ParticipantThey can’t kill Snow. That’s not a thing. I understand she is very pregnant right now, but they just can’t kill Snow off. This show is ridiculous enough. They just can’t do that.
How would you let her exit the show if not by killing her?
Anyway, I saw people suggesting that she might have returned to Storybrooke with Ruby.

ParticipantWas Ginny on set?
No, and I think she hasn’t been filming since 518.

ParticipantEmma was Emma Swan before she met Neal. That’s why he gave her the swan keychain.

ParticipantHonestly I didn’t like The Dark Swan so if you say that this one is worse? I have no hope for this series whatsoever. My questions are (just yes or no will be enough): 1. Were there any retcons? 2. Were there any inconsistencies? 3. Were there any OOC moments?
1. Not so much
2. Mmm. Yes there was one that made me *head desk*
3. Yes.
Thank you 🙂

ParticipantWhen Ned died in GoT, it affected the characters, his family, the politics in Westeros. It set up the war of the five kings for two whole seasons, and I will admit that GoT sometimes unnecessarily kill characters without any outcome for the sake of shock (not the case with the books though). Again, it’s not the fact that Neal died, it’s the fact that no one mourned him afterwards (10 seconds funeral does not count), it’s the fact that it didn’t have any impact on the characters. A lot of great stories has tragedies in them (ASOIAF, LOTR, Hunger Games, Harry Potter) or even TV shows (Buffy, Jessica Jones, Grey’s Anatomy) because tragedies build characters, they grow from that. OUAT did something tragic and istead of letting the characters react to it, it just ignored it and went back to normal, so what was the point in killing him?

If you didn’t like The Dark Swan, then you are probably too far gone to be pleased by the show anymore. Which is fine. Not saying that as a negative thing. But it will likely take a lot for you to think an episode is good now. The fact that Rumple’s girl gave it a 7/10 means I will probably give it an 8/10 haha. It’s encouraging. The Neal thing is sad as I’d hoped he would make a return around the finale. But I’m mostly happy that Greg Germann is doing a good job with Hades and that the writing for Hades seems good out of the gate. Let’s go #operationfirebird
Was I disappointed in an episode where the only people who tried to get to Emma were Hook and Regina while Henry was chilling in Granny’s and Regina’s plan was basically hoping that everyone would be stupid in order for it to succeed? Yes I was. If people compare an episode to The Dark Swan and claim that it was less good, then I really don’t have high hopes for it to be good.

ParticipantI’ll use the word I kept using when this first started leaking: it’s cruel.
It is, but the whole Neal arc has been anyway, for anyone who liked him at all.
I liked Neal, but I’m not sad that he’s gone from the show, and I’m not interested in seeing him again. He was an important part of the plot in season 2, and after the technology vs magic storyline mutated and fizzled, he lost a lot of the relevance-to-plot that I thought made him interesting. It’s a tragedy when real people die too soon, but the tragedy for fictional people is when they stick around too long. Neal lost a lot of relevance before he died, but he would have lost a lot more if he’d stayed. I don’t mean this as flamebait. It’s just not something I can express in the other thread where most of the Neal talk takes place.
A story is about characters and the plot should serve them. Neal wasn’t connected only to the plot in season 2 and he can’t be irrelevant when he still has a connection to a lot of characters – Rumple, Henry, Emms directly and Snow, Charming and Regina indirectly. By your logic then Regina was irrelevant after season 1 and Hook was irrelevant after season 2 and everyone was irrelevant after season 3A.

ParticipantIt is worth it just for all the teeth grinding from CS fans. First, the 100th episode is Regina centric, then this, and according to rumors, there aren’t any CS scenes in the episode. LOL…

Participant– Favorite Episode of the Season
probably 313.
– Favorite Character Introduced
IDK, Glinda? Rapunzel? I didn’t like Zelena at all and all the other new characters were just meh.
– Favorite Moment of the Season
My favorite moment was from the episode I hated most 320, which was the Charmings family with the new born baby.
– What were your thoughts on Zelena being Regina’s sister?
I didn’t like it and it never made sense, just reeks of bad retcon along with 318 retconning Cora’s backstory.
– How did you react to Neal’s death? ? Note: Please don’t bring up SwanFire vs CaptainSwan, for the sake of everyone’s sanity.
It was a bad decision, regardless of who should be with Emma. Neal had a connection with other characters, mainly Rumple and Henry. I didn’t appreciate that they just pretend like he never existed.
– Had Neal lived, how would the rest of 3B been different?
A lot. There wouldn’t be any lips curse to create tension and some kind of conflict between Emma and her love interest because Neal and Emma had already had a well developed conflict, However Emma would have still lost her powers because “Regina needs to save the day” I guess.
– What did you think of the twist that it was Regina who defeated Zelena with light magic instead of Emma?
It was horrible. They totally did a disservice to Emma’s character and her Savior status. Moreover, they treated her like a big plot device. They said that she was the only one that can save them, they cast the dark curse to get to her, they sacrificed Charming’s heart in order to do it just so she could ultimately do nothing. They never needed to do all of that, they only needed Regina to believe in herself, that’s crap.
– What were your thoughts on the show exploring the concept of time travel?
Never again.
– Regarding this Season, has your opinion changed at all looking back?
No. I hated it then and I hate it now. Besides the point that I already mentioned, this season felt fanservicy. The writing was simetimes bad – “The Queen may be evil, but I’m wicked, and wicked always wins”, ” This isn’t the wild west. No it’s the wicked west” (they’re not even in the west), “what did I ever do to you? You were born”. It was filled with inconsistencies and retcons – Cora’s backstory and sharing a heart nonesense. It had a lot of OOC moments to enable situations and plot like 320, which was the worst episode of s1-3, and it felt rushed, all the season was messy and rushed.
– Did the split season work for this full season?
Yes. Cause I can seperate the good OUAT (1-3A) from the crappy OUAT (3B – ???hopefully not more than 6).
