"Because... it was born out of true love."Snow’s been getting a lot of hate from the fandom this season in regards to CSF for “pushing” Emma at Neal but Snow only knows the following:
–Emma (by her own declaration) has always and will always love Neal
–Neal was dead and is now alive
–Emma and Hook kissed
–Emma (by her own declaration TWICE) said that the kiss meant nothing but because it had been awhile and she was feeling good.
You put these things together and what conclusion should Snow draw? This isn’t a case of Snow saying that 2+2=5 but rather that she’s making a logical inference based on the information she has at hand.
And Charming is just being DaddyCharming. He just wants her to have moments. He won’t steer her away from Hook and he won’t push her towards Neal but he and Emma have a totally different dynamic. She doesn’t go to him with boy problems like she did with Snow (cause Snow was MM first for Emma and secondly, what girl goes to daddy with boy problems?! Pretty sure my dad’s solution to my boy problems was always, “no dating until your 30″)
Totally agree! They are just going off of what Emma has told them. But I have a question(s), if Emma is really start to feel something for Hook, why hasn’t she talked to Snow about it? Does she think Snow will not understand? Does she think Snow will just dismiss her feelings and say she needs to be with Hook? Is Emma afraid to admit she has feelings for him or is she genuinely confused? Or does she not have feelings for Hook? Thoughts?

Ah this one. The first time Emma has openly admitted to anyone else that she has always loved Neal. And she did it Snowing, the two people who know better than anyone what it means to fight tooth and nail for true love. And this is the reason why, imo, that they are “pushing” Emma to see if there is anything with Neal. To look for more good moments. Snowing may not know all their history (yet) but they do know that they have a child together and that they love each other. They can see the hurt and pain but also the anger and the love. I think they want her to at least explore her feeling regarding Neal. She wanted to talk to him and she told them that.
Emma (On the verge of tears): Yes, Neal just died, but I lost him years ago. All that time thinking that he didn’t love me only to find out that he did, and it was too late. I can’t even tell him how angry that makes me. Or how much it hurt when he left, or how terrified I was when he came back, because I knew the moment I saw him, I never — I never stopped loving him.
- Now I don’t know but if my daughter said this to me and I found out the guy she was referring to was still alive, I’d probably move heaven and earth to get them back together.

I understand why Snowing thinks Emma should at least talk to Neal. I completely get it. I know they are pushing her a bit but they are doing it because they love her and as far as they know she just told them that she wanted this chance. Until she tells them that she doesn’t love Neal or wants Hook instead, they are going to still believe that Emma wants a chance with Neal. And they just want her to be happy.

VCF apparently knows who but won’t say. Does anyone have this tweet? Also, why is it a secret whom the actress is dating in real life unless it’s important to the show? (e.g. Josh Dallas and Ginny Goodwin had to conceal their relationship for the first few months until his divorce to his first wife was finalized). So who could Jennifer Morrison be dating? We know it can’t be Colin O’Donoghue, who is married to another woman. Could J-Mo possibly be dating MRJ?!
That’s what I thought at first, but wouldn’t it be more obvious then? I don’t know. Colin and his wife aren’t having “problems” are they? I don’t want to delve too much into all this tho since it is about their personal lives and it has no bearing on what is happening on the show but at the same time my curiosity makes me wonder.

"Because... it was born out of true love."Wonderful posts my friends. I was thinking of when Neal was with Emma back in their “Tallahassee” days, he was good to her and she was good to him. She was happy and He was happy. They were making a home together. Neal was not abusive or cruel to Emma during the entirety relationship. The only thing we know that he did, was leave, Emma. And I think because Neal was so good to her and they were so in love, that she was so hurt about losing him. Him leaving her came total left field for her. And now she realize that like her Parents, Neal abandonment of her was not out of spite or because he didn’t love or didn’t want to be with her. It was because he was trying to give her best chance And sadly, like her parents it caused Emma a lot of pain and hurt. But now she is aware of this and has to come to terms with this, not for Neal nor her parents but for her self.

People complain that they think Neal and Emma’s past relationship brought out the worst in them because they were stealing and moving around and living in motels. But they were surviving at that time. They didn’t have anything else. But they were making plans to start a real, permanent life. Which is why she was so hurt. Just like Ranisha said, everything was great and then suddenly, out of nowhere, Neal is gone and she’s going to jail.
And then I read people saying that Neal abandoned Emma to have Henry by herself and they hate on him for her having Henry while she’s in jail. But Neal did NOT KNOW she was pregnant. And again, I will say that he would have NEVER left her if he knew. No way. He wouldn’t have cared about her “destiny” at that point. He would have only cared about his son and Emma.

Then neither did Snowing cause pretty sure they stuck her in a wardrobe to be raised in mentally and emotionally abusive foster care, unloved and unwanted. But “oh they were doing that for the sake of their people.” You mean the same people Neal was trying to help become uncursed even though it meant his father would come after him? Something he fears so deeply that he created an entire false identity? *sigh*
The thing that drives me crazy is that some people say that she should have been consulted in this whole decision but if he did, he knew she wouldn’t believe him for one. Because who in our world would believe that crazy story without any proof. She would just think he was crazy and who knows what would have happened then. But I think he also knew that if they stayed together, she wouldn’t want to go to Storybrooke. He didn’t know the specifics (imo) but he let August convince him that Emma would never go to SB if Neal stayed with her. Of course, Neal didn’t know about Henry at the time either but we, the audience, know and had they stayed together and had Henry together, Emma might have gone if she thought her parents were there but who would have tried to convince her that MM and David (who were her age) were her parents? I mean there really was no other way that Emma would have continued to stay in SB and eventually lift the curse. Henry was key to getting her to SB and her STAYING in SB. And Emma would not have given him up if she was still with Neal. I mean honestly, if you are going to be mad at anyone for Neal leaving Emma, I suppose you have to be mad at the writers for setting it up to be the ONLY way in this scenario that Emma could break the curse.
