Basically, A&E promised we’d get an answer to the question of why the UW looks like SB. Their reply: “YOUR QUESTIONS ARE POINTLESS” (aka the answer to every question about this show)
We actually are getting an answer in 516. According to overheard on set dialogue, Hades created the Underbrooke as a gift for Zelena. Something to do with how Zelena always wanted to be the one to cast the curse.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they have never planned for this and the only reason they will add an explanation is because fans started to ask them about it on twitter based on bts.

Bar FarerParticipantI feel like Michael Socha is one of the only actors to tell it like it really is working on OUAT. But, I’m fairly positive that behind closed doors, many of the actors would say similar things.
I think OUAT is going to be one of those shows where in 20 years, some of the actors will start dishing all the dirt on what it was really like. I know that happens alot when show ends. Everything seems all fine and dandy until you dont have to worry about being on the payroll anymore
20 years? I don’t know if Bobby can keep quiet that long.
Has he spoken against other projects he did?

Bar FarerParticipantYeah, I don’t like this version of Meg as well and unless the Hook was aware that Emma talked to him, which then why didn’t he talk back, then he shouldn’t know Emma is in the Underworld. However, the writers have proven that if the viewers know, then the characters know even if there wasn’t a scene to let the characters know.

Bar FarerParticipantGood for him! A and E ran rough shod over him and his character. And now fans of WL, who reallllllllly loved him and Ana, have to try and headcanon what happened to them after. Did she die? Did they reunite? It sucks cause their ship was one of the strongest on either show.
You should do what I do, just pretend Wonderland happened after S4.

BTW, did anyone else just felt that RC wasn’t really acting? He just said his lines. I mean just look at his scene with Belle.

Bar FarerParticipantWell, I saw some theories that if Neal had really moved on, he wouldn’t have been able to appear to Emma, and this is all Hades’ mind games like he did with Cora and Regina. It is wishful thinking in my opinion.
However, I do think that Emma might not end up with Hook. I think if the writers really don’t take the easy way out and really forshadow their future storyline (when did they ever?) then Emma might let go of Hook the same way Regina did.

Bar FarerParticipantI enjoyed seeing Henry Sr. back as well. His final scene was truly amazing.
what sorts of business must those souls complete to be free?
Hmm. For Cora, it’s definitely something to do with reuniting Zelena and Regina and being a happy family. For Cruella….Idk…. For Blind Witch, I am also uncertain. If we were set to get an origin episode for her, I would say it has something to do with her past (why she is blind, why she eats kids, etc). Idk. Honestly, I cannot think of what unfinished business these people have.
That’s because “Unfinished bussiness” means nothing more than A&E had something to write for these characters and the actors were available.

Bar FarerParticipantStill not sure what myth books A and E are reading. I’m not overly fond of the idea of calling it the Underworld and using certain classic Underworld imagery (five rivers) but it not really being the Underworld at all. It’s more a Limbo. The writers want to have their cake and eat it too–they want to play with Hades as a villain and thus they need the Underworld but they don’t want to go so far as to say Hell or make it anything other than a Limbo/Purgatory. Eh. It bugs. As we go on, I’d like to see more punishments that fit the crime/are personal, like with Cora. That’s a pretty meaty idea. The Blind Witch is cooked and eaten, for instance, only to come back each day. That could be kind of fun–do unto the villains what they did to others.
They probably just read some synopsis on wikipedia like they did with Arthurian Legends. From what I understood from the episode, there’s the “Underworld” or whatever, Hell is the fire and Heaven is the door.

– Emma and Neal’s scene. It was bittersweet. I like bittersweet.– Emma and Henry’s scene.
– Regina and her parents.
– There weren’t any retcons.
Disliked:
– the red filter. It hurts my eyes, and it doesn’t look threatening, it just looks like a dust storm. If it’s going to be like that the whole half season, it will be worse than Neverland.
– flashbacks at this point are pointless fillers. Did anyone really feel any suspense when Regina crashed that heart? We know it’s not going to work.
– Don’t get why they suddenly need to make the Evil Queen a brat. She was threatening in the first season, now she seems like a grown baby.
– Henry sr. Was not a saint, he helped Regina kill Snow’s father and that mirror guard.
– lots and lots of OOC moments:
Regina- everyone tells her this is a dangerous place, she sees what happened to the random dude no one cares about, she sees what happened to Hook, get your kid to safety. Your kid is more important than that pirate!Rumple – he was just weird, why didn’t he went to look for Neal. Sure we know that he’s not there, but he doesn’t know that. If the audience knows what’s happening, it doesn’t mean that the characters should. This was a problem in previous season when Arthur knew a lot of info about the dagger that the audience knew when he shouldn’t have. I see this is going to be the same situation in this season.
Emma just blackmails Rumple in front of everyone and no body tells her that’s wrong? Our noble hypocrites heroes. Honestly how can we not root for Rumple? He just had enough of those people’s crap.
