Bo-PeepsParticipant
Always a kick to the romantic soul seeing those kisses again! Delicious little compilation. Thanks, obisgirl 🙂 They were so beautifully destined for each other even though it took a good long tease getting them to where they are now.
Not too terribly long before new *leakage* (ew, that suddenly sounded rather icky LOL) of on set pictures and speculation starts. That will keep us intrigued until we settle back into the routine of Sunday evening flights of fantasy. I certainly hope we haven’t seen the last of The Jolly Roger, the dramatic possibilities would be quite promising…but there is little doubt that the focus of the first dozen episodes will be the *Icing* on the cake of A&E’s fertile minds, so to speak. Still not sure of how it will all turn out as Elsa will bring a whole new section of audience to the fold. Fingers are crossed, but no matter, A&E certainly open themselves to attention that could be both brilliant and hideous.
They keep things hopping in Storybrooke. They also aren’t afraid to keep their fans and viewers one step away from the ICU units with their plot developments. There is always the risk of ONCE being the Disney-fied version of *Thrones* and start killing everyone off. That is what happens when you have so much story to tell and not quite enough time to tell it with the ADD of today’s audience.
But this particular story, the one of tortured and searching Emma Swan and the equally tortured and searching Killian Jones finding each other has been a torturous delight for true Romantics. Long may we be so richly rewarded!

Bo-PeepsParticipantThey might go the *Icing the Captain* route, though I would think if he is frozen it might be because dear Elsa gave him a hug of gratitude for getting her out of that closet/urn/etc. (grinnnn) ~wouldn’t that frost Emma’s cake! And be a bit of a turn around. Hook seems a bit impervious to the cold (yadda yadda hahaha)
He could also be a point of contention between Regina and Elsa, IF Regina tries to take things out on Hook to get back at Emma. Elsa could feel affection for Hook (and Emma) for releasing her. Fire and Ice war. But then, we have Anna and Kristoff for added flavor. Shrug. I dunno. But please no goofy snowmen!
Or, I am hoping, he and Emma (and Henry even) go off on a quest to recapture The Jolly Roger from whoever got her in the trade…Will maybe? He would be outside the EF curse zone and come sailing into Storybrooke. Not familiar at all with his character from Wonderland so I could be leagues away from what he is actually capable of in terms of characterization.
I am way too confused about time lines to figure out what is possible or not, but (cue the music score) that doesn’t seem to bother them anywayyyy.
But the most fun would be an episode version of Real Husbands!!!!!
So many possibilities!
But ABC sure seems to favor our Capitano!
What is not to love about THAT???

Bo-PeepsParticipantI would have a question for *Jules* but I don’t actively Twitter and in reading her other tweets you can see she is a sputtering slug. Adam opens himself up to this kind of dull rudeness by responding to it. I am guilty of following links there and reading so I guess I feed the beast, and some of the participants are wonderfully entertaining, but honestly…
Totally NON Once related Twitter Rant: While the Internet as a whole is amazing, wonderful, educational and *I wouldn’t want to live without it* cool, and brings masses of people together that would never have crossed paths…places like Twitter can breed the most unpleasant atmosphere polluted with crass, classless people who are smart enough to use a computer and social media, but will never be anything but graceless jerks. There is no stopping it, no changing it, no filters. You get the putrid with the good in a *free* social network. And when you give feeble minds free reign and access, you get tons of sludge for content. The responsibility and accountability level of the most vocal creeps is nonexistent. Specific to Twitter, the deterioration of language is encouraged, the behavior is wretched.
It’s the same everywhere and is the price of (mostly) free speech. You can disagree and debate, consult and educate, rant and orate…but the openly enabling atmospheres that breed immaturity and a proudly foul lack of decency, respect and intelligence are a prime catalyst for the rapid dumbing down of society.
It is the curse of being free.
and incredibly sad.

Bo-PeepsParticipantGrinning at Real Husbands, still spot on wit as usual.
Promo, as I stated upthread, is still gorgeous!! As usual.
Whiny Neal people, still hating Hook because he is loved, as usual.
Hook is still with Emma, Hook is still hot, Hook is still a massive draw.
Neal is still dead.
(done with the sympathy.)

Bo-PeepsParticipantABC Promo:
Mmm Mmm Good!! Go ONCE!!
Glad they included our family show in among the others (grin). Every hot promo needs a gorgeous, blue-eyed, tingle-to-the-toes, long, luscious sigh-inducing, day-dream creating, sassy-sultry rapscallion-heart-throbbing -scruffy-leather-wrapped Pirate of perfect pulchritrude to make the romantic soul swell a little. Well, OK, a lot.
Captain on, oh beauteous Babe!

Bo-PeepsParticipantOn seeing the obvious…
Snow: “True love always finds a way”
Henry: “What took you so long?”
***Always in search of a good flock***
Bo-PeepsParticipantYup.
I think a lot of these feelings about Snow are magnified by the fandom 🙂 (and very funny stuff some of it!!) but aren’t what is shown in the show.
Snow understands love. She loves Emma. Emma loves Hook. Hook loves Emma. Hook protected/saved/guarded Emma. Hook saved David’s life. Henry likes Hook. Hook likes Henry. David likes Hook. Hook likes David. Neal is dead.
The writers are going to be too involved with the hideous hole they have dug regarding Regina/Robin/Marian to deal too much with any odd misgivings from Snow White, el Bandito/Mother/Wife extraordinaire for her daughter and her daughter’s Love.

Bo-PeepsParticipantTwo links we might find amusing 🙂

The writers for ONCE really are wizards of the one liners, both snarky and emotional.
***Always in search of a good flock***
Bo-PeepsParticipantYup, Jenna…I’m hoping Henry gets some good adventures. He was a sweet little ten year old but “tweeners” are as extremely hard to deal with on TV as they are in real life. I can’t see them turning him into a disrespectful, wise-cracking mass of pubescent hormones, though he could be a fun foil for Hook’s snark (“Why are you wearing THAT?”) but they have to give him something meatier than the third wheel symbol of hope he was in S3-b.
Bae was always wracked with dark intensity, quick temper and grief. Henry has been the polar opposite.
Little Roland is there to fill the “adorable” space, so maybe they will allow Henry some EF rollicking adventure. He was just too oddly doltish in Neverland. A lot depends on how tall he has grown over break and if his voice has ‘cracked’ yet!
Lola…I’ve read some of Screwball’s posts over time and my appreciation of the witty snark often trumps any differing personal opinions. (If people don’t believe/like what I do, bottom line, so be it, live and let live…harm to none, just be relatively mature about it)
I thoroughly enjoyed the trip that was the finale! Flaws, oops, giggles, sighs, lip snacking, one-liner gems, guy liner sultry-ness, multilayered way too fake eyelashes and everything else.
I’m so done with the whinier of the”Neal” complaints. The too religiously self-righteous of The Saint Neal Brigade have driven their inability to deal with the reality of TV Character script death into a very muddy ditch.
Considering the epic span of character possibilities the finale could never satisfy totally. There was a disconnect between the set-up of the seasonal Wicked vs Evil theme and it was as if there were three parts to the whole season. A,B and Finale.
Too much story to be told from these creators’ brains to fit into network TV’s dumbed down demands and commercial interruption presentation problems (repeat three times and click your remotes…CABLE would be better…Cable would be better…CABLE would be…oh well)
They set up the whole “finding home” for Emma in the opener and tied it into Dorothy/OZ, which was cool, but then they shifted the focus to the Green Meanie and Regina, effectively putting a cloak of invisibility over the whole Emma Finding Home theme…until they told that story in the Finale. (Even with the double episode there were frustrating gaps)
It was a massive undertaking and edgy territory. Just way too much story to tell. They don’t fill in enough of the blanks, even with momentary one liners in the script that theoretically tie everything together in hindsight/foresight/no sight.
That is the very basic problem for writers like A&E. It is what it is and that is what we will always get with them. If, by now, fans haven’t figured that out and learned to deal with it, they are as …dumb as a box of hair (heh)
You just have to ride the roller coaster and embrace the mind rattling, spine destroying, stomach losing, teeth loosening, ear popping, eye rolling, brain dislodging ridiculous chaos of ONCE or go hop in a rowboat for “It’s a Small World”
***Always in search of a good flock***
Bo-PeepsParticipantI’m hoping The Jolly Roger isn’t gone! I can still see where they would need a vessel for escape or transportation. And if there were beans to be traded, then someone is probably out there with more beans and his ship.
It would be a mighty fine adventure to go recapture her for Hook. His crew would be ready and willing to re-board her as well. The entire season can’t be all Elsa (crossing my fingers) and while the triangle focus will shift to Regina (thank you very much), methinks the new duo could incorporate some nifty high seas shenanigans.
