Reviews, theories, and talk about ABC's Once Upon a Time TV show
Mmmm… Do big fans always are part of the filming or the one we see in some of the pics are actually there in anticipation of a True Love´s Kiss?
By the end of 306 Ursula appeared to make a threat: if Regina were to claim to be her again, Ursula will exact revenge on her.
I was wondering… Since Ursula gave all merefolk legs for 12 hours, won´t the fact that Regina is giving Ariel a new bracelet to have legs of her own counts as Regina “claiming” to be Ursula or somehow taking her place?
Let me elaborate, giving mermaids legs is something only Ursula has done, but now Regina is actually surpassing her, giving Ariel total control of her legs. And judging by the way that Ursula acted, being so offended by a mortal claiming to be her, she seems just a little bit petty enough to get pissed off at the fact that this same mortal is giving the same gift she gave to mermaids only way better. I think that is something Ursula could get jealous of, so maybe this could be a way to introduce her as a villain for the second half of the season? And not just any villain. An actual villain that can stand in Regina´s way to have a happy ending with Robin Hood.
A&E follow a pattern. They have a knack to introduce characters in just one episode only for them to play a major role later on. Like Cora back in S1, look at the role she played in S2. Like Maleficent in S1 only to have a significant role in S1´s finale, 20 episodes later after her introduction. Or more recently like Robin Hood in S2, and look at the role he is having in S3 and will have in the second half of S3. Also, Wendy and her brothers in S2 and look at how relevant they will become in the first half of S3.
What I am trying to say is that Ursula seems like the kind of character that could fit into this pattern of “Now-you-see-them-now-you-don´t-and-now-they-are-the-plot-twist”. And finally, let´s face it, it wouldn´t be a satisfying love story for Regina without anyone getting in her way of a happy ending and Ursula certainly can fit the bill, maybe even interfering with Ariel and Eric´s arc.
Any happy thoughts?
