Is something bad coming from the return of magic?
I don’t know. I’m sure it’s going to be juicy, especially with Rumpelstiltskin [Robert Carlyle] being one of the most popular [characters]. I’m curious to see what happens between those two — Rumpelstiltskin and the Evil Queen or Mr. Gold and Regina. I’m very curious to see what happens with that. Most importantly, I’m hoping to see what happens between Henry and Regina; I really hope that she hasn’t lost him.Your darn skippy he is!!!
See, even Lana knows the truth. 😆
[adrotate group="5"]a_desperate_soulParticipantI was so wrong on so many levels about the finale. I got NOTHING right. 😆
a_desperate_soulParticipantGreat theory. 😀 A parent’s love for their children has fueled almost every significant action in the series thus far. Rumpel’s reasoning for creating the Dark Curse, Geppetto sneaking Pinnocchio into the wardrobe, Emma finally believing in magic, Regina’s numerous attempts at murdering Emma. All of these actions had a huge impact on the story as a whole, and they were all inspired by the love of their children.
The producers have already said that we’re going to find out what happened to Baelfire in season 2. So, I’m expecting his appearance to have a HUGE impact on the show in general. And if the theories about Baelfire being Henry’s biological father turn out to be right, then that puts Henry in a very interesting position. So, not only is the son of the savior, but he’d also be the grandson of the most powerful man in the world. So, what does that make Henry? PRETTY BAD A** THAT’S WHAT!!! :ugeek: :ugeek: :ugeek:
The children of the show’s main players (Emma, Henry, Baelfire) are going to have a big impact in season 2. I think we’re going to finally hear their side of story and get some good character development from them as well.

Come on, it has to be Belle. The ship that launched a thousand fanfics. Her one episode alone changed the way everyone viewed Rumple/Mr. Gold. Just think what her five minutes on screen in the finale and a summer of speculation will do. 😆
Yeah, but Bae is theraison d’etre for everything Rumple does, so how can we choose? Belle’s the heart; Bae’s the soul; I can’t select just one, so I’m double dipping. BTW, did you ever notice how the names Belle and Baelfire kind of sound alike?
I’ve also noticed the similarities between Belle and Bae. And not just their names either. They both loved Rumpel. They both tried to save him from the curse of the Dark One. Rumpel pushed them both away out of either fear or anger. And their “losses” have haunted him ever since. And on top of that, they both brown hair. They were his “prices” for using so much magic.
I think Rumpel’s love for Belle is strongly rooted in the fact that he probably viewed her as an older, female version of Bae. They both had the same goals and desires, and they were both incredibly brave given their situations. Couple that with their similar physical appearance and you’ll see a pattern. Rumpel didn’t listen to Bae and he ended up losing him the process. Skip ahead a few hundred eyars, and he makes the same mistake again with Belle. Belle basically echoed everything Bae was trying to tell him.

The characters, now that they remember FTL, will realize what they have in common and learn to help each other. I’m imagining Charming, Geppetto, Jefferson and Rumple in a support group for fathers forced to miss out on their kids’ childhoods–well, maybe more like a Friday-night poker group.
I agree with this, but to a certain extent. I actually see Mr. Gold forming an alliance with Jefferson and Kathryn to seek revenge against Regina. Jefferson and Kathryn have all suffered at the hands of Regina and are probably ripe for revenge.
And even though Mr. Gold probably kept Kathryn locked in his basement, I can’t help but think that he treated her with decent care. He probably took the opportunity to make an ally out of Kathryn and turn her against Regina. Unlike Regina, Mr. Gold makes an effort to appear useful to others. Even when he’s clearly screwing them over, he always gives them something in return. Even the show’s purest characters have fallen victim to this. Snow, Charming, Emma…they know how evil Mr. Gold/Rumpel is, and yet they continue to run to him for help.
But back to Kathryn. The show just seemed to forget about Kathryn’s storyline as soon as she came back. It’s was very strange. It was almost as if they were saving her for a big reveal in season 2. I think Kathryn, along with Jefferson, will be Mr. Gold’s sleeping giants.
a_desperate_soulParticipantI absolutely WORSHIP Mr. Gold and Belle’s scenes. I’m still surprised by how many scenes they actually got. I never ship fictional couples, so this pairing has really made an impact on me. The look on Mr. Gold’s face is what touched me the most. He looked as if he was staring at a ghost. And I guess in his eyes he was. He was probably expecting his hand to go right through her when he touched her shoulder. 😆
a_desperate_soulParticipantI honestly don’t have any least favorite moments. This finale was BEYOND PHENOMENAL!!!
Moments that Stuck Out:
-Ok, come on. Mr. Gold and Belle’s reunion had to be the most satisfying scene of the finale. After waiting 3 months for Belle’s reappearance and reunion with Mr. Gold, we DESERVED this episode. Mr. Gold touching Belle’s shoulder just to make sure that she was real struck me like a lightening bolt. Why is it that the most evil character on the show always manages to make me cry the most? 😥 And I love that both exchanged mutual “I love yous.” I was releaved when Mr. Gold told her that. He didn’t get the chance to tell her that in “Skin Deep,” so it was important for him to say now.I was also surprised by the sheer number of scenes they got. I was preparing myself for one little 30 second scene and then BOOM…CLIFFHANGER. But no. The writers really delivered on their promise.
I know a lot of people are upset about Mr. Gold bringing magic to Storybrooke, but I couldn’t help but laugh when it happened. 😆 I fell in love with Rumpel from his very first scene. I’ve been with this nutcase through good times and bad. So, seeing the emergence of his darker side didn’t really bother me that much. I love evil Rumpel and love romantic Rumpel. 😀
a_desperate_soulParticipantBeautiful video! Their reunion will probably go down as my favorite moment of the season. 😀

Me too! I posted somehwhere on here that I had a dream that Rumplestiltskin showed up at a store and I hid in the aisle on the side just so he wouldn’t look at me, kind of like the townspeople did with the Dark One. However, with him on screen and me in my living room, I love him. 😀 I’m going to put his giggle as my ringtone. I just want to see Gold in his fancy suit and tie do the Rumple giggle. Please writers, just once give us the giggle in Storybrooke.
LOL! A Rumpel giggle ringtone!!! 😆 😆 😆 I love this idea!
I honestly thought we were going to get a Rumpel giggle in the finale, but alas, it was not meant to be.
a_desperate_soulParticipantExactly. Mr. Gold loves Baelfire and Belle both. Parental love and romantic love are two completely different things and I’m not sure why he should be forced to choose between the two. Should Snow be forced to choose between Emma and Charming? No, of course not. Most people grow up to have a spouse and children. It’s perfectly reasonable to have both.
Besides, Baelfire and Belle shared the exact same goal: To rid Rumpel of the Dark One’s curse. So, why would he be forced to choose between the two of them when they’re both exactly the same? So, I’m not sure why loving Belle would destroy his master plan. Baelfire would want Mr. Gold to find love again. He’d want his father to find someone who makes him feel human again. Baelfire would be proud to know that someone still believed in him and wanted to help him. When all is said and done, Baelfire would probably thank Belle for not giving up on his father. He would thank Belle for picking up where he left off.
And I also don’t think Belle is “expendable.” So far, she’s been the only one who has been able to break Rumpel’s curse. We know that her kiss can do that. So, I doubt Mr. Gold would toss her aside. Especially now sense she’s back in his life again.
This whole Belle or Bae thing is getting creepy. 😯
