ParticipantThey won’t kill Gideon, at worst they’ll rebabify him to give him a second chance to grow up loved with Belle and Rumple. To kill him would be the final slap in the face to Belle’s character.
Agree, they will not kill Gideon that would be HORRIBLE for both Belle and Rumple

ParticipantHere is a crazy thought, what if we are getting a prequel. So we have teacher Rumple, student Regina, and why Hook is there who knows but he is (which would allow A and E to keep pirate non fat Hook). This would be before Charming and Snow and before Belle so they would not be there. Any Snow we would have would be Snow as a teenager or preteen. Now how Henry and mysterious girl work into it I don’t know. Maybe they have to travel back in time for some unknown reason and change something to preserve all the happy endings. I would almost prefer this scenario because the more I think about it the more I need Rumple to be very complex and he is at his best as a desperate father trying to get back or keep his son. If we are in the WR what is Rumple’s motivation, he would just be an one dimensional character without any depth and that would suck.

ParticipantTo me this gives me 100% sure, that S6 gives everyone happy endings in SB and then S7 is set in Wish world.
Agree

ParticipantAlmost guarantees we will be in the wish realm.

ParticipantSince Bobby is staying so no killing Rumple, and if they going with Wish world, hook doesn`t need to find Emma, bc she is already in SB with Hook, the same goes to Rumple, he exists in SB with Belle and gideon.
yeah I meant if they kill Storybrooke Rumple (you know like predicted in the prophesy) I could see them trying to satisfy fans by having wish realm Rumple trying to figure this out, and the same goes if the kill Emma but Wish realm Hook has no relationship with either Emma so why would he bother. Either way it is kinda of squirly so I don’t know how they are going to make it work.

ParticipantIt seems crazy that they might just be introducing different versions of the same character. They then aren’t the same character at all. They wouldn’t have the same memories. I think that seems bizarre. That means that all the characters from the original Ouat are gone if these are different versions of those characters. At this point, we need more information, so i will wait til we see what happens in the finale.
Yeah it does, but I bet that is what they are going to do. So instead of a reboot what we are getting is essentially a spin off. I am okay with that at this point, I will know more how I feel after the finale.
As for the theory of Storybrooke people going to the Wish Realm the main problem with that is if they are already there. I think it would be problematic to have a drunk fat Hook hanging out and a Storybrooke Hook there also, same with Regina. It is already problematic that there is two versions of Regina (EQ who has been banished and Storybrooke EQ) in the wish realm they really should not add a third.
If they do a wish realm version of OUAT I think that is what it will be just our characters in the wish realm. I could see Rumple figuring out that Belle is alive in some other parallel universe and trying to figure out how to get her and Gideon to the wish realm especially if they kill off the Rumple in Storybrooke. I couldn’t see wish realm Hook doing this for Emma because he barely knows her in this universe.
My question is, what will be the dilemma in the wish realm that they need to solve. Are they cursed, are they trying to leave the wish realm, or is it just these characters living their lives in the wish realm.

ParticipantWow you guys are being negative about this. The show has needed a reboot, and maybe it will be horrible but maybe it will recapture what we loved in season 1-3. Couple of things I do know and am happy about.
1. Obviously Rumple is not dying unless all his scenes take place in flashbacks or they are in the wish realm
2. If they are in the Wish realm we get to see fat drunk Hook again unless they make him go on a diet and stop drinking
3. While I like the chemistry between Snow and Charming, they really have not done much in a long time and Snow can be very judgmental and hypocritical
4. No more Emma being completely OOC
5. As for Belle leaving I guess we will have to wait and see. I think it was not that long ago that everyone said that Rumple’s character was being completely killed off (I guess that was wrong)
6. Maybe we will get back to the premise of the show which is fairy tale characters (not just Disney but all fairy tale characters) and how they all interact with each other and how their stories are not exactly what we think. I could totally go for that
I think I will know more about how I will feel about this new season after the finale, but as of right now I am kind of excited at least I will get to discuss the show for another year.

ParticipantIt’s funny. It should’ve been CS shippers moment of triumph
Yeah and the fact that the ratings actually dropped says something also. Maybe CS is not the end all of end alls. I don’t think it was a coincidence that ratings drop for CS wedding but went up for an episode that actually moved things along like the Black Fairy. I think everyone is sick of CS except for CS shippers.

ParticipantSee I think you guys are missing the point. My husband who watches this with me every week was like wow that was a waste. My son laughed through all of it and hated it. Not everyone who watches this show thinks that a non musical show should do a musicale no matter how they promote it. I only watched it becasue I am dedicated to the show other than that I would have been nope. I also saw they promoted the Middle Musicale. I watch that show on a somewhat regular basis but will avoid that episode like the plague because non musicale shows should not do musicales. That with being paired with the CS wedding, which is only interesting if you are a CS fan which is the majority of the viewership but not all of it. In other words I am not shocked the ratings went down. Let’s face it the episode did very little to move the plot along or develop characters. Last week the ratings went up because it was important to moving the plot along and developing characters. This at essence was a throw away episode with the exception of the CS wedding mixed in and the dark curse coming, other than that what actually happened?

I think they might realize with the backlash towards JMo’s departure, alongside sinking ratings, continuing the show isn’t worth it at this point. Quote I think it’s too late for that. In my opinion, they’ll renew the show for 10 more episodes and that’s it. American Idol will replace OUAT in March. Quote I think this is the most likely scenario too.
Really then why bother. If they are going to try a reboot then they need to go for it, plan for a full season and let’s see how it goes. I am actually kinda looking forward to the reboot now that JMO is gone. I think they should probably end Carlyle and Emilie too (although not by death!). Keep Regina, Hook, and Zelena as side characters and introduce the main new ones and let’s see how it goes. I think the focus needs to be brought off of Disney a little bit also. I loved the idea of untold stories and thought they could do a whole lot more with that than they did.
