ParticipantI originally assumed the name “Rittenhouse” was just a coincidence but after the final scene of the Bonnie and Clyde episode, I think it must refer to David Rittenhouse (1732-1796), one of the first and most prominent American astronomers. He was famous for being the first American to build orreries and precise clocks – just like the clock we saw Flynn access in the final scene! Rittenhouse built orreries for the College of New Jersey (now Princeton University) and the College of Philadelphia (now the University of Pennsylvania.) Here is a photo of the Rittenhouse orrery at UPenn:
Great call, I always think it is fun when someone is exactly right.
don’t like that they are changing the timeline and pretending it wouldn’t have catastrophic effects. It just doesn’t really make sense as a premise and nothing is happening
This is what is most frustrating to me also. Sorry but if you change one little thing it should change a slew of other things.
I think the show wants us to care about the romance between Wyatt and Lucy while I don’t care. I care more about Flynn who is doing all this to get his wife and child back. He is by far the most complex character and therefore the most interesting. It would be even better if we got some flashbacks about these characters’ lives with their loved ones so we could feel invested in their lives. At this point I am just hoping that Flynn’s wife is actually Lucy and he somehow changed history enough to get her back alive but not enough for her to remember their lives together or their daughter. I know this has huge plot problems but other than that I am not really invested in any of the character’s past lives so I am just watching because I enjoy the history part of it.

ParticipantALTHOUGH my hubby says Wyatt is a terrible soldier always missing when he shoots his gun.
That is funny because that is exactly what my husband says also. Wow how can he continually miss his shots and at close range, he must be a terrible shot.
I do enjoy the show but wish they would play with the domino effect more, I mean changing a piece of history should change multiple other things. Like if Flynn saves his brother that should effect Flynn’s life maybe even his birth, they don’t explore any of that they just give us oh this minor thing in history changed and that is all.

Participant1) What was your favorite episode of S6A? Runner up?
Favorite Episode: A Strange Case. Loved the Jekyll and Hyde story line and all the surprises that came with it. I would have loved to see more of Mr. Hyde I think Once killed him off way too soon.
Runner Up: Heartless, it was great to get back to the roots of the show and revisit Snow and Charmings true love story in a new way and the twist at the end was GREAT
2) What was your least favorite episode of S6A? Runner up?
Least Favorite: Changelings, really hate what the show did to Rumbelle and just saying well now they have something to bring them back together does not change all the damage they both did to each other this arch. It was horrible and really sad to watch, hated it.
Runner Up: Street Rats: still don’t care about Jasmine and Aladdin or there story line. This episode was completely boring
3) We had a lot of new characters crop up this year. Who was your favorite and who was your least favorite?
Favorite: without a doubt Hyde. Least Favorite: Baby Morpheus or Aladdin
4) What storyline fascinated you the most? And which one frustrated you the most?
Fascinated: I loved all the untold stories and the classic literature piece. We somehow just dropped that after Hyde died which is a shame I was really looking forward to more stories and how they interconnected with our main characters.
Frustrated: Rumbelle. The writers actually destroyed a beautiful love story and made it into a complete and utter mess, really badly done.
What do you hope to see more of in S6B?
Well they definitely have a lot of loose ends to clean up, I hope they clean them up and answer all the unanswered questions. I also hope they don’t answer these questions in an easy and pointless way; give us some in depth character growth and analysis while answering these questions
Final grade and thoughts on S6A?
I give the season a C+ it had a lot of potential but some of the stories (Aladdin) fell flat and other story lines were completely ridiculous and unnecessary (Golden Queen) and others were just horrible done (Rumbelle)

ParticipantOutside of Nealfire, a lot of things don’t add up once we accept and remember that this world is REAL (Adam and Eddy said so!). Like, are there now two versions of everyone except Emma (and Snowing, RIP)? Why is Robin that age? Why isn’t Granny dead? Where’s Zelena? Where’s the WishWorld!Evil Queen? Why is Rumple locked up if Bae made it back to the EF? How did Nealfire die? Where’s Belle–did she ever meet Rumple?
Great questions. I am assuming this is Emma’s wish world, correct? So maybe she gets to decide how everything works? If that is the case her wish world consists of Bae being dead as a hero and her raising Henry by herself? That does not seem like a great wish does it? Although it would explain the absence of anyone who she does not feel is important or does not want to deal with, Zelena, Evil Queen, Belle. I am still trying to wrap my brain around this, and can’t seem to.

ParticipantBelle was still asleep when she went to dream world, her subconscious traveled. But Emma and Regina–their very bodies and beings–traveled to this AU.
Not every time, unless she was able to sleep during labor, but I guess her subconscious did travel so maybe Belle was daydreaming? I don’t know, a dream world is the only way to make it make sense.
AKA
ParticipantGood questions. I think they will need to still play out the scene. The question is how Emma and Regina end up getting back from the dream world now that they wasted the magic bean. Maybe the stabbing scene happens in the dream world? I have no idea why Gideon wants to kill Emma unless he is the villain to Emma’s savior now that Regina is no longer a villain? Maybe the Dark Fairy wants to maintain the balance between good and evil?
AKA
Participantwas she turned into a Agrabah Viper? I certainly hope they don’t leave her as a snake, she needs to be reintegrated with Regina
AKA
ParticipantThis confused me also. I have several questions: Was the Morpheus dream child the adult “dark” version of Gideon? Why else would he encourage Belle to send him off with the fairies? Did Rumple say she was a dark shadow? So maybe she is the original shadow from Neverland and that is where she met Malcolm. Malcolm went to Neverland because he use to visit it in his dreams. What does the Dark Fairy do with the children and why does she steal them in the first place? What is her ultimate goal for Gideon? Does she just want him because he is her grandson? I still think she and Blue might be the same person, which would make sense of why Blue gave Bae the bean. Maybe she originally thought Bae would work for whatever plan she had but since he was not conceived while Rumple was dark one he wouldn’t work ? Hopefully they will answer all the questions and more.

ParticipantI did not hate this episode which is good because the last few I have. I give it a 8/10
Liked:
David actually had a independent role in the episode. I was actually really impressed that he was able to out maneuver the EQ and get the lamp, of course his wish was beyond naive. David be specific!
I liked the AU world, and I know it does not make sense, but I am going to assume that it is like a dream world so it does not have to make sense. So if we assume this is Emma’s dream world that means Bae was in her dream and Hook was not, I like that.
Loved Rumple and Regina scenes in the dream world, very season 1 feels. Actually I loved all the throw backs to season 1 they were great.
I am not a huge Regina/Robin fan, but I loved seeing him again and I was really happy for Regina she totally deserves love
Dark Fairy is going to be the next big bad
Did Gideon turn EQ into an Agrabah Viper? If so, maybe Gideon is Jafar in disguise
Rumple taking off the cuff, and telling Belle that this is no longer about them but about the safety of their son. That is the Rumple we know and love
Loved that Regina wakes Emma up because she won’t hurt Henry and is willing to die instead of harming him. This is what the show is supposed to be about, Family.
Mixed:
David’s wish, wow dude you can wish for anything and that is what you come up with
Still don’t care about Jasmine and Aladdin but maybe I no longer have to as they poofed away to Agrabah. I wonder if we will see them again
I am confused about Gideon/Morpheus or whoever he is. So are we saying he becomes evil because he was taken to an evil place and sped up his childhood and raised by the dark fairy? Is this what she does with all the children. Did anyone catch that Rumple stated that she was a dark shadow (is she the original shadow of Neverland?)
Disliked:
So is that the end of the EQ? If that is how they end it, I will be very upset. They need to reintegrate her with Regina and Regina needs to accept all parts of herself anything else is a cop out

ParticipantAnd you know what, I will probably enjoy it in the moment as my emotions soar with the scene unfolding in front of me, with the sound-track, with the writing (if it is Jane Espenson ), and/or with the acting (mainly from Bobby Carlyle, but both). But there will probably be a very unpleasant after-taste, as I reflect and think-on, and feel-on, on what we are suppose to swallow, when viewed as a whole.
Sadly, I will be right along with you and with the bitter after taste afterwards.
