The Reaper says it might change his prediction for some shows.

ABC's Paul Lee out. Probably should change some predictions, but don't know enough to choose which ones. https://t.co/kld0MmAp9E

Paul Lee has left ABC: http://www.spoilertv.com/2016/02/paul-lee-resigns-as-abcs-head-of.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter Wonder what this could mean for OUAT? Paul Lee was a fan of the show and always talked fondly of it, from what I recall.

Well it depends what she thinks of the show and its depiction of relationships, but I guess we’ll see more Ursula.

It’s baiting. I think it’s going to be Hades’ episode, he has to have an episode, and this is a reference to his car.

Actually, ABC’s press release for 512 mentions it being “the 100th episode of Once Upon a Time.”

Yes, Adam speaks on some codes of production made by ABC, but the network and adam know that episode 100 was in reality 511 and not 512 and just bc they say it doesnt make it true, when there are proof of the opposite and this is not even made by me, is actually by them, they have a bluray made by them that says S4 had 23 episodes and not 21 episodes and a speacial episode of 2 hours and outside US, s4 had 23 episodes, so while may be epi 100 in US( bc of codes) is not epi 100 outside Us. But moving on bc this is not really the subject of this thread i believe, is about promotion, which i said will probably be the red carpet thing, the kick off for the promotion of 5B arc.

    Marketing reasons.

I agree, abc still labels s4 episodes as if STM were two episodes with different number in their official website. If s5 hadn’t gotten an extra episode and 511 had been the spring premiere, it would have been the 100th episode and not 512.

They said that when Emma told Neal that she made a deal with his father, Neal knew what his father’s reaction would be when she came empty handed. He came back in order to confront his father for her, that showed his love for her.

So first thing is Adam said that they have been building to that episode since season 1 and that Baelfire was always supposed to be Henry’s father so I don’t understand why they can’t admit what was their intial plan? Why they avoid telling the truth about who was planned to be Emma’s main love interest when it’s so obvious?

Because A&E sold out their original vision when (1) ABC executives said to include Hook in as many scenes as possible and (2) when they said to make Hook the main love interest. If they admit they changed things, then they risk alienating their overlords and alienating CS fans who like to maintain otherwise. Why do you think A&E stopped doing their podcast after S2? It’s because they were blatantly pro-Swanfire in S2, and ABC put a stop to it. I think the line, “You killed a man for a ship? Who does that?”is A&E’s meta commentary about what really went down in S3b.

I just hope yhat when the show is done, they would be able to tell the truth for once (I doubt it).

This makes me wonder if people are too harsh with A&E. I don’t think they wanted the show to turn out like it did and perhaps after abc demanded they would make Hook the main love interest, they just didn’t care anymore and give abc whatever they want (Hook, Regina, Disney) in order to keep their job and not burn their bridges with abc. I can’t say they are bad writers cause they gave us season 1, then I thought they were just lazy, but now I think that they lost all their passion for this show and that just makes me sad, because the way they talk in the commentary just seem that they cared too much for this story to make it all about ships and Disney.

I always complained about them, but now I just feel bad for them.

Eddy said that they wrote Rumple to be nice to Henry in their scenes cause Henry reminded him of Baelfire.

RC said that Emma and Neal bar scene is one of the best scenes JMO did on the show.

I’m watching the commentary for Manhattan so I might post some of my thoughts in here (I hope it’s okay).

Perhaps ABC are starting to wonder whether or not it’s worth keeping OUAT. Where once it used to be a universally praised show (there were a few minor issues but nothing major overall), as the seasons have progressed it’s gotten a lot more criticism for the messages it is sending out and the decline in storytelling. Some fans have actually left the show because of it, and if the fans are leaving that bodes ill for the show’s future. Also A&E said they had enough material for 5 seasons so maybe this is it for the show. How can you outdo a god of the underworld as a villain?

    Quote

Unlikely since all they promote is Hook. The official website is like a shrine for Hook, their twitter is filled with Hook/CS photos).

They claim they have plans for 5 seasons, I don’t believe that’s true.

How can you outdo the random villain from the Underworld? You just bring a different random villain from somewhere else.
