It didn’t bother me that much with Graham- I was able to take his death…and really he is the only major death they’ve done. All the other deaths have been of minor side characters or ones we knew were doomed in advance or fake outs like with Archie and Katherine. I just really don’t want to see anything happen to the Charmings, Rumple, or Regina. (Or Belle since she is my favorite fairytale character of all time.) I want to believe they are safe. They are too important to the core story of the show.
I saw the connection immediately! Anton and Arlo have almost the exact conversation about humans that Ariel has with her father.
Triton: Contact between the human world and the mer-world is strictly forbidden. Ariel, you know that! Everyone knows that!
Ariel: He would have died-
Triton: One less human to worry about!
Ariel: You don’t even know him.
Triton: Know him? I don’t have to know him. They’re all the same. Spineless, savage, harpooning, fish-eaters, incapable of any feeling-
Ariel: Daddy, I love him!
Triton: No . . . Have you lost your senses completely? He’s a human, you’re a mermaid!
Ariel: I don’t care.
Wow…I’ve never seen an episode get so much spoiler coverage among people who have already seen the ep. I hope I don’t figure *everything* out in advance! I really don’t have the patience to avoid spoilers…
It looks to be a safe bet that the ominous ending to the episode has something to do with Henry….
Yeah, I was nervous when I read grim fate…but I think killing off Rumple would be suicide. But supposedly this prophecy is a real shocker.
August as a young boy again? Curious! I think it could be a really cool way to wrap up August’s story.
Don’t discount them just yet based on a few pics- the episode hasn’t aired yet. We don’t know how it’s going to play out. It might end up being very clever. At least give them a chance rather than make a judgement call based on speculation.
Frankly, I trust the writers and will go along with the journey even if I disagree with the direction. I’ve never understood the concept of no longer watching a series you’ve followed and enjoyed since the beginning just because you disagree with the writers…that’s like quitting a book before you’ve reached the ending. But to each his own.
