Hi CS shippers! Sunday’s episode was a bit rocky for captainswan and I would like to get other CS shippers’ opinions on that jolly roger scene. Do you think Dark!Emma was just manipulating Hook or was she really torn? On that last line where she says “it is your ship” she seems like she is holding back tears and I hope it was genuine emotion, but then that scene with imaginary rumple had me questioning it. Thoughts?? Also what do you think of Hook’s reaction? “I loved you”.. I wish he didn’t use the past tense, it was a bit harsh and sad 🙁 He can still read her like a book though and see that she is after something. I think Emma will need love to be pulled back from the darkness so I wish Henry and Hook wouldn’t put up walls, but rather continue trying/interacting with her and remind her of her past self.

AgleptaParticipantI really think Guinevere is super shady and wonder if the whole “affair” was just a cover story and the real reason Lancelot left Camelot had to do with him discovering something about Guinevere and Arthur’s plans/shadiness. If I recall Lancelot in Lady of the Lake never said specifically why he left the round table right?

AgleptaParticipantNo I definitely admit that it is a crack pot theory and would only work if Arthur was somehow manipulating Lancelot as well. What gave me pause was that Lancelot was just hanging out in Arthur’s castle. If he left on bad terms I would be surprised he would not only return to Camelot but also turn up right in the center of the castle. Unless he conveniently heard about Snow and David in Camelot and risked going back just to warn them, which does seem like the sort of thing he would do. My other crazy theory is that this is another fake Lancelot and he really is dead, but I find that very very very unlikely and would be mad if this was the case.

AgleptaParticipantWhat if Lancelot is actually on Arthur’s side and they manipulate Snow and charming together to get them separated and to get the dagger. Isn’t it a bit weird how Lancelot shows up and Snow immediately confesses Emma is the dark one? And this is right after David admits that he and Snow met Lancelot once? Might be a crazy theory, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that happens.

Afterall, we know Killian and his brother used a magical sail made from the feathers of a Pegasus, a creature from greek mythology. So his realm might have had other interactions with figures from Greek mythology. This plus the blatant foreshadowing with the Fury in 502 seems to be tipping the scale from “likely” to “very likely” for me that we will meet Hades and/or Hercules in 5B.

AgleptaParticipantAlso, totally agree with the following, as my husband and I thought the exact same thing when we watched the first time. Figured she was just trying to make DO/Imaginary Rumple go away, didn’t realize it was also her attempt at a TLK. (we can be a little slow at times….)
Right! After I rewatched that scene I noticed how desperate Emma seemed, as if hoping beyond hope the kiss would stop it. Imaginary Rumple even teased her saying she must have liked the power otherwise that kiss would have stopped her arm from being all glittery.

AgleptaParticipantI just want to chime in and say I agree that CS is one of the more slow moving and naturally progressing ships – ie it doesn’t feel forced at all. Some of my favorite CS moments are when they are bonding over insights into each other’s history/family and learning more about one another. For example when Emma is going through her childhood things and they watch the video of her as a teen together, or when they watch Snow and Charming fall in love and Emma gets emotional and hook tells her its okay. They also have some fun moments where they tease each other like Emma joking that Killian was a kid a thousand years ago and he has to correct her (it was more like 200) or when she is practicing magic and takes his hook. Finally, they actually went out on a normal date together, pretty rare for this show. IDK, I adore CS and am okay that TLK didn’t work to break the DO curse. TLK is a bit overdone anyway for this series.

September 28, 2015 at 9:40 am in reply to: 5×01 “The Dark Swan” what are your FAVORITE and LEAST favorite moments? #308616AgleptaParticipantFavorite moments:
Emma DO in training stuff was great as everyone has already mentioned and I like having Merida around.
I liked sneezy the sheriff, even if it was short lived.
Granny had some good lines, wish we had more!
I LOVE that the dagger is really from Excalibur, I had suspected this based on a spoiler I read about the dagger wasn’t always a dagger, and I am happy with the direction they are taking this (for now at least.)
Least favorite:
I actually like the idea of a time jump, but the memory loss? Really?!? Ugh.. okay
Hook is usually one of my favorites on the show, but I disliked him being over the top angry and getting in Regina’s face about things. Hook initially being upset and trying to summon the DO with the dagger and being grumpy when it doesn’t work – I get that! But then later when he gets mad at Regina over the wand?? eh too much. Also, how did he figure out so quickly that Regina being too good was the problem?! If the wand needs light and dark, how is the WW the immediate obvious choice? Unless her unborn child is innocent and therefor light? I don’t get it. EDIT: I just re-watched the episode and the apprentice said something about the wand being light, so I guess it just needs someone with darkness to use it not someone with BOTH light and darkness. Still a bit confusing, but I imagine the wand will be used again in future episodes. Also they need to explain that hook potion thing, because that does not fit with what we were told before.
Random complaint: Why were Robin and Roland at the loft? Do they live there too?! Why aren’t they crashing at Regina’s much larger house? Did I miss something from Season 4 about this?

AgleptaParticipantBased on this convo I definitely think it is shipping related, but it doesn’t sound all that ominous?
@Betsypaige24 @findtheseashore I don't know! I think it's incredibly awesome but I have no idea what the fans will think.
