hmm… Also from Wikipedia: “In Sir Thomas Malory’s text, Le Morte D’Arthur he refers to Nimue as one of two Lady of the Lakes. Malory strives to dissociate Nymue from the general title of the Lady of the Lake. This is due to the fact that Sir Balin kills one of the ladies of the lake and if the woman that dies is Nymue, Malory loses a key element to the plot of his tale. Malory takes the time to mention Nymue as the “chief” and most important lady.”
Okay call me captain obvious, but this helps me rationalize why Nimue will be a different lady of the lake from the one Charming defeated in the enchanted forest.
I agree with TheWatcher, I think this Nimue/lady of the lake will be the first dark one.

Yeah, I agree. I think he may be “Imaginary Friend Rumple” and an image/vision Emma’s subconscious has created to better understand/come to terms with the fact that she is now the new dark one.
