Yes, I am curious how they explain that RumBelle flashback in 311…Belle clearly knows who Rumple is memorializing. She asks how old he was. If she didn’t know, she wouldn’t be that specific. And we know she didn’t have any idea about a son until right before Rumple let her go.

I think the problem is that often times things aren’t reading as well to the audience as the writers think they are. It’s like how when you try to edit your own work, you frequently miss your own careless mistakes because your mind sees what you intended and not what is actually there.
To me, it felt weird because the Tink and Hook scene came across as if Tink had been living there for years and Hook is just now arriving- obviously not the case since Hook arrives many years before Tink lost her wings.
So what Adam is telling me is that Tink established herself on the island with Pan and the Lost boys and did not encounter Hook or hear of him at all until this moment. Seems a bit farfetched, but oh well.
angiebelleParticipantStorybrooke vanished as if it never existed, but it did in fact exist. Everything that happened still happened so we aren’t going to see anyone return from the dead.
I don’t, however, believe Rumple is dead. I think the fact that he sacrificed himself for those he loves will play a role in it.
angiebelleParticipantI don’t know if they actually did the deed in “The Crocodile” but they were definitely sharing a bed. Belle woke up and immediately looked next to her expecting to see him. There was an indent in the pillow in his spot. That was a master bed, not a guest bed, and the same one we see Rumple wake up in at the beginning of “Lacey.” He got dressed because he woke up early and didn’t intend to go back to bed.
But yeah, they totally did it in “The New Neverland!” 🙂
angiebelleParticipantI think when Belle came to the shop at the beginning out the Outsider, that was the still the same day as we see in the rest of the episode- it was just really early in the morning and it hadn’t gotten light out yet.
angiebelleParticipantBelle switches back and forth! First she is wearing the grey and black skirt and top with the bright orange jacket. Then we see her in the pink hat with the blazer and the blue sweater that she wears to the town line. The next time we see her, she’s *back* in the grey outfit only with an olive green jacket this time. It’s rather confusing as none of the others appear to have changed clothes.
angiebelleParticipantI was just thinking how for some reason CaptainSwan rubs me the wrong way. I almost feel bad for saying it- I have Oncer friends who ship them very much and play them up as this major romantic love story that I just don’t see. Yes, sometimes I can see their point, and I have to admit that Hook and Emma have chemistry. I didn’t care for Hook much at all last season, and this season he has grown on me a lot, but I still don’t want him with Emma. You know, I think what it is for me is that I saw Neal as Emma’s true love from the beginning. It’s very poetic- daughter of Snow White in love with the son of the Dark One. So when Hook was introduced as another love interest, I saw him as an obstacle- almost as jarring to me as if someone came between Snowing or RumBelle. So even though I’m trying to keep myself open to the idea that CaptainSwan could happen, I’m having trouble being comfortable with it and so far cannot bring myself to read any CaptainSwan fanfic.
angiebelleParticipantThat’s been my wish for the whole series since last year…more slice of life and less putting the characters under the constant threat of danger. They did do really well at getting those great character moments in Neverland though. I’m not sure they will ever let the characters just live for a bit! I’m very curious what happened during this time jump! Has Belle been without Rumple this whole time?
I agree in that I prefer to see RumBelle together, and I understand about the separations being frustrating. (Although I have to admit, I love seeing them fight for each other.) I really need the 2nd half of the series, and I hope Belle doesn’t have to go on too long believing Rumple is dead. I would almost bet money that he is not.
angiebelleParticipantPretty sure this scene is just a continuity error since Belle clearly knows who Rumple is mourning here even though she doesn’t actually address the issue until right before he lets her go. In SD, she asks if there was a son. I got the impression this is the first time she’s said anything to Rumple about the subject. If she didn’t know during the scene in “Going Home,” she wouldn’t say “How old was he?” she’d said, “Who are you mourning?” Why would she assume he was mourning a young boy? It also makes the conversation about the small clothes not make sense if she already knew about him. It felt as if this scene was intended to be a follow up to the other conversation. If it was intended to be an earlier moment, her reaction to the candles and the shawl should have been slightly different.
As for Rumple’s attitude here, it felt perfectly in character to me. He may have loved Belle, but he wasn’t acting outwardly loving towards her during SD. He was in denial. It makes sense for him to be gruff with her at this point. He wasn’t willing to open up to her yet.
angiebelleParticipantOh dear…just accidentally came across some forum posts on another site that were picking apart RumBelle and saying Belle was delusional and that Emilie isn’t very good. 🙁 I need to be with RumBelle fans again..
