For what it’s worth, the possibility for s7 to be set at the wish realm seems more positive than ever so Emma might not die in the finale and KillEmma might still end up together.
It’s a creative and plausible theory, but I’m personally hoping this isn’t the direction they take things. The Wish Realm was my least favorite part of this season. Also, the DNA of OUAT has always been character revelation through flashbacks. The Wish Realm residents just came into existence this season. I guess they could show flashbacks if there’s a time jump… It would certainly be a reboot, but a disappointing concept in my opinion.
I agree, I don’t like it at all. The wish realm is typical A&E move – eating the cake and having it too. The idea of it is confusing, the place is not “real” otherwise Regina murdered two innocent people just to prove a point, but they treat it as if it is real, and then there is the fact that it is treated as if it’s just like any other realm. However, I do believe that A&E knew about who’s coming back a long time now, probably since filming 609, therefore they created a place which could serve as a potential back door reboot without all those inconvenient characters whose actors are leaving.

Rebecca Mader won’t return for season 7.

Bar FarerParticipantI really can’t wait to see the failure of this reboot. It’s going to be so enjoyable seeing the ratings tank when Adam and Eddy realize that plot plot plot and new characters is not what made people fall in love with your show. It was the relationships, the romance, the family complex. Those are all gonna be gone.
All the characters that make the villains complex characters, are gone.
But it has been that way for 3.5 seasons, I don’t see why it makes any difference now.

Bar FarerParticipantOne thing no one mentioned yet, Yesterday ABC renewed Scandal for a last season, they had no problem announcing it as that, however with OUAT, not only they gave it 22 epis, like they didn`t anounced it ,at least not yet, as last season, can this be that ABC/Disney may think that they may end getting more seasons than only this one?
That’s because Shonda decided to end the show, A&E want to continue OUAT as long as they can.
what the heck is there to watch for? Nothing.
I think ABC may still use OUAT as a way to market some Disney to the people. Some people are into the show for that alone. There are still a few Disney characters the show might be able to try to market the heck out of. They did it like crazy with Frozen, and tried it again with Aladdin and Jasmine.
I mean, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Moana pops in next season, or Mary Poppins turns out to be a villain. People will watch.
I really don’t understand this argument. I really don’t think Disney needs OUAT to promote their merch. Billions of people went to see that dreadful BatB remake and I don’t think it has to do anything with the 3 millions who watched OUAT at the same time.

Bar FarerParticipantAt this point they are just trolling everyone.

Bar FarerParticipantThere’s no reason why Adam is not promoting the finale when literally he does this for every episode. Something is going on.
He doesn’t want to deal with angry fans. He has done it many times.

Bar FarerParticipantthe final battle also makes no sense when u think about the fact that Black Fairy was detined to kill Rump, who was a savior, not Emma.
So what even connects these two people? What makes her destined to fight emma? Shes literally just another bad guy in town.
That’s because she is exactly like all the villains who appeared on the show, the only thing that makes her “special” is that she happens to be the final villain to be featured in the final arc (or at least Emma’s final arc).
I don’t think that anyone believes that when Rumple said “final battle” in the pilot, they had the black fairy in mind, like I said she just hapoens to be the final villain. I don’t even think that A&E would have done something with it if fans hadn’t asked them about it."All your questions are pointless"
Bar FarerParticipantY’know. It wasn’t really that great of an idea when Buffy tackled the whole “mental hospital” thing/idea.
In other news stop riffing on Buffy, show!
At least in Buffy, it was just a filler episode. Here it is the series finale, the climax of the show, the “final battle”.
In Buffy, the final battle actually ment a battle.
