Hey everyone
I am from Istanbul and I am very excited about this. If it is really about Istanbul most probable story would be the one about Maiden’s tower (kız kulesi). It’s one of the most popular legends of Istanbul. For those who don’t know, it is a tower at the southern entrance of the Bosphorus strait 200 m (220 yd) from the coast and the legend is about Sultan’s daughter.Sultan had a much beloved daughter. One day, an oracle prophesied that she would be killed by a venomous snake on her 18th birthday. The sultan, in an effort to thwart his daughter’s early demise by placing her away from land so as to keep her away from any snakes, had the tower built in the middle of the Bosphorus to protect his daughter until her 18th birthday. The princess was placed in the tower, where she was frequently visited only by her father.
On the 18th birthday of the princess, the sultan brought her a basket of exotic sumptuous fruits as a birthday gift, delighted that he was able to prevent the prophecy. Upon reaching into the basket, however, an asp that had been hiding among the fruit bit the young princess and she died in her father’s arms, just as the oracle had predicted. Hence the name Maiden’s Tower. There must be many turkish legends but this is the one that occurs in Istanbul and everybody knows. But who knows what our writers think. It could be anything

Uther also had Arthur with sorcery and King George found his son with Rumple’s help so kind of with magic. But If he is Arthur then where is Merlin?
I read Josh Dallas interview He said that we will see more about Charming’s twin brother, the real James. Maybe he was Arthur.
I really want to see Arthur & Merlin story in OUAT more then just Lancelotashley_2754Participant@myril wrote:
The wolf den had a North-African or maybe Middle Eastern touch, so ashley_2754 that the symbol reminded you of your flag is maybe not a coincidence. It’s a star and crescent, a symbol already used in ancient Near East, in Byzantium it was a symbol of the goddess Hecate, who was connected with the Moon, magic, witchcraft, sorcery, knowledge of herbs and crossroads. Hecate sometimes was shown as dog-shaped or with a (she-) dog (no wolves, but some people can’t tell the difference).
wow I had no idea. Now I can’t wait to see the story behind the symbol.
ashley_2754Participantwell for me it looks like our flag

but I don’t think it has anything to do with the show. Just an observation nothing more.ashley_2754ParticipantIn Season 1 episode 9 when Henry asked Emma if she has anything from his father that she still keeps she said no. So if Neal is Henry’s father well Emma keeps his car and the swan necklace. He might not be the father after all. If he was why would she keep something from him.
