ParticipantIt’s been indicated that Rumple and Pan were great enemies in the past…I just can’t imagine that being the case in his pre-Dark One days. I will be surprised if their relationship goes as far back as Rumple’s own childhood. Not impossible, certainly, but I’m not convinced at this point. I think that would be overkill on the back story and would introduce an unnecessary new concept at a time when we have enough going on as it is- it would feel out of the blue. I think the doll is related to Bae and the crying was that of a grieving parent.

ParticipantAh ha! I TOLD you someone got it!
Oh- and I was wrong! He doesn’t say how many lost boys he takes with him- he says how many of you.

ParticipantWow- great stuff! Now we finally know what happened to George!
Loved the Good Morning, Storybrooke and Girl Power featurettes! I have pre-ordered my copy, but it hasn’t come yet. Can’t wait to hear the commentaries!

ParticipantIt might take a while to get a full recap up, so here are some more tidbits to tide you over:
I took a brief video inside the ship:
And here are the character pics (unfortunately, I got them the day I was dressed as Vanellope instead of Belle!):

ParticipantHaving seen the clip, the idea that Rumple had been a lost boy himself didn’t even occur to me until someone else brought it up! When Rumple broke down in tears over the doll, I immediately assumed it had opened a fresh wound of the pain of loosing Bae. I don’t think Rumple was in NL as a child…I’m guessing he ended up there as the Dark One in an effort to get Baelfire back. I think he must have known he was there at some point. Maybe Bae *made* the doll while he was in Neverland if he didn’t have it on him. I just have a feeling it is connected to him. Here’s a thought- perhaps Rumple came to NL and then Baelfire found a way to escape and ended up in our world- we haven’t heard that story yet. Conversations in past episodes definitely suggest Rumple knew something of Bae’s whereabouts after he fell through the portal at some point.
Another reason I think it’s more likely that the doll has to do with Bae and not Rumple’s childhood is that it fits better with the story they are trying to tell rather than introduce a whole new backstory not directly related to the current situation. At any rate, even if he was there as a child, he had to have also been there as an adult after he became the Dark One since Felix refers to him as the Dark One. Also, if Pan and Rumple were enemies, I can’t imagine events leading to that happening when Rumple was just a kid.
However, as I always say, I have been wrong before!

ParticipantI can tell you that while some presentations were very explicit about having cameras and phones off- nothing was said on the subject when we went to the OuaT panel. I definitely saw cameras going at least during the panel- not sure about the clip itself, but I did not hear any announcements that we couldn’t or anyone being told to turn off their camera.
I bet the clip will be up within the next few weeks- either officially or unofficially. The sneak of The Miller’s Daughter that they showed at Paleyfest was up on the ABC site pretty quickly!
Most of the panel was reintegrating what we already knew from Comic Con and other interviews, although there were a few new nuggets of info.
Oh- we also saw the 19 minute Wonderland preview…looks intriguing! Can’t wait!

ParticipantNo, I’m pretty sure he said lost boys.
Hey guys- keep in mind that there is still one of day of D23 so people may not be home yet to post video- give it a couple days 🙂 Sorry, I didn’t get the clip myself- was watching so intently, I didn’t even think to get a screenshot. But it is only a matter of time before it’s up!

ParticipantThe new clip was just wonderful- Rumple was like a cross between his old self and Mr. Gold. I am really curious about that doll- didn’t make the connection that Rumple was once a lost boy. I thought it had something to do with Bae, that maybe he somehow knew that Bae had been there. But who knows? The doll was a little figure made of bound straw wearing a blue jacket. For the record, Felix refers to Rumple as The Dark One.

ParticipantOh that one with Neal and Henry is AWESOME! I really wish they’d kept it.

ParticipantI have to say I am really loving all these titles- probably because I’ve always loved tales of Neverland. 🙂
