ParticipantJust because this is now a renewed “safe” zone where I can express my opinions and not get any negative comments back from CS shippers as they have found their “safe” zone in which they would not like to discuss, debate, or otherwise analyze their favorite characters with any kind of criticism (big surprise there). I would like to take the opportunity to say I miss Bae and more importantly I miss who Emma as a character was before Bae’s death. I think the show has done a horrendous job with her and with his death. Season 1-3 Emma was tough, fair, and good. Season 4-6 Emma is weak, self centered, and boring. The only conclusion I can come to from this is that Emma was a better person when Neal/Bae was around. I guess that is the definition of true love is that when we are with that person we become the best version of ourselves not because we want to change for that person but becasue that person makes us want to be the best version of ourselves. Emma was definitely a better version of herself with Neal than she is with Hook. Although I would say that Hook is a better version of himself with Emma. My conclusion, Emma’s true love was Neal and Hook’s true love is Emma. Maybe that is why Emma has been struggling so much the last couple of seasons, she is trying to substitute Hook for her true love and it is just not working.

ParticipantThis makes it sound like Black Fairy isn’t all that bad after all. So does that mean Blue is the bad one? Oh man, one time. So happy they got Malcolm back. That’s so needed.
I am literally SO excited, I hope I am not disappointed.

Participanthis destiny is prophesized, she does everything in her power to keep it from happening.
Maybe they will do a parallel and have the fairy godmother (Blue!) tell her that her actions as a mother will make her son become a beastly monster so she tries to prevent this by abandoning her son and not being his mother. This would be a great parallel to Rumple’s seer prophesy of leaving his son fatherless by his actions on the battlefield.

ParticipantDid anyone else think that Charming might know or suspect what one of the symbols on the author paper meant. I thought that was a weird moment when Charming looks down at the paper and at the symbols. He had a expression on his face that seems to say hey I recognize that but I am not going to mention it.

ParticipantBut Stanum seems like a pretty solid dude. I actually think he had a thing for Zelena….but just didn’t have the heart to tell her. Hes probably been out of the dating game so long that now hes a little rusty. He probably would have gotten that heart if hed worked up the courage to axe her out.
Thank You, I love Puns!!!!

ParticipantI can’t believe they didn’t finish his story, I was expecting Zelena to return to OZ (since she seems to be able to travel there without a problem) find the statue of Stanum and put the heart in his chest. This would have made the flashbacks at least relevant and even more then Zelena and Robyn could have stayed in OZ and Zelena and Stanum could have continued their friendship and she could have made other friendships. This would have tied up Zelena’s story line perfectly. We are not moving at a very fast pace to tie up all the loose ends if they are planing on rebooting or ending the series.

ParticipantSo in the dark realm she was having kids mine the black diamonds? because that makes dark fairy dust. Maybe she is just going to coat everyone in dark fairy dust, turn them all into cockroaches, and then have a stomping party.

ParticipantI thought this was a HUGE sacrifice. I think there is a definite parallel to how Zelena sees magic and how Rumple sees magic. They use it to feel powerful, to protect themselves and the ones they love, and to feel special. So it will be interesting to see what Zelena will do now that she does not have magic, if she will try and somehow get it back (maybe the necklace in Regina’s vault), and how useful she will feel without it. She is going to need some major support from Regina and the other heroes and I am not sure she will get it. I think at least to the Charmings and CS Zelena is only acceptable when she is useful and now that she does not have magic what will her role be?

ParticipantI know, I am totally excited but that usually means that I will be disappointed.

ParticipantI thought this episode was entertaining. It was definitely not the worse episode of the half and it was definitely not the best. I would give it a 7.5/10
Liked:
Snow’s big wedding book that she has been collecting since after the first curse.
The parallel between Charmings and Rumbelle both realizing how much time they have lost with their child and how they don’t want to miss anymore milestones
Zelena acting like a hero and “sacrificing” her specialness (power) for the betterment of everyone else. Although it would have been more satisfying if they linked the flashbacks and had Zelena go to OZ and give the tinman the heart after it sucked up her power.
Zelena realizing that what she really wants is friends and family
The ending scene between Regina, Zelena, and Emma was well done.
Rumple being unselfish for once and allowing Emma, Regina, and more importantly Zelena (you know the woman who killed his first kid) help him with Blue
Rumbelle was very good, Belle actually had more than just a few seconds of screen time although she was relegated yet again to babysitter and was supporting Rumple in every way.
I now officially can’t wait until next week
Disliked:
Man I am glad they backtracked on Regina and Zelena because Regina was being a total jerk with her why don’t you just go back to OZ.
The fact that all the “heroes” were totally on board with kicking Zelena out of Storybrook and then they were like yeah no problem give up what you feel makes you special. I wonder if anyone would ever ask or encourage Regina or Emma to do the same. That’s right in Season 4 they all encouraged Emma NOT to give up her powers because that is what made her special. I know the situation is different but I don’t think Zelena’s sacrifice was acknowledged enough.
