I don’t know if I believe it or not right now… ๐ฏ
When you sent me the link, I freaked out thinking there were finally shots of MRJ on set. So it was kind of a bummer to see it was just someone claiming to see Henry’s dad (how would they even know that was his identity by seeing him? Did he have a custom made t-shirt reading I’m Henry’s Dad?)
Or did some lucky persons in the world actually get to witness the filming of Emma confronting Henry’s dad? ๐ฎAlso, Sarah here didn’t actually see it/him. This is coming out as a secondary source.
lol, I think I did get a tad bit excited, but after reading through her Tumblr, I think she’s a reliable source for spoilers. Of course, it doesn’t mean that someone didn’t give her false information, but I think she knows this person well enough to trust him/her to post such a huge spoiler.
I’m really starting to become the Bummer Fairy!
I don’t blame you though because of how many times that we’ve been burned on a character being cast that looks like an older Bae would look like.
‘Tis true, we have no idea how reliable the info is, but I suppose there must have been something indicative of a father/son scene between him and Henry or a mother/father scene between him and Emma. Some more info about exactly what was seen would be handy. Maybe there’ll be pics leak out soon, so we can see who was talking to who.
I really hope so. ๐

Love the pics!!! ๐ The one of Charming crouching down in front of Henry, with Snow and Emma in the frame is lovely. And those pics with Dr Whale are gonna keep me up all night, wondering what they mean. ๐
Yes, it is, but the one of Henry staring at the picture of his missing mom and grandma gives me too many sad feelings. ๐ฅ I don’t think I can take Henry being away from his mom and grandma until episode 6.
I’ve given up guessing about Dr. Whale. I just want to be spoiled now. Plus, the actor is having so much fun teasing fans that it actually makes it worth waiting for now.

Given that they’re about to shoot a big Emma ep, would it be safe to assume that the whole thing will be set in our world? They can hardly do FTL flashbacks for her. Though we don’t know where Emma is at this point in the season, I suppose, and with the speculation about her and Snow having gone somewhere, I guess they could potentially still be wherever, and maybe this will be the ep where they come back to SB. Trying to think how the Giant would fit in with either of those scenarios if Jorge will in fact be in this ep. Could he be in real world flashbacks from Emma’s past? Or could he be wherever Emma and Snow are currently, if they’re not back in our world yet? Or maybe he won’t have any interaction with Emma at all, and instead will have scenes with Jack.
I’m not sure. This tweet from Jorge Garcia messes up my theory about Garcia perhaps not being a real giant just someone from our world nicknamed that because of his size.
Had my #OnceAUponTime wardrobe fitting yesterday. Might just be the greatest costume I’ve ever worn.
Maybe he really is a giant then. Maybe MR-J is only Jack then and not Bae and/or Henry’s dad. I still think it’s odd that they’re being so mysterious with his character if he’s not Bae and/or Henry’s dad since I think they would have learned their lesson from the backlash over hyping up the August mystery to ridiculous levels caused if MR-J isn’t Bae and/or Henry’s dad.
And with MRJ also in this one, does that confirm that he’s our Jack? I’d had Jack pegged as Bae and MRJ pegged as Henry’s father, not necessarily being sold on the theory of Bae being Henry’s dad, but now I’m starting to wonder.
I guess it could be that MR-J is only Jack and is basically only there to be Emma’s love interest this year. Ahh, Bae has such a strong connection to magic beans though! ๐ฅ Or he could just be Henry’s dad, but I just think it would be weird if Henry’s dad didn’t turn out to be Bae at this point too because of the hints that the producers have gave, and the fact that I think that only people from Fairy Tale Land or other magical worlds will be allowed to enter Storybrooke because a regular person couldn’t handle it now that magic is back.
It’s ridiculous how a tweet from a cast member’s girlfriend can send my mind racing. ๐ I need the new eps to start airing so I can focus on some actual facts instead of crazy speculation for a change. ๐
I know! Hopefully he’ll post up a picture so we can get more of a clue what kind of giant he really is.

ParticipantThey’ve got her age at 45 – 50 though, and from the character descriptions, I figured maybe Anita will be a mother figure to Quinn after his family casts him out.
I like that idea much better than a love rectangle. I don’t even like the idea of a love triangle, but I think it could happen just based on the character description of Quinn, and the fact that I think they’ve given up on the idea of a triangle between August, Emma, and Bae, if it was in the works which I think it was at one point.
I have a feeling that if Quinn/Merlin is the wizard who helped out Red in FTL, then he’s going to be Ruby’s new love interest in SB. Since Red tragically killed her love, Peter, while in wolf form, I really want her to find happiness with someone good like Merlin.
It would be a nice change of pace if they did that, imo. Not that I want every character paired up by the time the show ends, but since I think that August was suppose to be a love interest for Emma except plans got changed, I don’t want yet another guy to be paired up with Emma or attempted to be paired up with Emma especially if MR-J’s character is going to be. Actually I’d rather they just hold off on romance with her character, if it’s not her true love, until at least next season because she has so much going on this season, that I don’t necessarily think that she has to have a love interest right now if it’s not going to be endgame. Maybe that’s just me though because even though I admit I do watch the show partly for romance, I’d rather have a couple be kept apart through other obstacles than love triangles or other love shapes. Not that those can’t be interesting when done right, but for the most part, unfortunately I don’t think they are done right.
Moreover, I think that Megan Ohry had better chemistry with both Graham and August then Emma did, so I’d rather see Red finally be given a real love interest not just someone that we see in one episode and never really see again. (Not that Jennifer Morrison hasn’t had chemistry with other co-stars, but I just didn’t feel it with her and Graham or her and August. Nothing against her acting or the acting of Jamie Dornan or Eion Bailey, but I think she needs a more dynamic type of actor or character to play against to really shine. This could be part although certainly not all of the reason why SwanQueen is so popular because Jennifer Morrison is acting against a dynamic character and actor. Also, until Belle was introduced, I think that Jennifer Morrison also had chemistry with Robert Carlyle. They still do for me, but it’s just different now.)
Plus, at least on paper, I think that Quinn and Red might have more things in common because if we finally get to see what happened to Red immediately after the events of Red Handed, she probably was shunned because of her magic in a similar, albeit not totally the same way that it sounds like Quinn has been shunned by other people. Also, I would assume that Peter was Red’s true love, but maybe he wasn’t. Or maybe they’ll show this season that even if someone doesn’t have true love, it doesn’t mean that they can’t love someone else, since Snow may have loved Lancelot or not, and Rumple could have loved his first wife.
I have a feeling that the names “Quinn” and “Anita” could be fake names so that actors trying out for the roles don’t necessarily know which characters they’re to portray.
I would definitely put money on it. They do have a history of doing so, but right now I’m at work so I can’t go back and find the other casting calls. If Beaman is Hook, then maybe only the Giant, Jack, and Milha are the only ones that they were straightforward about for this season. The Giant makes sense because I believe Jorge Garcia is suppose to be in only one episode, and it makes sense to play up the fact that he’s going to be on OUaT to try to interest any Lost viewers out there that don’t watch OUaT. We still have no idea who Milha is, and I’m not sure Jack is really only Jack.
wrote:Here’s the tweet that confirms Jarod Joseph (who plays Billy) is set to return to OUaT. In case you’re wondering, Anthony Hemingway is set to direct the episode.Yes, I guess there was a little confusion over which episode he was going to be in, but a poster at FanForum tweeted Jarod Joseph to clear it up, and it’s episode 7.

Quinn could possibly be Merlin (though part of me wants it to be Harry Potter, lol). Perhaps Anita is his mentor. Quinn could possibly be the powerful wizard who gave Red her protective magic cape.
Yes, Merlin is the only wizard that is coming to mind right now. (Unfortunately there’s no way they could get the rights to Harry Potter.)
I think it also likely that he was the one that gave Granny the magic cape for Red because the actor who portrays Billy, Red’s friend/boyfriend(?), is returning for episode 7. Maybe Red becomes too much of a danger in her wolf form, and then we have two characters that are able to do “good” magic who can perhaps make a new cloak for her or find her old one that way she and Granny aren’t forced to make any deals right now with Rumple, Regina, or Hook.
Maybe they can also help Emma, since it seems like she might come back either at the end of episode 5 or in episode 6, with her new found magic. Also, I wonder if Quinn/Merlin is going to be Emma’s love interest/fling this season. I think it’s too early to have Emma start thinking about Bae, even though I think it’s endgame. So I think we’ll see that there’s definitely something still unresolved between them when the first meet again, but she also feels something for Quinn/Merlin while he’s mentoring her.
I think it would make a neat contrast between Quinn/Merlin who wouldn’t think that all magic was bad, and Bae who probably feels the opposite after everything that’s happened to him in his life.
The name Anita originates as a Spanish and Finnish version of โAnaโ meaning โgracious,โ โmercyโ or โfull of grace.โ
I’m guessing Anita is Morgana then. Although I don’t like the idea at all, I guess they could do a possible love rectangle between Quinn/Anita/Emma/Bae.

ParticipantI just read on Television Without Pity that Jorge Garcia’s girlfriend, Bethany Shady, is headed up to Vancouver tomorrow morning.
Here’s her tweet,
Heading to Vancouver tomorrow morn! Fingers crossed that the Pack vs Bears game will air up there so I can watch it on Thursday night!
So he’s appearing in episode six then, and it’s a big episode for Emma, and Michael Raymond-James headed back up to Vancouver on Sunday. Mmm, very interesting developments all around.

Oh my goodness i do not want Henry and Bae to bond without Emma there. That sounds awful.
Really? I don’t like Emma being gone, but I think that it would be easier for them to be able to bond if she’s not around. Plus, if he’s Bae and knows all about the dangers of magic, it would be nice to have someone else to watch over Henry to protect him from Regina since Charming may be occupied with his new Sheriff position at times.
why can’t Bae stay the same age as he was when he left FTL????
I agree that he could, but there are some fans like myself who think Rumple would be having his cake and eating it too since he would not only have Belle, but he would also have Bae turn up with very little or no time lost from when he left FTL. Plus, I don’t think it would create that much drama if Bae arrived in Storybrooke shortly after Rumple let him go into the green vortex. Obviously, he’d be angry, and be upset at what Rumple did, but I don’t think it would be the same kind of anger and bitterness that an adult Bae will have. Finally, there’s already one young male lead on the show, so I think it would be overkill to have two young male leads.
I guess he could turn up to be any age, but based on the theory of him being Henry’s father, the fact that Rumple was so eager to believe that August was Bae, and the casting call for Jack all make me think that Bae will be right around Emma’s and August’s age.

ParticipantPress release about Episode 1, http://www.spoilertv.com/2012/09/once-upon-time-episode-201-broken-press.html
REALITY AND MYTH BEGIN TO MERGE AS THE FAIRYTALE CHARACTERS AWAKEN
FROM EVIL QUEEN REGINA’S BROKEN CURSE, MAGIC IS INTRODUCED TO STORYBROOKE, AND PRINCE PHILLIP AWAKENS HIS SLEEPING BEAUTY, AURORA, BUT DISCOVERS THAT HE AND TRAVELING COMPANION MULAN WILL SOON HAVE TO FACE A DEADLY FOE, ON THE SEASON PREMIERE OF ABC’S “ONCE UPON A TIME”Sarah Bolger (“The Tudors”) Guest Stars as Aurora
Jamie Chung (“Sucker Punch,” “The Hangover Part II”) Guest Stars as Mulan
Master storytellers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz (“Lost,” “Tron: Legacy”) invite everyone to Storybrooke, Maine, a small town that probably won’t show up on one’s GPS… but it’s a place where magic is coming.
In Season One of “Once Upon a Time,” Evil Queen Regina had cast a curse that brought the fairytale characters into our modern world and trapped them in Storybrooke with no memory of their former selves. Here they languished, ageless for 28 years, until Emma Swan stumbled upon them through her son, Henry, whom she had given up for adoption years ealier. Over time Emma came to understand that she herself was the progeny of fairy tale characters – Snow White and Prince Charming – and having begun to see cracks in Regina’s curse and her hold on Storybrooke, set about breaking both.
In the Season Two premiere episode, “Broken,” reality and myth begin to merge as the fairytale characters awaken from Evil Queen Regina’s broken curse and remember who they were. But to their dismay, they aren’t transported back to fairytale land. To make matters worse, Rumplestiltskin – aka Mr. Gold – in an effort to gain the upper hand in his power struggle with Regina, has introduced magic into the town. In fairytales magic has its place, but in our world it can have unfathomable consequences. Meanwhile, back in the fairytale land, Prince Phillip awakens his sleeping beauty, Aurora (Sarah Bolger, “The Tudors”), but discovers that he and his traveling companion, Mulan (Jamie Chung, “Sucker Punch,” “The Hangover Part II”), will soon have to face a deadly foe, on the Season Premiere of “Once Upon a Time,” SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 30 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
“Once Upon a Time” stars Ginnifer Goodwin as Snow White/Mary Margaret, Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan, Lana Parrilla as Evil Queen/Regina, Josh Dallas as Prince Charming/David, Emilie de Ravin as Belle, Jared S. Gilmore as Henry Mills, Meghan Ory as Red Riding Hood/Ruby, and Robert Carlyle as Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold.
Guest starring are Raphael Sbarge as Archie Hopper/Jiminy Cricket, Lee Arenberg as Leroy/Grumpy, David Anders as Dr. Whale, Keegan Connor Tracy as Mother Superior/Blue Fairy, Michael Raymond-Jones as mysterious man, Beverley Elliott as Granny, Sarah Bolger as Aurora, Jamie Chung as Mulan, David-Paul Grove as Doc, Gabe Khouth as Mr. Clark/Sneezy, Faustino Di Bauda as Walter/Sleepy, Jeffrey Kaiser as Dopey, Michael Coleman as Happy, Mig Macario as Bashful and Julian Morris as Prince Phillip.
“Broken” was written by Edward Kitsis & Adam Horowitz and directed by Ralph Hemecker.
“Once Upon a Time” is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC’s selected HDTV format with a 5.1 channel surround sound. A TV parental guideline will be assigned closer to the airdate.
I guess this is confirmation that MR-J is in episode 1. I am still of the belief that the mystery surrounding Dr. Whale has been purposefully hyped and spoiled to cover up a bigger mystery going on with who MR-J is.
He could be the evil foe that attacks Prince Phillip, Aurora, and Mulan, but since he hasn’t been seen with any of those actors filming while Hook and Lancelot have, I don’t think he’s that. I think it’s more likely he’s Jack who they were casting for, but never announced who was going to play the part.

ParticipantIf the above spoiler is accurate, and Michael Raymond-James is really going to be in episode 1, I wonder if Bae entering Storybrooke now that magic is back would cause similar destruction and/or rather dramatic events like when Emma first arrived. Since he’s tied to magic beans, and that big hole in the ground seen in spoiler pictures does seem likely to be a giant beanstalk shooting out of the streets of Storybrooke, maybe his appearance in town caused the beanstalk to burst through the ground.
I think this works to introduce the character in a very spectacular way, but also let the audience in on who the character is right away while keeping it from the other characters on the show who will think that he’s only Henry’s dad. I think the writers may have learned their lesson from what happened with August in that they built up the mystery far too long for the audience on who he really was supposed to be, and then when he turned out to be only Pinocchio, it created a lot of backlash because Gepetto and Pinocchio have never been built up the way that Rumple has from the beginning.
Further, while I’m not really a fan right now of Emma and Snow disappearing so soon, in order for Henry and Bae to bond, it does make it easier for Emma and Snow to be out of the way for that to happen. Plus, Emma isn’t around for Gold to ask her any questions about Henry’s father if he starts to get suspicious about Henry’s dad also being Bae.

ParticipantThank you for posting this. I’ve been waiting since it aired for someone to do it because I’m too lazy to track down a link. ๐
First, I have to say it’s about time that there’s finally a promo with new material in it.
Opinion: When the queen raises her arms, nothing seems to happen? Can we just not see it, or is she about to learn that her new magic is rather faulty?
Yes, I think the first time she does it nothing happens, but later on she’s able to throw that one guy around. I guess her magic will still be wonky though just to keep her from becoming too powerful too soon.
Let’s share favorite moments
The whole thing! ๐
However, I must say that I really loved the medallion that Rumple had. Everyone on my Tumblr has been trying to track down what it means. So far the best guess seems to be from here, http://sixbluemarbles.tumblr.com/post/31254094164/the-symbol-on-the-medal-rumpelstiltskin-is-holding.
It’s the Anglo-Saxon “ear” rune. It’s also known as “Rune of the Grave” which Jacob Grimm interpreted as “death personified”. There’s this poem that the person also posted,
โ แ [ear] is horrible to every knight, / when the corpse quickly begins to cool / and is laid in the bosom of the dark earth. / Prosperity declines, happiness passes away / and covenants are broken.โ
Given this new information, I’m theorizing that the Medallion is probably connected to the dark spirit that is following Mulan, Aurora, and Prince Phillip around. It might also have to do with why Regina is seeing Daniel around town.
