Is it wrong that I want a detailed list from A&E with all the things and places where they foreshadowed Neal’s death? Because I still can’t see it, and I need someone to give me a legit run down of where I missed all these alleged signs. :: sigh ::
I would also like that list
I third the request…

I have remained pretty quiet as of late–which is not like me. But it’s how I want to handle my grief. But I just want to address this point. You are well within your rights to not want to be gloomy and depressing for the rest of the series. That is you personal subjective viewpoint. But the people who are upset by this are also well within their right be so. If they see this as the death of the show, as the end of something they love and held dear, that is THEIR personal subjective viewpoint. And they should be welcome to it, just as you are yours. For the most part (I will not say altogether because I know it is not true) the gloom has been isolated to one thread–the SF thread. The shipping thread rule still stands: if you go into a shipping thread, be prepared not to like what you see. But what they are posting is just how they feel. And no amount of rationalization posts or attempts at getting them to see a different viewpoint, is going to change that. In fact, it’s making them more angry. I’m sure the anger will quiet down but it must play out. People must be allowed to say how they feel right now. And if they are keeping it isolated to one thread (for the most part) then I don’t see why it’s a big deal.
Agree with all of this ^^^

"Because... it was born out of true love."astrawoidParticipantHow can Rumple ever have a happy ending now? *sobs*
He can’t. That’s the simple honest truth. There is no happy ending for Rumple. It doesn’t matter how much he loves Belle and their life together. You don’t return from loosing a child.
That’s true for real life but we know that this show only shows “real life” when it’s convenient for them so I’m almost expecting them to gloss over it now. I mean Neal wanted to die for his father, right, so he should just get over it. Grrr. I’m really trying not to be bitter but I can’t seem to help it right now. Sorry.

"Because... it was born out of true love."astrawoidParticipantUh yeah, that pic of Zelena and Rumple made me want to vomit. But somebody said maybe it was just Zelena sucking out his life essence kind of like in Harry Potter. Maybe she’s sucking out his magic or something? Could that be possible?

"Because... it was born out of true love."astrawoidParticipantThis is from the following interview: http://www.assignmentx.com/2014/exclusive-interview-once-upon-a-time-creators-edward-kitsis-and-adam-horowitz-on-season-3/
HOROWITZ: Yeah, I know, but for me, Neverland had some of my favorite episodes ever. I really loved it. I loved being there, I loved Peter Pan, he was so much fun to write for, and we had the HEART OF DARKNESS vibe that we really dug, and we liked that it was really character-oriented. The second half of the season is going to be different. Whereas Neverland was very dark, this is the Wicked Witch and she’s wicked. And wicked tends to be fun.
Are they kidding me with this?!? Fun??! Fun!!! Fun to kill a major character off the show… I’m just. God, I’m just so over it.

"Because... it was born out of true love."astrawoidParticipant@TheGoldenKey just brought up a good point in another thread about how all of 315 was plot based (nonsense <–my word, not hers) The Dark One’s curse didn’t come from the EF (says Blue in The Return) Why is there a giant vault of goo in the EF then? BECAUSE PLOT Plot devicey, contrived, overwrought, stupid plot #ThisHasBeenAnAngerRant
NO rhyme or reason except that A&E admittedly wanted to change course (see the interview I posted on page 1005). Not only did A&E want to go in a vastly different direction, but they wanted to do so as quickly as possible. It didn’t matter that they were changing their own mythology fundamentally, being inconsistent with plot, or screwing over a beloved character. All that matters is out with the old and on with the new.
So they want a reboot because why? Because the story made sense and had continuity? Because it was so poetic and they don’t like poetry??? I just don’t get it. I’m not a writer or a showrunner, I’m just a viewer so maybe I just don’t understand what was so wrong and bad about the story they were telling. Hmmm.
