ONCE - Once Upon a Time podcast
Reviews, theories, and talk about ABC's Once Upon a Time TV show
I’m afraid that I honestly don’t agree with the excuse that Snow White is just a child. Yes, if she was a five year old then obviously she wouldn’t know any better. But at ten years old, only three years away from being a teenager, she should know better. She should know that all promises should be kept! Regina has every right to be angry with Snow White for betraying her trust. Especially when it cost Daniel his life. I do agree that she should also be angry with her mother for everything that transpired, as it was she who actually killed Daniel. Of course, we don’t exactly know what happened to Regina’s mother yet. Regina could very well have sought her vengeance on her mother as we don’t see her in flashbacks of earlier episodes that portrayed Regina’s fairy tale life.
However, to answer your question. Yes, I do feel sorry for Regina. As it is stated many times “Evil is not born. It’s made.” She wasn’t evil until she lost her love. Snow White made that evil spark to life within Regina when she betrayed her secret and created that metaphorical snowball that ruined EQ’s life.
