ParticipantI think in the series finale, Baelfire will tell Belle to kiss Rumpel, thus breaking his father’s curse. π Baelfire’s goal was to find a way to break to his father’s curse without killing him. This is the perfect solution to that. We’ve already seen that Belle’s kiss has the power to break Rumpel’s curse in “Skin Deep.” So, I wouldn’t be surprised if Baelfire ends up playing matchmaker and asks Belle to kiss his father.

I was disappointed that part 2 of the podcast did not discuss the scene where Belle reunited with Gold in his shop because I would have loved to hear their opinions on it. I decided to make a forum to let out some of my emotions on this intense moment and the dislike of the forest scene.
A lot of people are saying how the forest scene they shared illustrated how power hungry Rumple is and that he didnβt seem that concerned for Belle because he didnβt even bother to walk beside her. Thus, people think Rumpel does not deserve Belle. However, the first scene where they meet, you could see Gold’s heart shatter. Nearly sobbing, and wrapping his arms tightly around Belle, he promises to protect her. This is huge. He obviously cares deeply about Belle, especially because he let down his guard and told her he loves her. Not only that, but he seems to be figuring out how to put her into his centuries old plan as he rushes with her through the forest to complete it. Yes he was eager to get it down ,but at the same time would not let her out of his sight. (Notice at the very end he has his arm around her shoulder ;)). Also, by Gold saying “she did this to you” indicates he’ll be seeking revenge in the future. There will be more tension between Rumpel and Regina than ever thanks to Jefferson because he is munipulating Rumpel to do what he can’t (kill Regina)
Hopefully next season Belle and Rumpel will have the time to talk about a plan for the future. It is clear from Skin Deep Belle does not want to be a damsel in distress. So I’m sure she will not just play some pawn in Rumpels agenda. Like she said before in Skin Deep “There arenβt a lot of opportunities in this land to show what women can do. To be heroes” I really liked what obisgirl said about how Belle will act as Rumpel’s consonance. I heard that the first episode will be Rumpel centric with flashbacks of him.
GAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!! I TOTALLY CALLED IT!!! The first episode will be Rumpel-centric! π π π And it makes sense. The season finale left off on Rumpel, so it should naturally pick back up with Rumpel. π
I agree with everything you said, Lissy. Their reunion was heartbreaking. Mr. Gold’s face and tears spoke volumes.

[Belle] is a very moral person who is opposed to the dark magic and believes that love is greater than power. Will she be able to convince Rumpel to give up his power?
I’m not so sure that it’s love that Belle feels for Rumpel. It seems more like Stockholm syndrome to me. Even if she’s too good a person to hate Rumpel for imprisoning her in his dungeon, even if she’s able to forgive him, she seems to be missing a healthy amount of caution.
On the other hand, if it is true love that Belle and Rumpel feel for each other, that could end badly if Rumpel casts a spell that needs a special ingredient of a kind we’ve seen used before.

We know that Jefferson is a man of magic who is also a time-traveler. He has a magic hat that allows him to go to different realms.
Jefferson really, really should have been Storybrooke’s taxi driver.
I seriously doubt that. Rumpel had a chance to sacrifice Belle, and he didn’t. In fact, in “Skin Deep,” Rumpel sent her away TWICE. So, he had zero intention of sacrificing her. That’s why he needed Regina to do it. He wasn’t willing to sacrifice any of he loved ones, but Regina was.
