(though, that begs the question of why we need Nimue…)
I bet Nimue won’t actually play that big of a role, other than in flashbacks as the DO and Merlin’s love. She is probably like Emma in that she thinks she is doing the right thing, but using darkness to get it done and when Merlin tries to stop her or warn her that bad things will happen, that is when she traps him in the tree. OR she tries to protect him from something by trapping him, but I think it is more likely she does it to stop him from stopping her. It is probably an emotional scene and will have parallels to current Dark!Emma. Shortly after she traps him, I imagine she is then is killed by someone who is power hungry for the dagger. The dagger is a lot like the Elder Wand from Harry Potter both the source of great power and weakness and once others find out about it they will try killing the current DO to get that power.

AgleptaParticipantHuh, so on another forum people are saying Excalibur has Killian Jones written on it and the dagger part has Emma Swan’s name.
So…thus far this season the writers have been harping on Regina as the new Savior, but Dark Swan woke up Tabula Rasa Rumple in order to mold him into the hero she needs, but it’s all a bait and switch for Hook as the seasonal hero?
Yeah.. I just..*sigh* I hope it ends up being really good, but I was happy Emma didn’t go to Hook to be the Hero (from the promos I thought that MIGHT be the direction they were heading.) I was surprised she decided she needed to wake up rumple. It was a pleasant surprise too since it wasn’t predictable like Regina or Charming, definitely confusing but I liked the twist. Anyway I am hoping there is adequate build up to explain this and maybe even more to it than Hook is the ultimate Hero or anything along those lines. I do like Hook, but I like him being a bit complicated and not the perfect Hero. Anyway, I just really really hope it is a good story and makes sense.

In the link above there are more photos of this scene and in one pic you can kinda see where it says Killian Jones on the sword. I am so utterly confused right now and am starting to wonder if for 5B I should just stay spoiler free. What the heck are they doing to Arthurian legend? I am very curious to see how this goes down.

AgleptaParticipantFake-killing and then real-killing someone is a game these writers like to play, though, so the theory that Lance’s heart fuels the present curse (assuming it really WAS a curse) seems plausible.
At this point, that seems like the most likely scenario, but I really REALLY wish it was something else. Anything else from the dark curse, something more clever and not overly done would be awesome.

AgleptaParticipantNow to what end, I have no idea, but I’m hoping, hoping (!!) there is more to DarkSwan that what we’re seeing.
Me too!!! Ugh is it Sunday yet? This is where netflix has spoiled me I have gotten used to binge watching my favorite shows.
By the way has anyone seen the sneak peak and promo? From the press release and videos it looks like there will be some nice CS moments in the flash backs. I think at one point they go off on horse back <3
Also, anyone read Once upon a snarky recap? I love her reviews and blog. https://onceuponasnarkyrecap.wordpress.com/

AgleptaParticipantbut the thing is I recall rump saying his trip to Camelot for the gauntlet went well for him, not so well for them. If its not another retcon, I think something hardcore is about to go down.
Ah I took too long to post my theory, you got there first! I guess it didn’t go well for them because Rumple can see things in the future and knows that using the fairydust/potion will backfire or lead to disastrous results for Camelot. Now I really wonder what the heck it could be?

AgleptaParticipantI keep forgetting that Granny’s was in the enchanted forest, so it looks like Lancelot and Snow head there to hide the dagger or to meet in secret about hiding the dagger. I am starting to think when Snow says you followed us she is speaking to BOTH Charming and Arthur. Charming probably knows how to track his wife and this could definitely lead to some drama for snowing. Perhaps that is in part how they failed Emma.
Also I don’t think the Gauntlet will be too big of a plot point. I am guessing they run into or seek out Rumpelstiltskin and they make a deal for whatever is in that bottle Rumple is holding?

AgleptaParticipantI wanna know where Emma got the feathers. Is she randomly going around Camelot plucking the wildlife?
Hahaha that would be a very lighthearted and strange scene. Although I guess she is Swan… so maybe she starts generating her own? Nah if anything she is taking some of the ones that spill out of her bed/bedding. Camelot looks like a place that would have featherbeds.

AgleptaParticipantIs anyone else confused about why Snow and Charming are wearing their camelot clothes in Granny’s diner with Lancelot? I think this scene is a flashback. Maybe Lancelot never makes it to SB and they head to where Granny’s dinner is in the EF to hide the dagger.

AgleptaParticipantTelling her that he loved her, didn’t mean he does not love her anymore. Look at the context – he told her that Emma, with walls was the one he loved, the true one not power addicted manipulator. He was protecting himself, which was the right healthy thing to do.
No I definitely see that and I do agree. He was being manipulated and I am glad in part that he didn’t give in and be an enabler. However, it still hurt to hear him say that line and I am torn if it would have been better for him to say something else. In another forum other CS shippers were making some good points about it being a lose-lose situation. Yes, he hurt her by saying that line, but this was while she was playing mind games and forcing him to give an answer. Killian doesn’t want her to let him go, but he also doesn’t want to be vulnerable to the dark one. So he basically gave a partially true answer.
BTW, I am still suspicious about Emma’s motives – I find it really hard to believe she wants to snuff out the light with the sword+dagger. I suspect and hope she is trying to fool the darkness inside her and I think she wants to do the right thing, but is just using (manipulating?) the darkness to get it done.
