Belle should live and be happy with Rumple.
I want that desperately as well…but it would be pretty bad writing for them to be this ridiculously tragic couple and then all of a sudden they get a HEA. I’d be furious that, as a fan, I was denied seeing them happy together at all, for more than a day.
[adrotate group="5"]RG, well I don’t completely disagree with you. I mean, I believe that if a character has more to give story wise alive than dead, then that character should live. I tend to think that death on shows is done for shock value, but then that’s dependent on the writing. LOST, at least until I quit, killed gratuitously…….
I personally despise Hook, I admit it (though I’m not wishing him dead); nothing he can do short of an astonishingly sincere apology to Belle can ever make me change my mind…….and I don’t necessarily find his story compelling at all. So, if he died, even if I’m not wishing for it, I wouldn’t be devastated. I just don’t buy his redemption story……at all. Frankly, the only redemption arc that has been at all believable (and gorgeous) has been Gold’s.
You kind of said it yourself actually – Belle SHOULD die. The only reasons you have her as needing to live are so she can help Gold. What about her journey? Her life? I’m all for her helping him, but she’s done that…… She can continue to alway support and love him, but if she doesn’t have a path in life or an identity, she’s really a complete waste. She’s my 2nd favorite character behind Gold and not far behind him at all; I adore her and I adore Emilie…..I’d be devastated if she died.
As to Rumbelle’s happy ending, frankly (and I posted this in their thread), given how they are written, they shouldn’t have one…….it would be untrue to how they are written. The longer version is, again, in their thread.
I think viewers are turned off already, frankly, and I’m very unhappy. I just don’t get how you spoil something like this, knowing that instead of exciting fans it’s going to worry them.
Just a thought I’ve had over the past few weeks:
I dearly want Rumbelle to have what they deserve, but right now, and it kills to say this, I think that they shouldn’t have that happy ending. They are written (to the extent that they are) as a couple who is destined never to find happiness, never to be together……they are written as a couple spent forever yearning for what they can’t seem to have. I think it would be truer to how the writers see them to deny them a happy ending. While I would be devastated, I don’t think I want to see a HEA for the glommed on to their story after we’ve never ever seen them happy together for more than a few moments, a day, whatever. It would not only be aggravating, but it wouldn’t ring true. The best that I think could happen or should happen to them would be for them to be reunited in some afterlife.Believe me, it hurts so much to say this…. I’m all for angst, just not THIS much. By now, they are simply just one big tragedy.
Belle or Bae………
For storyline purposes, Belle’s death would give Gold so much to do (though it would be awful). Bae’s would as well, except that Belle is his rock and we saw that with her help (in the S2 finale), he was at least stable. Of course no doubt he would always have been shattered, but she would be there for him, loving him, helping him through it. Much as he adores his son, Bae is not Gold’s rock, not (as Bobby continues to put it) his emotional center, his strength. Without Belle, I think he’d just shatter and probably suffer a break down. There are many reasons not to kill her, of course………My gut tells me she’s safe, but barely.
Neal………and Hook.
Well really, it came down to a process of elimination. I don’t think anyone in the Charming family will ever die…..
So whoever actually dies on SCREEN, I am only predicting this: this is more or less singling the death toll for ONCE. I can’t fathom any logical reason to kill any of these characters. Graham was killed to A) show how far Regina would go to keep the Curse intact and B) demonstrate just what you could loose by breaking the curse.
That’s pretty dramatic……I’m not sure I agree. I don’t think ONCE has more than a year or two left anyway, but having little to do with the death,. I could find reasons for these characters to die, but just as many (or more) for reason to live, especially Belle and Bae. I will say that fans of the character who might already be ticked off may just end up quitting altogether (IMO, Belle/Rumbelle fans would be more likely to do this because they’re already on edge to say the least)
Of course, Belle generally gets zippo in terms of story and Rumbelle is hardly on, so she’s the most logical one.
Same stuff on Emma/Hook as we’ve gotten before
Better this stuff with possibly Cora/Leopold than Rumple……..
Rose said that the character to pass on isn’t one she’s heard people assuming.

Well, it really all depends on who she’s hearing from. I sort of wish the actors wouldn’t say anything – it’s already bad enough on the fandom. I like how MRJ handled it, saying in his ASKMRJ on twitter that he can’t and won’t anwer any questions about the death. If you can’t say anything, don’t say anything at all……
RG, I agree……we won’t ever really know and so honestly I can’t work myself up about when the death is going to happen……..it’s annoying that it’s going to happen at all. Speculating about negative things only heightens my pessimism and worry, so I try to nip it in the bud…… well about things like this, anyway. We just won’t know until it airs…….
I know he gave it to him, but it wasn’t his castle to give…..and I want RH to have the decency to find other lodgings. The DC is not a hotel – I only want Bae and Belle to live there

Aww, me too! I can’t……I need them in the Dark Castle (get OUT of there Robin Hood)……….Oh geez, if they show us Belle wandering around the DC, remembering her baby, I’m going to lose it.
