Just because Gold was manipulating Emma to get the magics and not really caring about Henry doesn’t take away from what she did. Emma still believe, she became the hero, she killed the dragon, she saved Henry and partial broke the curse which allowed everyone to regain their memories. Her character went to the hero place and gets that credit.
I agree. Emma was amzing in the finale. 😀 I love how her actions closely mirrored that of her father’s in Fairytale land. But like others have said, Mr. Gold manipulates both sides so that no matter who wins, he still emerges victorious.
[adrotate group="5"]a_desperate_soulParticipantJefferson deserves a gold medal for rescuing Belle. No, I’m serious. Someone give this man his reward. 😀
I can’t wait to see where the writers Belle’s her story in season 2. I was surprised to hear that she’ll be in season 2 because there were there were so many cynics who said that she was going to die in the finale. Thank all the gods in heaven they were wrong.
I think Belle and Rumpel will eventually have their happy ending. No one on the show has been able to truly separate themselves from their true love. They always find a way to see each other again. Even when one of them believes the other to be dead (Belle and Rumpel, Abigal and Frederick), they always end up meeting each other again in another life. Rumpel lost Belle in his previous life, but now he has a chance to be with her in this new life. Yes, they will have a ton of obsticals, but like I said before, no one can escape true love.
a_desperate_soulParticipantMr. Gold and Belle were AMAZING in the season finale. Mr. Gold’s face when he saw Belle for the first time was heartbreaking. He literally could not believe his eyes. He had to touch her and ask if she was real to make sure that he wasn’t seeing things. And the tears. 😥 Even when Mr. Gold is crying tears of joy, it still makes me sad. 😥
I wonder if we’re going to see a darker Belle in season 2? After being kept in a mental asylum for 28 years and living with Mr. Gold, Belle’s innocence will probably be shattered. 😮
a_desperate_soulParticipantWell, if I had to go with a non-Rumpel centric episode, then I’d go with “Heart of Darkness.” But to be honest, one of the reasons why I liked it so much was because of Rumpel’s scenes with Snow and Charming. So, we’re kind of back where we started. 😆

And I’m not sure how much good Emma’s heroic deeds actually created. All of her actions in the finale ended up benefiting Mr. Gold in the end. She slayed the dragon only for Mr. Gold to take the egg and leaver her in the elevator. Yes she broke the curse, but that’s exactly what Mr. Gold wanted. And immediately afterwards, he brought magic into the world, placing himself back on top. Like others have stated before, no matter who emerges victorious from the season finale, Mr. Gold will always still have the upper hand.
Eeek. You just totally killed my image of heroic Emma in the season finale. 🙁
a_desperate_soulParticipantPlease, no more talk of Baelfire being dead. I love that little guy. 😥 He really touched my heart in “Desperate Souls” and “The Return.” I loved his bravery and common sense.
a_desperate_soulParticipantI can I be the keeper of Rumpelstiltskin’s disappearing act? 😀

Hands down Rumplestiltskin.
Prince Charming also because he is so brave and gallant and so not David. Loved the sword fight between him and Rumpel in the finale.
I also chose Rumpelstiltskin. 😀 I don’t know how he manages to make me laugh, love and fear him all at the same time, but he does. He’s worked his magic on me. 😀
a_desperate_soulParticipantI’m a true Rumbelle fangirl. 😀 I cried the most pathetic tears of joy during their reunion last week. I wanted to leap through the television screen and kiss Jefferson when he rescued Belle. 😆

It looks the voters were right on point with this poll. 😀 Mr. Gold definitely walked away with a major victory in the season finale. Let’s just hope he can hold onto it.
