ParticipantYes, it looks like it isn’t so much something Henry does that leads to Rumple’s “undoing” but rather his decision to go rescue Henry that does. I agree that it likely has something to do with Peter Pan. I’m very curious about Rumple’s history with him. We are supposed to learn that story pretty quickly in the 3rd season. I love your idea, Phee- that he goes into battle expecting to die and is shocked to learn he is saved instead. I do think at some point in the series, he will no longer be the Dark One- I suspect undoing means ending his curse. I’ve read a fan blog which insists that Rumple will have to die in order to be redeemed, but I disagree. I think he might be brought to the brink, but that ultimately, he’ll be brought back a changed man.
The issue with Rumple being immortal and Belle not makes me think of the tv show Bewitched…that discussion came up quite a bit between Darrin and Samantha.

ParticipantLOL, Phee!

ParticipantI think all Eddy meant was that we are going to see the characters take back more of the traits we originally saw them with in FTL…traits that had become a bit muddled in Storybrooke. Everyone is going to want to do everything in his or her power to get Henry back, but the conflict is going to be in that each will have a very different idea on what exactly that is. The Charmings probably won’t like Regina or Rumple’s methods!
I don’t think it’s worth it to get all worked up over how Adam and Eddy word things. In the end, all that really matters is what ends up on the screen.

ParticipantI’m getting really frustrated with people getting up in arms over what Adam says! Everyone is reading way too much into his interviews and Twitter replies…
I want to shout, just watch the show and stop freaking out over speculation about future events! Don’t try to interpret every word he says- you’ll go mad!

ParticipantI think what it comes down to is that every single character on this show is flawed. Everyone has made poor choices at one time or another. They are human! (Or at least human for storybook characters- ha ha.) Every relationship on the show has faced problems, and every established relationship is valid.

ParticipantI want to be craftier than I actually am…but every so often I find my muse. 🙂
I made these chipped cup earrings:
And the other day I decorated a doll room for my American Girl dolls:

ParticipantEee! He is doing musical theater! That’s my home turf. 🙂 And- he’s pretty good too!

ParticipantYes, of course they have baggage to work through- Rumple and Belle don’t exactly have it easy either. That’s what makes them interesting. 🙂 Only Snow and Charming are actually a married couple.
I think *Tamara* was the 2nd choice. Neal didn’t think Emma was an option any longer…he thought she would never forgive him and was trying to move on. Emma was also trying very hard to convince him that she had moved on herself.
You are right, though- I shouldn’t have talked definitively. We don’t know for sure that they would have been back together, although I’d like to think that had Neal not fallen through the portal, they would have tried to make it work.
I don’t really see CS myself…I see a connection between them as kindred spirits, but not a romantic one. I’ll admit though that some of that may be my own bias. I spent most of season 2 not caring for Hook’s character at all. He has only just started to grow on me in the season finale when we saw him finally take a step in the right direction towards being empathetic. If we continue to see that side of him, I’ll be far more open to a CS relationship. I’m not thrilled with the idea, but if the show decides to take that direction, I’ll go along for the ride.
(See, everyone? It IS entirely possible to have a discussion on opposing ships without attacking each other and being disrespectful!)

ParticipantI have to admit that I’m genuinely confused as to why some of you don’t consider Swanfire to be one of the main relationships. They were both in denial the entire time Neal was back in the picture, and they each declared love for the other right before Neal fell through the portal. They are still in love. The only reason they aren’t still together at this point is because Emma thinks Neal is dead. I don’t mean to offend CSers- only expressing that I’m truly surprised.
In my mind, Snowing, RumBelle, and Swanfire are the 3 main romantic relationships that the show focuses on….although I do have a feeling we are heading into a Captain-Swan-Fire triangle in season 3 based on what A&E have said. Whether or not Swanfire end up together in the longrun, though, their relationship is still a big part of the overall story arc of the series.

ParticipantI don’t find OuaT hard to follow at all, but maybe that’s because I’m very familiar with the fairytale stories it features. My parents watch the show too, and I’m having to constantly explain things to them…especially mom who didn’t watch the first season- she just had us fill her in. I keep telling her to go back and watch it, but she doesn’t want to. 🙄
One time I was saying something to her about Neal, and she said “Who’s Neal? Remember, I didn’t see the first season,” and I was like “Uhh…mom…Neal was introduced in the 2nd season….”
