That’s pretty much what I’m thinking as well. If this wasn’t the finale and had another million things going on, then there would be time for traveling all over the place and looking for Philip and new Wraith realm and what not.

I’m hopeful that when we see them again they’ll be a bit more exciting. Phillip seems really sweet and we didn’t get much of him but he spent so much time fighting to get back from being a yaogui only to have to find a way to get to Aurora and wake her up! He needs more story.
Aurora was just getting spunky & feisty & all things good (Snow, Emma, and Mulan were good influences on her) right about the time her storyline disappeared. (Figures). Seriously her standing up to Cora was awesome and one of her best scenes.
Mulan…needs a bit more work for me. I liked her a little more when her hair was down and she was working with Belle. (Maybe it’s the hair…she just seems so unapproachable and soldier-esque when she was with the girls at the start of the season). Where’s Shang to chill her out?
Unfortunately for me, Mulan was quite a disappointment. Probably because I love the Disney Mulan so much! That’s my absolute favorite Disney Princess (Rapunzel and Ariel are right up there too!). I just feel really cheated since all my favorite things about the movie isn’t present. No Shang, no criket, no spunky grandma, and no MUSHU!!! FTL Mulan is soooooooooooooooooooo serious. I mean like oddly serious. I understand that she is a warrior but I wanted to see more personality. She’s clever and spirited in the Disney movie. And I know that this isn’t the Disney movie but I was so excited when I first heard that Mulan would be in S2. I thought they would do her justice. It just hasn’t felt that way for me. (Oh and I HATE that she is in love with Philip. Hate it!)
Okay, enough of my rant. I hope MAP is more exciting as well in the finale.

I think it is hard to imagine how Mulan and Aurora would have left FTL. I suppose anything is possible but it will feel like a lot to explain that they somehow got to NL and just happened to stumble into Neal.
On the other hand, if they are using Nostrols on Phillip and just hanging out by the safety of that lake when the portal brings Neal there, I could see it. They’d maybe see the portal open and rush forward to see what’s going on, because otherwise they are trapped.
That is my thinking. It just doesn’t make much sense for them to leave FTL. I like the idea of Neal ending up where the Wraith takes the souls he consumes but I just don’t know how anyone else would end up there. But now that we have the Lake Nostos theory, that has become my new leading theory as to where MAP and Neal are.

Someone theorized that maybe Neal got sent to NL since he was between life and death as he fell through the portal and that lost souls end up there. It’s an interesting idea that I really like but I just don’t know how one would travel from EF to NL.

we literally bookend the show somehow (on a day very very very far away) with Emma having a big wedding and all the characters we know and love are present in the audience to parallel the Snowing wedding from the pilot – except this time we recognize people in the audience other than just Grumpy!) That way it ends on a happy note for Emma, *somebody, maybe Henry?* closing the book, and we’ve seen all the faces we’ve grown to love along the way so that everybody is included (well, everybody that is still alive at the time and friendly with the good guys). Perhaps Henry will write additional pages to the book and be telling a baby sibling or something what that day was like?
I like the idea of ending the series with Emma’s wedding with all our beloved characters present and paralleling the beginning of the series.

Remember earlier on the season Lancelot, David and Snow brought David’s mother to the lake to heal her poison arrow wound from King George’s men, but instead of healing herself she sacrificed her life so that King George’s curse on Snow would be broken so that Snow & David could have a child.
As I said it’s possible that MAP could use the water from the lake to heal Neal but I am still under the impression that they are in Neverland
