Tamara and Greg are both bad. Greg didn’t seem pawn-like in this clip. He seems to relish it. Bothersome.
I might be the only one, but I’m loving Tamara and Greg as villains right now. So far they’re pretty sane by OUAT standards. I need that right now on this show. Their manipulation of Hook was thoughtful and effective. Greg has good motivation to see magical creatures as evil. Tamara’s motivation could be promising. I’m liking this so much more than I thought I would when Greg first arrived in town.

ParticipantHehe…. that might be my favorite sneak peek so far.
So that answers both what Hook is doing with the spyglass and what the pictures of Belle and Rumple coming out of the bar were all about.

But would Henry being kidnapped bring Hook into the Charming family fold? We know he fancies Emma, less clear whether that is just his go-to position on females or something more. He seems sympathetic when they're climbing the beanstalk and in Tiny's fortress to Emma wanting to get home to her son. And there's the fondness with which he spoke of the Lost Boys in Tallahasee as wel.
Maybe he would see GOAT kidnapping Henry as crossing a line. The pirate of fairytale and legend has a moral code buried deep beneath the pillaging exterior – think of Pirates of the Caribbean etc. Kidnapping a kid might be a step too far for Hook. I'd like that as a plot line, and it would explain the photos of the Charmings and Regina on the Jolly Roger with Hook.
The village in EF that Cora slaughtered contained children. You see them in episode 2×03. There was no mention of a great mystery where no children's bodies were found, and I think Snow and Emma would have noticed something like that. That means Hook had no problem with letting her murder them. If Hook has already been okay with children being murdered, that's far worse than kidnapping one. So I don't think it's a general code for him.

Well, she certainly can live without it, since she did for 28 years in SB before Mr. Gold brought magic there. Hmmm, that makes me question whether she’d actually become saner. Even as “magic-less: Mayor Mills, she managed to be pretty full-on crazy. She separated Kurt Flynn and murdered Graham. Yet, I think what you’re getting at is would she be content to live without magic? She may not have a choice though if she’s “zapped’ of her magical ability by GOAT.
During those 28 years nobody else had magic either. Her jones for it would be heightened by seeing others use magic. I think Regina would love to be the only one with magic, just like she wants to be the only one with a happy ending. And yeah, she still did some full-on crazy as Mayor Mills. If she were to get saner it would probably be due more to Henry than not having magic. She got her crap together briefly when he fell under the sleeping curse last year and again when she was first trying to stop Cora from coming to SB. The question is for how long would she keep it together this time?

That’s a really interesting analysis of Regina and Hook. I can see why you see potential for them. At the end of the day though, I think that the fact that they’re both damaged in exactly the same way means that they couldn’t function well together in the long term. I think each of them needs someone with different, more stable traits, to balance out their own personal issues.
That’s a completely possible outcome. It’s all in the writing, and since there’s a very high possibility that the show will never go into this territory we can only conjecture. Hook x Regina wouldn’t be the only couple I ship who have the same kind of damage. Technically, Emma and Neal share abandonment issues out the wazoo; difference being that neither of them has gone evil villain over it. The outcomes for Pirate Queen are that they either enable eachother or they recognize each other’s weaknesses enough the help each other overcome them. Since I’m in fanon, I can have fun with both possibilities. It’s all good, baby! 😉

ParticipantOkay, so there’s the order to kill the whole village. Very like Cora killing the village in the 2×05. I sometimes wonder, if despite all A&E’s talk of hope and redemption, the show has crossed the line into irredeemability for certain characters. If it’s a choice that’s one thing, but it’s one heck of a fine balance for what audiences will actually accept.

3) Emma needs to let Mr. Gold know about Tamara asap! He is so on team Swanfire! 😉
Agreed. But I’m wondering if–given where Rumple is mentally—would he care? He would probably say something like “I can take care of myself” like he did in In The Name of the Brother where he “didn’t gave a…”
I think Slurpeez was refering more to Rumple going into Protective Papa mode where Bae is concerned more than wanting to protect himself. I think in this case the more he wants Bae back the less he’d interfere. There’s just no way Bae would forgive turning his fiancee into a snail and crushing her for having a suspicious list of names. If something triggers Bae’s own Protective Papa mode, that could change I suppose. 😆
And after finally seeing the clip of David and Snow, I can see how hearing David’s really stupid plan could cause Regina to freak. (Really, David? Gonna offer to let a psycho choose to either stay alone in a deserted town or spend the rest of her life in Rumple’s cell, and you don’t expect that she’ll look for option 3?) I just miss the days when (as others have pointed out) she still had a sense of reality about it. It’s not so much to me about her being all Evil Queen. I still expect that from her. It’s the fact that I expect the Evil Queen to be smarter than an 11 year old, instead of blurting out her plan to Henry because he’d totes be all over that plan. I don’t get how he isn’t raking her over the coals for her previous attempt at killing his whole family. They couldn’t possibly be keeping that from the kid. And I totally agree with the narcissim diagnosis and that she turned herself into the Evil Queen. Just like Rumple turned himself into the Dark One.

ParticipantThe first one is up on youtube, but I’m on a mobile device and can’t link.
Interesting scene with Henry. Looks like Regina is riding the delusion train if she thinks Henry will approve this plan. Part of me wonders if this might be a dream or some kinda fakeout just because she should know Henry better than that. Much better than that.

Oh! That is diaboical–if that is not what happens, I bet A & E would say “wish we thought of it”
^THIS! That’s a really good suggestion. Diabolical is the perfect word for that plan too!

Because Gold wants to get rid of Henry, and by teaming up with her he can get rid of him he wouldn’t be threaten with her power. Emma intercepts the note and it can’t be from Hook, if she is intercepting it. In other words if Hook wanted to give it to Emma why not just hand it over.
Gold’s name is on the list. Knowing that names have power, I don’t see him wanting to write his true identity on a list and give it to Tamara. I kinda think he’d curse her in a heartbeat to keep her away from his son if he knew what she was really doing.
Do we know if that list has anything more to it or any extra pages? So far there is nobody on that list that I see Hook being unable to identify. Dr. Whale/Frankenstein isn’t even on that page. There’s just six people so far. I actually think Tamara would be completely capable of writing the list as we’ve seen it all by herself.
MM and David are grandparents to Neal’s son, as is Neal’s papa, Rumple. She saw BF turn Pinocchio back to a little boy. Kinda a no brainer there. Regina is the adoptive mother to Neal’s son. Archie is a close friend and was Henry’s therapist. Heck, Henry could actually have given her the names inadvertantly. He’s proven adept at pegging identities since season one.
