Bo-PeepsParticipant
Aside from the gag-worthy comment that Hook could remind anyone of that dullard Neal, A&E have consistently proven/written that Hook and Emma were made for each other.
They are the intense, passionate SOUL struggling romance couple of ONCE who represent the complex depth of finding and fighting for a genuine love of one’s life.
Neal was a self-centered putz. Hook’s emotional journey and intense devotion to helping Emma believe in herself and open her heart to love again is so hard in large part due to the hideous damage and pain Neal caused for her. Neal was toxic to Emma. Hook is the path to healing her.
It is a difficult and arduous path for both of them. The rewards, however, if they succeed, are SOUL saving and immeasurable.
Until and if Hook gets his hand back, the hook IS his hand, which he has had a tad bit of century experience controlling and using. The only thing aggressive or abusive about the “scene” being discussed is the moronic comments from obsessively immature whiners.
The foul crap that these rape-culture-obsessed dolts are using as a lame excuse for their inabilities to face “fictional” reality and to try and denigrate someone else’s joy only makes them look ugly, mean and troll- pathetic. And frankly, they can p***-off.
And that video you linked,@lady, is splendid!!!! Thank you!

Bo-PeepsParticipant“Snowing should have just named their kid Killy.”
snork! Hahaha
(and in no way shape or form was he planning on ever trying to get into Emma’s pants because apparently Neals’ love transcends Taco Time)
…been there, done that, scarred Emma for life! Double snork and a wink.
Happy Thursday back atcha!

Bo-PeepsParticipantLong live “…the little bit of the bad boy”! Keep Emma on her toes.
I’m with you surayya…bring it on 🙂

Bo-PeepsParticipantI certainly hope we see twists and turns for our feisty couple! The actors love that as well. If it was all easy sweetness and light it would bore everyone (grin). Passionate people need a little pot stirring to keep them satisfied.
I wouldn’t expect any less from the creators. Idea people create well, ideas! And the characters bring those to entertaining life 🙂
While Hook and his Lady Swan are solidly affectionate and have been purposefully and carefully written to be that passionate couple, they have obstacles to tackle that still will propel them forward and for those of us gathered here to bask, celebrate and even become an angst-pummeled part of that dramatic joy, it’s all still GOOD.
To @lady…ignore the petulant killjoys. Those who choose to embrace that mindset continue to grasp at delusion and wallow in denial. They seem to thrive on sucking the joy out of even their own world by toxically clinging to the venom and hate. They also seem to be oblivious that at this point, the rest of the fandom, having given them time and space to react to a fictional happening on a TV show…don’t care what they post anymore.
But we welcome you to vent anything here, anytime! We are kindred spirits 🙂
Regarding the possible but unlikely return of Graham…loved his accent (grin) and his affinity with the beautiful beasts of the world, but he was a bit of a submissive! (Oh the 50 shades of irony in that statement!) And while there was some good quick chemistry between he and Swan, it didn’t seem very substantial or up to the level of intensity to match Emma’s challenging personality and demons to vanquish!
and as usual, the spoilers have sucked me in, bigtime! I am looking forward to ALL the new drama…and costumes..in the world of ONCE.

Bo-PeepsParticipantYes, Ma’am, that’s the stuff I am talking about!!! Way to step up Hook! A little well-aimed, loving passion is good for our gal. She’s gone unkissed far too long. (and looks like The Captain does it wellllll)
Of course, it may all end up on the cutting room floor, and we don’t have context~ Adam and Eddie have a way of sometimes twisting everything that looks potentially super yummy into angst but really…right now…who cares?? LOL It’s a good day for the team 🙂 And a super day for visual teasing.
And how about that little munchkin Roland? Does it get cuter? I don’t think it is possible. (ahhh if baby dudes would only stay precious baby dudes foreverrrrr)

Bo-PeepsParticipantWelcome, Lady 🙂
Hope you will find many enjoyable discussions and yummy visuals in our safe little corner of the fandom! Post whatever you like about CS, Hook or Emma …and beyond. We have a diversified group of Oncers here who chime in whenever they feel the urge 🙂

Bo-PeepsParticipantYou know, it really makes no genuine difference what Snow thinks about Neal. 🙂 It is about what Emma thinks about Hook….and vice versa. Snow (and everyone else) can project all they want about true love, soul mates, lust bunnies etc. It is still what Emma and Hook feel about each other that counts. Right now, they have a delicious *thing* heh.
It makes no difference how whiney or boring certain fans get about their self-indulgent obsession with Neal as the be all and end all of everything ONCE, and habitually spew shallow, immature and doltish Hook hatred (and by extension to Emma, and A&E and the writers). Turning their own phrase and oft posted anti-Hook motto: Neal Cassidy is still deader than you.
I do think that with the active and imaginative fandom speculating and theorizing and making oh-so-creatively entertaining Real Husband gifs, etc. etc. etc. that a lot of what is *out there* is often NOT what has actually been proven and shown in the episodes.
For now, it is Emma and Hook. Hook and Emma. The Captain and Swan. The Savior and The Hero, Lieutenant Killian and Princess Emma. Charles and Leia (grinnnn). We can bask and revel in that soulful joy no matter what killjoys rant, want or deny.
And that picture of Colin and Josh is just way too tssssss for words 🙂 Thanks (smooch)

Bo-PeepsParticipantActually when I read the description my first thought was Don Quixote.
Yes! Mine as well. Complete with the musical score playing in my head 🙂
I certainly hope so. His spirit could have amazing potential.

Bo-PeepsParticipantWonderful illustration 🙂 Thanks for posting it!! Too cute. Reminds me of the snow sculptures my four siblings and I used to create during Northeast winters back in the day !! We even did a pirate once, but not nearly as cute as this one.
(just a side comment, with the problems the forum has been having lately, are there any other message boards that you all regularly post on in case we have extended down time here? So we don’t lose track of the group? 🙂 I’ve popped into Previously.Tv and Once Upon a Time Fan Site occasionally)

Bo-PeepsParticipantQuick drop in:
I, of course, would love Hook to take Emma on board some ship in the harbor for a romantic candle light dinner out in the harbor under the stars.
Neither Milah nor Rumple were worthy of much admiration. Rumple was just a messed up jerk…to both Milah first, then Bae after. One can sympathize with Milah’s pain and frustration living with a narcissist weakling like Rumple; she pleaded with and gave him chances to help her and them as a couple to have a better life. What we saw on film indicated that he just wouldn’t. People infuriatingly overlook Rumple’s temperamental crappiness, but they hold Milah accountable for hers. Double standards as we know are alive and well in this fandom (grin) And while she chose to leave a toxic man but left her son with a loving (if weak) parent…face it, she left her son. Something I find abhorrent. She was underdeveloped for a reason, though. Her story wasn’t the one being told.
After he became the Dark One, Rumple purposefully murdered her in cold blood. Plain and simple. Murdered the mother of his son. Inexcusable. And far worse than anything Milah did. Magic comes with a price and it also comes with the potential to be a sociopathic scumbag. (but, I happen to like scumbag Rumple for the most part! He is the evil you relish watching because he speaks to the dark side in all of us) When he let go of Bae, though, that was a far worse abandonment in my eyes. He chose pure dark power over his son and let him go into an uncertain and frightening void~ totally and knowingly alone.
Soul Mate/True Love…equally powerful, different subtleties. From my viewpoint, neither one trumps the other. Tearing them apart under a microscope is pointless, and will only lead to fandom meanness in an extended fight over semantics. But bottom line, many want to argue about any reason to tear the writers down because they are still whining about Neal.
That ” elephant” is more of a Wooly Mammoth on this particular message board. I don’t happen to think Emma and Neal were even close to true love OR being soul mates. I think it was Emma’s first foray into fairy dust young attraction/first love and Neal was fairly shallow and Rumple-Cowardly about his part in it. If anyone was out for the *goodies* it was Neal.
How Henry came out of that baggage- laden coupling with the truest heart is the real magic of the show!
And I agree with you again Jenna, Neal really was no threat. His death had to do with the culmination of his story revolving around Rumple, much like Milah’s did. Emma had already made a choice about him, heart wise. He will be remembered leaving his mortal coil having made a heroic gesture and that is fine enough. Anything more is emotional and projected over-statement.
