I think Emma has made her choice pretty clear to the audience, so it’s not a cheap way to develop CS at ALL in my opinion. Like you guys have been saying, even people who were resolutely SURE SF was going to be endgame changed their minds after 3×11.

I’m pretty convinced now that it’s Neal too. It’s just such a shame, there were a lot of places his character could go. I’m wondering if Adam’s tweet was just to cover his butt. Maybe the actor is leaving because, like you’ve been saying, he’s unhappy about where his character has been going.

Anyone have that plot device meta?? I’d be interested in reading it again.. I’ve been seeing some arguments that Neal isn’t one and that he’s done a lot this season.
Good point about Emma too. It’s canon that it’s easier for her to move on from him if he’s dead. Really does make you wonder if the Neal death has been planned.
I’m worried about the “fanservice” argument i’ll admit. I agree with you though, on what A&E said about the triangle. It’s been promoted as more of a Captain Swan – – – – – – Neal triangle lol.
Ok I feel better now Eala, thanks. All of what you’re saying makes sense to me. I agree that Colin seems to be very happy with his work on Once and would be unlikely to leave due to that reason.
Great point about Hook having no ties to anyone but Emma and Charming and being LESS likely to be killed off. It makes logical sense to me too – the death of a major character should matter AND it should also drive the plot forward because otherwise it’s pointless. 🙂

Just caught up… I’m dismayed to say the least. Very slightly worried – but I think that’s just initial panic. Ew.
IT LITERALLY DOESN’T MATTER. Killian is the one who is there, who is bringing back her memories, who is bringing her HOME (BELIEVE A LOST GIRL CAN FIND HER WAY HOME, BELIEVE A PIRATE CAN BE A HERO), who is attempting True Love’s Kiss. THAT IS FREAKING HUGE Like Adam and Eddie said, what matters is the HOW AND WHEN, not the WHY, Killian went after her.
Yeah I agree. TLK is pretty huge, you can’t just throw that around 🙂
