ParticipantShe’s upset bc he deceived her, left her for dead and TRIED TO KILL HER TWICE.
First of all, the shop scene was before Gideon deceived her it was right after he told her that he was being abused by the black fairy, needed her help to save 100’s of children, and that Hook was not hurt just away. She then decided to go to the shop with dear old mom who should have been filled in about all this with Emma and said that your son has a death wish and I am happy to fulfill it. Your son is using Hook as a bargaining chip. This is my problem, she has used Belle very recently as a bargaining chip and therefore is being a hypocrite and blackmailing Rumple was not very “hero” like.
She’s upset bc he deceived her, left her for dead and TRIED TO KILL HER TWICE. And separated her from Hook. You’re making it seem like what Gideon has done is minor. If someone tried to kill you twice and sent away the person you loved and deceived you after they said they were good, would you just do what Rumbelle is telling you? Do what the Dark One is telling you, someone who would protect his son no matter what he was doing. Of course not. You would defend yourself and try and get rid of them.
Well by this reasoning, Rumple is completely justified in killing Emma and Hook. If I am not mistaken Emma tried to kill Belle on several different occasions, and imprisoned Rumple while she was the dark one, and then lets not forget sending Rumple away from Belle to the underworld by blackmailing him (while she was not the dark one). Hook has tried to kill Belle and Rumple on several different occasions. Rumple has every right to protect his son from Emma who has made it very obvious in the last couple of seasons that Rumple and Belle are not in her “family” and therefore do not deserve her protection. Emma has become a “savior” when it effects only the ones she loves.

ParticipantBecause Emma is supposed to be a “hero” and rather than showing sympathy towards RumBelle and the situation with Gideon, Emma is marching into the shop and threatening to kill their son all because she’s mad that Gideon sent away Hook. Emma’s anger seems to focus on that rather than Gideon’s attempted murder of her. The way Emma is behaving right now, Hook deserves better.
This! Emma is upset that Gideon is messing with her life, and the hypocrisy is almost unforgiving. She went in there and stated that Gideon is using Hook as a bargaining chip while she has done the exact same thing to Rumple. She went into his shop and blackmailed him to take them to the underworld by using Belle. And guess what you could blame Emma for the entire Gideon mess if you want to she was the first domino in all of this. You have this paired with the Charmings doing the exact same thing, Snow stating that she would love to help Emma because they need bonding time is horribly ridiculous. These are supposed to be our “heroes” and they are being self centered, hypocritical jerks

ParticipantI guess that was just Gideon? Feeding on Belle’s own fears about Rumple and “seeing” bits of Rumple’s past
I completely see how that could be true but then that makes it an awfully big coincidence that Gideon is basically telling Belle right before he is born that she knows what she needs to do and there is no other way but to give him up to the blue fairy. Then you have the black fairy who somehow knows the blue fairy has Gideon, where to find her, overpowers her, and then takes Gideon. Could all of this be Belle being insecure and scared? Yes especially after all the horribleness that Rumple/Belle were doing to each other since she woke up from the sleeping curse, but that is kind of my point. Before the sleeping curse Rumple and Belle were not working together very well but they were not being completely horrible to each other either, that all happened after she was woken up by Gideon who basically then visited her to periodically tell her that Rumple was out to get them and destroy his life.

ParticipantI have a question, if the Black Fairy has Gideon’s heart was that Gideon in the dream world or Gideon being controlled by the Black Fairy? I mean technically he was not even born but it always bothered me that we see him as he is now, a 28 year old man and his purpose was to warn Belle that Rumple would tear their family apart as he did his first family. This never made sense to me as he was a great father to Bae before the dark one curse maybe the whole purpose was for the black fairy to separate out Belle and Rumple so that Belle would give Gideon to the Blue Fairy and therefore the Black Fairy could steal him.
Maybe the Black Fairy is like Rumple in the fact that she can see the future but does not know all the parts of the puzzle so she knows what she needs to do but not the finale results? The show gave some very good hints that they are paralleling Rumple and the Black Fairy they even had her saying “dearie” I wonder if her motivation has something to do with Rumple and winning his forgiveness somehow? Or maybe she is just evil.

ParticipantUnless Neverland ties directly to what is going on in Storybrooke I am going to be completely annoyed because if it does not they are wasting valuable air time that they could be using to finish off the series and answer questions and develop characters.

ParticipantDidn’t Issac say something about the finale chapter before this and that we would not want to see it or that it should not be written? I think the finale battle will be the black fairy and Emma. We only saw the hooded figure in the vision and I believe the podcast said something about how small the feet where and that they looked like women’s feet (this was in the beginning of the season like in the first couple of episodes) so maybe the black fairy is under the hood. I think this needs to be the finale chapter and would end the series nicely.

ParticipantSo many questions and yet no answers.
Why did the Black Fairy make it? Was it only to escape her realm?
The purpose of the black curse is to go to a realm without magic. The question is why did the black fairy want to go to a land without magic. She must have made the curse before Bae jumped through the portal because the Blue Fairy knew about the curse. Maybe the Black Fairy has some seer capabilities so she could see into the future?
Why couldn’t she use it? Does she really love nothing and no one?
Well she obviously does not love her own son or at least not that we have seen. If you are unable to love your own kids I doubt you could love anything else
How did she get the Dark Curse to the Chernabog’s cave
I think the blue fairy somehow obtained the dark curse and put it with Chernabog’s cave thinking it would be safe (sounds like the blue fairy being totally useless)
How long has she been planning the Dark Curse
Well before Bae went through the portal so over 200 years or so
How does she know about Emma or Savior’s in general
Again I think maybe she can see into the future so maybe Emma is her finale battle, if she defeats the savior she wins and the savior dies and if Emma wins the Black fairy dies?
How did she get the dust to Snow White all those years ago?
Well if she is like Rumple and wanted all of this to happen she was able to somehow arrange Snow to have the dust so that she could save David and put the savior in place to defeat.

ParticipantWow there was a lot of stuff for one episode. I give it a 8/10
Liked:
Rumple finally telling Emma how it is don’t mess with my son
Gideon telling Emma how it is and calling her self righteous someone needs to also get this message to Snow (Gideon is more like Rumple than Belle and I like it)
I enjoyed seeing Issac again, he was a little comic relief that this episode needed
The Black Fairy has Gideon’s heart which makes sense and makes his weird thinking believable
Mixed:
They probably could have left off the Hook and Black Beard stuff for this week we had enough going on without adding this but I guess we have to pander to the CS fans
I hate the Black Fairy’s voice inflections. I think they are going for sugary sweet but evil but I find it just annoying
Belle, he is your son why is it that your husband with the black heart has more faith in him than you do and why are you not sticking up for him. So what is your solution just give up on him?
Disliked:
Emma and Snow being hypocritical and self righteous!!!!!!!!!
AKA
ParticipantMan does that mess with evil isn’t born, it’s made.
Not necessarily, I mean I guess it would be how you define “evil” Is Rumple “evil” because he is the dark one or because of the decisions he has made as the dark one which were influenced by his negative thoughts of himself. These thoughts were mostly environmental (being considered a coward, having both his parents abandon him, being rejected and eventually abandoned by his wife) The dark one curse amplifies all the darker emotions which means that you really have to be in control of those emotions to handle them. We have seen Rumple control the curse rather than the curse controlling him (Season 1-3) So would you consider him evil seasons 1-3? I would have a hard time with that. I think Rumple can be evil and that evil is amplified by the dark one curse and his need for power but that the evilness probably developed because of the environmental factors. Rumple says this himself during Season 5 epiosde 16 when he is talking with Belle, He says he has always craved power even before he was the dark one. It is the question of the chicken or the egg with Rumple is he evil because he is the dark one or because of all the factors that led up to him becoming the dark one.
AKA
Participantdoes this also mean that Rumple was always fated to be the Dark One, seeing as she literally birthed him?
That actually makes a lot of sense. I have been thinking that ever since I found out that the dark fairy was his mom. It can’t be that much of a coincidence that Zoso picked the son of the black fairy to be the next dark one. Maybe he was fated to be the dark one from the very start.
