ParticipantLol. I actually almost used BaelbondsWoman for my username. I think fans who get into spoilers and speculation can correctly guess many things, but for most fans they still seem to be surprises.

I do think down the road, the path to forgiving Gold for Neal is realizing the parallels between Henry and himself and Gold. Like, “here I am telling my son this, but I’m not listening to my own words.” I think Gold and Neal are going to have to live in the same town for quite a while before anything can be patched up.
Neal seems like he is longing for a family, and I can’t see him abandoning Henry, especially if he feels like he was abandoned by his own parents. Experiencing fatherhood would give Neal a new perspective on his father’s feelings too. I could see great potential for it to bring them together. I’m sure Henry will want Neal in his life. He sounded very curious about his father when he asked Emma in season 1.

ParticipantI have friends who ship Captain Swan, and we have lots of fun chatting about OUAT. Folks can definitely be fans of multiple characters, ships, and actors. It’s just the rude things that a few shippers have said about actors that I find unneccessary. (The whole Twitter thing.) Any fan is welcome here as far as I’m concerned. While Neal is my favorite way to ship Emma, I kinda multiship lots of characters on this show.
I loved MRJ in Terriers and True Blood. If you run across a chance to see him in Terriers you’d probably enjoy checking him out in that. He was adorable as Britt. He has some of the cutest expressions.

Something else that stroke me as odd. From the pictures he’s supposedly visiting the coast. Yet all pics of his meal are beef and no seafood. No lobster, crab, fish????
My father rarely eats fish, and we live in New England. I’m cautious about fish because I have seafood allergies. So that one doesn’t strike me as too odd.

ParticipantFavorite: Any scene involving Rumple, Whale, Regina, or Cora. Plus, the Charming family breakfast scene.
Least Favorite: Emma interrogating Greg seemed unnaturally suspicious

ParticipantEmma’s interrogation of Greg was completely shady. It would be simle to downplay events from a sudden accident in the dark. He looked like he hit his head on the wheel when they were first checking him, so there’s an easy case for head trauma even. There was no need to make a big production about it and make things look suspicious when any average person could easily wri te it off. Just ask for his version of events. Then give him a story about a group of people with car trouble out on the road with a road flare and looking for help. She could easily casually ask after Greg’s “concussion” by saying he looks kinda sick and that Dr Whale instructed her to tell him if Greg had any nausea or ringing in the ears, etc. If she can diagnose broken ribs, she should know something about head injuries. Whale would back her up.

ParticipantLoved this episode.
I don’t think Rumple was making a threat when he said he needed to leave before he killed Hook. He was expressing his struggle to honor Belle’s wishes about not killing. He’s hurt, frustrated, angry, and very much on the edge of what he can take. He immediately healed her wound with magic, so that wasn’t an issue to hold him back. His efforts to help her remember backfired, so his presence at Belle’s bedside isn’t helpful. Cora is in town, and that puts him in a bad spot. Trying to find Bae now makes perfect sense, because Bae is the other presence in Rumple’s life who humanizes him. He knows where Bae is right now but has no guarantee that Bae will stay there. It’s a perfect desperation move. Rumple knows that if he doesn’t leave now he stands to lose everything he has with Belle by succumbing to his fury. His threat is quite scary, because it shows how close the Dark One still is. Not sure if it’s more like Hook is poking a sleeping dragon with a stick or if he’s poking an A-bomb.
Loved the Frankenstein story to show us what drives Whale. Can’t wait to see what happened after he couldn’t kill Gerhardt. I can’t imagine that he’s been sitting in that cell for the last 28 years thinking, “Dinner’s awfully late. Isn’t Victor going to feed me?” Instead I rather suspect that not letting Gerhardt go then led to bigger tragedies still to be revealed. After the events of The Doctor, Whale has every reason to have gone on a downward spiral. His dream of bringing life was crushed. He couldn’t help his brother yet again. His name is associated with a monster. He’s had to eat his pride with Rumple to get his arm reattached. This case reminds him of his past and the mistakes he seems unable to fix. Hardest of all is that so far he is the only character without any friends from FTL. Until he and Ruby do their monster bonding, he has no friends or confidants to turn to.
While a case can be made for Regina trusting too quickly in her mom, it’s also been established that Regina does love Cora and have a twisted need for her approval and affection. Regina is emotionally vulnerable right now and afraid of losing her son. Even with their terrible past, it’s human to crave a mother’s presence and comfort in times of trouble. Cora plays on that while exploding Regina’s insecurities. She knows her daughter better than anybody, with the possible exception of Rumple who might be her equal there.
Lots to think about for the next three weeks at least.

ParticipantAmen. They’ve been giving us clues about Henry’s father since season one. That role alone is enough to make Neal important. 🙂

ParticipantThey really need to make Neal a regular. MRJ is awesome, and his character is pretty darned important. Hope we see lots more of him!
