ParticipantThey have confirmed via Twitter as well as the recent panel that SB is still going to be important to the story and they are not abandoning it. Any articles insisting otherwise are just rumors.

ParticipantI don’t think it is a plot hole either. I think Blue really believed the beans were gone.
So many story locations for season 3- how will they balance them all?!
angiebelle
ParticipantAh! I was wondering if someone was going to bring that up!

We’ll see….. the burger date at least lasted a couple of minutes; the picnic was pathetic at maybe 1 second, lol. I did enjoy the entire scene, though: the way Belle came to his defense after those Charmings accused him of murder (good job, with no proof at all), the way she looked at him as he patted Pongo, the way he talked to her as if she was the only one in the room.
I hope you’re right about S3, but I do honestly think the interrupted dates or moments in S2 were designed to frustrate fans and Rumbelle.
I really doubt they being vindictive and seeking to frustrate us on purpose. Writing doesn’t work that way. Why antagonize your audience intentionally? They are simply telling the story the way they want to tell it. In film and tv, you have a very short time to get a message across.

ParticipantYes, Charming is the one who understands about Belle the most. He left realizing Rumple needed a moment alone with her.
TV shows have to be really tight in their storytelling. They don’t have time for pure fluff that doesn’t move the story forward. Everything has to have a purpose. I would rather the interrupted dates than not see them together at all. It’s just enough to give us the idea.

ParticipantI see a lot of complaints about the inturrupted dates, but I think that was just their way to show us that they were together without taking time out from the central storyline.

ParticipantWendy just said it felt like a lot longer when she was in Neverland- we don’t have an exact time ratio yet…only that time is likely slower there. Guess we will have to wait and see! Also, one episode to another = one day isn’t always true…frequently was in the 2nd season but a lot more time passed in the 1st.
Re: the Charmings- they have a long history with Rumple. I’m not sure they quite see him as human. They haven’t really seen the full extent of his relationship with Belle so they probably don’t understand it. I don’t think we are going to see a lot of any couple just having alone happy romantic time- as much as it would be nice to see, it would bring the story to a standstill, and with the way they tell the stories, there just isn’t time for that. Hopefully, we will at least get moments here and there. It’s been nice that they finally stopped separating Snow and Charming for a while!

ParticipantThere is one! But sometimes the topic comes up on other threads. If you don’t like it, you are always welcome to change the subject.

ParticipantI didn’t have any problems understanding why Rumple told Belle to stay- he believes he is going to his death and doesn’t want Belle to see that.
I think we saw lots of beautiful romantic moments between them in S2. Maybe not as much as we RumBellers would have liked, but it was definitely there.
I do wish there were more Belle adjusting to our world moments. That would have been so fun! Unfortunately, season 2 was so drama focused, the smaller lighthearted moments were glazed over- for every character.
