I don’t think they were retconning at all. It wouldn’t make sense when the fact that he had a curse personality was a major plot point last season. I think Cursed!Gold just has a similar relationship to Regina as Rumple. He can still be goading her and enjoying it without being fully aware of what’s going on.

The songs are not by Menken- they were written by the composers of Book of Mormon and Avenue Q, so they have a whole different flavor than the songs from Tangled.
I still think these pics have something to do with a new curse which may or may not affect their memories. I think that makes the most sense. The aren’t just randomly back in FTL because everyone has returned to their original form- the clothes, Snow’s long hair, the dwarfs, etc. Emma isn’t there…I think she is going to have to do something to restore order. I’m not interested in seeing an AU “what if” situation because that could halt the whole present day story while it plays out. However, I trust the writers- often theories I’m totally against end up being right, but I’m able to warm up to them by the time they air.
lol, okay, okay- I guess I just haven’t watched much sci fi or read many comic books! Still not entirely convinced OuaT would go that route, but I’ll never say never!

Grey’s Anatomy has done it. I believe Supernatural has done it. LOST made us believe they were doing it.
Ah, well- I never watched any of those shows. It sounds a bit complicated to me. But we’ll see what happens!
