Bar FarerParticipant
I am curious to find out what the loophole is for them to be able to destroy each other and live to tell the tale.
Um yeah, they established you can’t kill one without the other with Jekyll and Hyde, right?
Yes, but OUAT has a tendency to introduce not foreshadowed dues ex machina to solve all of their problems.

Bar FarerParticipantI really didn’t like the retcon, but I’ll always love Baelfire.
Right, agreed. The only thing it does is prove that either 1) the writers don’t understand/remember their characters or 2) if they do understand/remember they don’t care about those same characters. Whatever serves the plot of the moment is how they write their characters.
The latter.

Bar FarerParticipanthe puts him in a terrible position? What a ridiculous thing for JMo to say about what happened.
What on Earth! She is essentially saying that it’s Emma’s fault that Hook didn’t own up to his past and do the ethical thing. “Because she put him in a terrible position.” So what, she had it coming? I sometimes get the distinct impression that JMo’s interviews are completely ghostwritten for her, or that she is being serious gaslighted by the show runners.
I think she just doesn’t care and doesn’t want angry KillEmma shippers coming at her.

Bar FarerParticipantShe puts him in a terrible position? What a ridiculous thing for JMo to say about what happened. Hook killed Charming’s father. Hook is only worried about how this effects his relationship with Emma. He doesn’t even mention what this might mean to Charming. Then it is somehow Emma who has done something wrong because she found the ring and put him in terrible position where he feels like he has to propose. Give me a break.
He should have just told her anyway. Now it is only worse. Though, i expect nothing more from these insane characters. I really thought that wasn’t Emma while i was watching the scene. Her behavior was so out of character in that scene, last week too. Like who is this character because it is not Emma?
Emma hasn’t been Emma since pretty much season 4.

Bar FarerParticipantAlso, RB fans are pissed, bc appears she said to rumple for the 1st time you put your son 1st, when they actually say, He became dark one for Bae and later on 315 he gave his dagger to zelena to try to save Neal.
THis is their way, im telling u of making Hook look good.
I actually think they do it to make Rumple look good and that’s because RC is leaving, they want his ending to be positive (whether it is by sacrificing himself like 311 or HEA with Belle and their child). They try to fix 3 seasons of assassinating Rumple’s character (and yes that was because they wanted Hook to look good in comparison) by assassinating Baelfire’s.

Bar FarerParticipantI think Regina needs to reemerge with the Evil Queen and then maybe her and Robin could find happiness together.
Just before Regina removed the cover from the cage, when she acknowledged that the Evil Queen was part of her, I figured that that was the key to ending the separation spell, and I thought “Aha! The cage will be empty!”. And then it was empty, and I was happy that a character was showing emotional maturity and moving on from a tired plot thread. But sadly, nope…
That would have been too smart for this show. They need to have DRAMAAA

Bar FarerParticipantIt’s going to turn out Hook is actually Bae’s real father.
Not possible when Milah met Hook for the first time when Baelfire was already like 7 years old, as shown in “Devil’s Due”. Rumple and MIlah’s marriage also didn’t get rocky until Rumple injured himself to get out of the war, when Baelfire had already been born.
Milah could have been unfaithful to Rumple while he was away at the war, to a stranger in a mask calling himself Westley, later revealed to be Hook, who comes back for the woman he fell in love 5 years prior.
I would not underestimate the writers ability to retcon past events like Snowing’s first meeting or Cora being betrothed to Leopold.

Bar FarerParticipantAlso, for the love of all that is holy, can someone please explain to me where Hook got the money to buy the rock? Does he have a job? Does anyone have a job? How does money circulate into SB? Or does Regina print it? How does produce? Seriously, what is the political economy of this place– because I don’t understand it one bit.
I was wondering the same thing! The ex-pirate has been unemployed for a long time now and sponging off of his girlfriend. He was basically homeless before he got his ship back or moved in with Emma. Why don’t the writers give him a job already? It seems like he’s going to be in it for the long haul, so why not show him providing for his future family? Maybe Hook pawned one of murder victims’ rings or had some stolen money put aside from when he and his crew acted as highway robbers during the missing year. I suppose we can be thankful that at least Hook didn’t give Emma a ring from one of his many murder victims, as I was fearful he might.
Wasn’t he? He could have killed someone who was about to propose (but it’s okay because it was probably some random dude unrelated to Emma so no one cared about him).
