ParticipantI also think that Rumpel brought magic into Storybrooke so that he could rage war against Regina. He’s going to be out for blood now that he knows about what happened to Belle. But Regina seemed to be a little too pleased when she saw the purple smoke. Hmm…

ParticipantWow. She’s actually back. I’m not even sure what to say right now. I’m just that happy! 😆
Judging by the way the episode ended, I think Belle is here to stay. Couple that with the fact that Emilie de Raven’s show wasn’t picked up, I think we’re going to be seeing plenty of Belle in season 2. 😉

Ok, due to the craziness that was the season finale. I’ve decided to post a few new study questions.
1. Who has more power? Rumpel, Evil Queen or Emma?
2. Has Mr. Gold forgotten about Baelfire?
3. How will magic effect Storybrooke?
4. How will Belle react to Mr. Gold returning to his old Dark One persona?
5. What is Mr. Gold’s end game?
6. Now that the curse is broken, is Emma still the savior? Is she still a threat?
7. Who will the main battle be between? Who are the main players?
8. How will Baelfire play into this?1. Right now, I think Mr. Gold is the most powerful person in Storybrooke. But Emma is a close second. I definitely see her making a strong comeback by the end of season 2. The same goes for Regina.
2. Definitely not. He created the Dark Curse so that he could be reunited with him again. He sacrificed one world for another just to be with him again. There’s no way in hell he forgot about Baelfire.
3. I have no idea. 😆
4. I’m pretty sure she’s going to have the same reaction as she did in Fairytale land. She’ll try to convince him to slowly give up his powers. But it will definitely be a struggle. But in the end, it will work out. Belle is the only person who can break Rumpel’s curse. She’s the onnly one who can relinquish him from its evil. So, her role isn’t over just yet.
5. NO IDEA! 😆
6. NO IDEA! 😆
7. There seems to be many different battle being raged at the same time. All with various different players. Rumpel, Regina, Emma, the Blue Fairy. And then of course, there’s the missing link: Baelfire. He’s going to be the one to bring this all full circle. 😉
8. As I stated before, Baelfire is going to be the key to seeing how this all plays out. The curse began with him. The curse is about him. So, his reappearance (or possible death) will have a huge impact on the show as whole. Without him, the curse would not have existed.

ParticipantNo, I still love Mr. Gold. But that’s mainly because I loved him when he was evil, and I loved him when he was good, and I love him when he’s in between. I just love him. 😆
But I do have a soft sport for villains and anti-heroes. They tend to be the most interesting characters on the show. That’s why I love Mr. Gold and Regina so much. 😉

ParticipantI LOVED their reunion. I almost squealed when Mr. Gold placed his hand on Belle’s shoulder just to see if she was real. 😥 I’m actually surprised by the number of scenes they got in last night’s episode. I thought we would only get 1 small reunion scene, but we got so much more. 😀
I’m pretty sure Belle is going to be heavily featured in season 2 as well. The show ended on Belle standing next to Mr. Gold’s side. So, it kind of hinted that Belle will be living with Mr. Gold at the start of season 2. Especially given the fact that Jefferson told her to find Mr. Gold so that he could protect her, and the only way to do that effectively is for her to live with him. But seeing how happy Belle was to see Mr. Gold when she got her memories back, I don’t think she’ll be complaining too much.
But I do have some concerns about Mr. Gold and his quest for magic and power. I’m still not clear on why he released magic into Storybrooke. Like others have said, it wouldn’t matter either way. If they all would have returned to Fairytale land, then he still would have regained his powers, so the end result would still be the same. But I’m still not sure why he did it though. I don’t believe that Mr. Gold is only out for power. He created the curse to find Baelfire. He was ready to give up his power when he was talking to August in the woods. So, why would he all of a sudden do a complete 180 and then seek magic out?
So, once again, Mr. Gold’s true intentions are unclear. But that’s why I love him. 😀

I’m with you Midnight Dreary, I think that’s his whole focus. I don’t think he gives a fig what the townspeople think of him. All he’s interested in is his son. Which makes you wonder, depending how the finale works out and if he finds out about Belle, how will that effect his plans?
Well, it dependes. What exactly do you mean by that? I don’t think Belle will hinder Mr. Gold’s search for Baelfire. I’ve heard that argument before, and personally, it confuses me. 🙁 Can you elaborate please? 😀

Great theory! It would explain why Rumpel was left out of the book. And I aslo think it would be quite sweet if Belle left his story out to protect him. 😀
I’m hoping that the writers’ statements about Belle playing a very important role in the finale is a clue to her possibly being the author of the book. Or maybe they’re just hinting at her finally be rescued. Who knows? But I like the theory nonetheless. The way the show left off on Belle’s story was very “to be continued…” They made it seem as if her story would be coming back in full force later on in the season.
It would also help explian why Belle was still running around free after she left Rumpel. I’m almost beginning to think that Regina captured her after the curse took effect.
I’ve always wondered why Rumpel’s story was mysteriously missing from the book. Henry’s been able to pin-point every single fairytale character, but for some reason, he can’t figure out who Mr. Gold is. We’ve never seen any photos or mention of Rumpel in the book. Henry has never even spoken the name “Rumpelstiltskin.” I find that odd. He was able to figure out that Dr. Hopper was a cricket and that Ruby is a wolf, but he can’t figure out who Mr. Gold is? If Henry is so concerned with breaking the curse, you’d think he’s focus his energies on defeating Regina AND Mr. Gold. So, I’m pretty sure Rumpel is not in the book.
I fact, I think that’s going to be one of the big twists in the finale. Emma and Henry are going to try to break the curse, but since they have no knolwedge of the curse’s creator, they’re going to be terribly lost. The running thread in all of these stories is Rumpel. When you take him out of the equation, it all falls apart. He created the curse, he was at Cora’s origins and presumably Regina’s, he placed Charming in power, he gave Snow the forgetting potion, he help the Evil Queen enact the Dark Curse, he made sure that Emma would be the savior. He pushed all of these storylines forward, and without any knowledge of him, then the story doesn’t make sense. That’s why I think either he or someone connected to him wrote the book. His absence just seems to be very intentional.
And if the Blue Fairy did write it, then she did a rather shoddy job at it. She left out the man that started this whole story in the first place: Rumpel. She knew that Rumpel was planning to enact the curse, so why did she leave him out? It doesn’t make any sense.

ParticipantI REALLY like this theory!
I’ve been racking my brains trying to figure out who wrote Henry’s book. This is the first theory that actually sounds plausible.

ParticipantI also used to love Snow and Charming, but Mary Margaret and David kind of killed it for me. 🙁 And right around the time my interest in Snow and Charming began to wane, Belle and Rumpel stepped up on the main stage. So, I had to switch sides. 😀
I know. I’m fickle. 😆
