I find it odd that you only like Rumpel when he’s included with the Charmings. But when the writers give him a personal backstory or relationship, you think it’s unnecessary. It’s almost as if you he shouldn’t have a backstory or character development at all. 😆
But I guess it has more to do with personal taste. If someone is really into the Charmings, then their interest in other characters only spikes when they’re in a scene with the Charmings. It’s the same with me. I’m really into Rumpel and Regina, so the only time I ever find Emma or Snow interesting is when Rumpel or Regina is involved.
I know, it’s strange, but that’s how the human mind works sometimes.
Ooo! This is the episode when Regina first meets Rumpel. right? I’ve been waiting for this all summer. 😀 I always enjoy their scenes together.

I agree. The screentime was pretty equal in my book. Saying that the episode had too much Rumpel is like saying the episode had too much Regina. They’re both main characters and they both added to the story. Rumpel in particular because he’s the one who not only brought the magic into Storybrooke, but he also released the wraith. The episode would be 30 minutes shorter without his part in it.
I think it’s pretty equal. Some fans feel that if one villain is redeemed, then other won’t be. Personally, I think they’ll both redeemed in the end. But in regards to who’s more evil, I really can’t say.

WHOA. So much to cover. Ok…
My Rumbelle-loving heart is just singing right now! 😀 I’m glad to hear that Belle and Rumpel will be able to kiss. I honestly thought that he would restrain from any physical contact with Belle put of fear of losing his powers. But like Midnight Dreary said, maybe Rumpel isn’t the Dark One anymore. I think him being in this world has taken away his dark powers. Either that, or he made a deal with Belle to get rid of hid powers and that’s why he kissed her.
I also think Hook is the man who Rumpel’s first wife left him for. There’s also the possibility that Hook is Baelfire’s biological father. I guess Zoso wasn’t lying when he said that Bae wasn’t his. So sad. 😥 I also wouldn’t be surprised if Rumpel was the one who chopped off Hook’s hand. Revenge probably.
Rumpel’s past with Hook probably explains why he sent Smee to kidnapp (or threaten) Belle. He’s probably just screwing with Rumpel’s head. Kind of like “Ha ha, I stole your first wife and now I have your second.”
I am almost certain that Michael Raymond James is either Baelfire, Henry’s father or both. CERTAIN.
P.S. Magazines need to start interviewing Robert Carlyle more often, because he’s the only actor on the show who will actually deliver REAL spoilers. 😆
