her wish will come into play in later seasons. Especially now that the Blue Fairy has gotten her memory back.
a_desperate_soulParticipantI think true love will factor heavily into season 2. We’ve already seen that true love has the ability to create the most powerful magic in the world, so I think those who possess it will have a greater advantage next season. Particularly with the magic Rumpel released into Storybrooke. I think only those who have true love in their lives can access the magic. I honestly don’t see why Rumpel would release all that magic knowing that it would give Regina a leg up. It makes no sense. I think he released it knowing that everyone would be able to use it except Regina.
a_desperate_soulParticipantI think the “please” claus is gone. But I guess Rumpel doesn’t really need it now that he has his powers back.
