PoM~Be glad you don’t “Get it”! (Slow smile) You ‘ve rationally and sanely written out many intelligent reasons why the fandom SHOULD understand the way A&E’s story has played out. It is theirs to tell. Period.
But as we all now know, when you deal with certain Neal fans~after a respectful period of understandable grief and *mourning* for the character~ there IS no rational or sane thinking left…there is only delusional (and now rather disgusting as well) rabid alternate universe ranting about how Neal made everything happen and Neal is the center of all things perfect and noble and Neal is the Saint of all things OUAT…blah blah excessive, wallowing worship blah blah. And A&E have ruined their lives and hopes and beliefs. And oh yeah, Hook is the spawn of helllll.
“They are a tad removed from reality, dearie.” said with a Rumple arm and hand motion.
Everyone else is wrong, stupid, and the characters are all now the insipidly-misused “OOC”. Every character in OUAT is hopelessly flawed and imperfect…except Neal. Everyone makes mistakes…except Neal. No one deserves or symbolizes true love…except Neal. Every moment of every show should be about Neal or his memory. And the moments that are about Neal are never good enough, long enough, appreciative enough. If it doesn’t serve their glorification of Neal, it is a PLOT device.
I hope none of us will ever “get” why Hook is so hated and A&E are so demonized, because then we would join the ranks of immature, self-indulgent, joy killing, shallow thinkers, who willingly embrace braindead denial.
It is not just sad anymore, it is pathetically petty. And it has very badly served the character they profess to know better than those who created him.
Their choice. They are more than welcomed to their little mean corner of delusion and despair.
The rest of the fandom can continue the journey as entertained, surprised, positive and interested spectators.

Bo-PeepsParticipantEpona :)~I hope she got him back as well. Scarlett would not be denied!
I think our Captain and Lady will have a lot of rough waves in Season 4. We’ve reached a great point, but no doubt Eddy and Adam will be testing them every step of the way, and torturing us as well. But I would be willing to let the Crown of Angst rest on Rumple and Belle or Regina and Robin.
I am going to try to fit Frozen into the weekend plans! Then I might be able to better figure out what A&E have got themselves into in the fall.

Bo-PeepsParticipantIt’s a shame the genres and the timelines wouldn’t gel ( and we all know A&E. are always spot ON with their timelines WINK , affectionate WINK) because Killian would be a perfect progeny of that dashing blockade runner Captain Rhett Butler and Miss Katie Scarlett O’Hara!!
laughhhhinggg.
“Frankly, my lass, I don’t give a bloody damn”
***Always in search of a good flock***
Bo-PeepsParticipantI hope Killian’s mother is still around, a “goddess of her own domain”, with a habit of raising one eyebrow! (And not related to anyone else) Heh. Heh. Maybe she would be the source of his culture, gutsy courage and witty snark.
so many stories to speculate/imagine/tell!
bring on S4, A&E

Bo-PeepsParticipantGoing back a page or two because I just got done reading!
I believe the Jolly Roger “set” may have been dismantled just for storage for the season hiatus.
I think there is a good chance we could see Hook and his lady love going off on an adventure to get it back. SOMEONE had a bean to trade for it, so it is still out there! (It would be wonderful to have them set sail to service the PLOT and an escape from everything getting turned into an instant Popsicle by Elsa,… or would that be OOC of the new Elsa?? grinnnnn)
As far as the AU of St Neal goes…the participants have created a very petty, toxic environment. It reeks of morose jealousy, encouraged delusion and graceless resentment. It is ultimately…very sad.
Be glad it has nothing to do with the continuing success of OUAT and our enjoyment of the adventure!

Bo-PeepsParticipantKILLER Spinach Dip
Ingredients:- 1 (1 ounce) package ranch dressing mix
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, at room temp
- 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, split into 2 1/2 cup portions (I prefer to grate it myself)
- 1 (8 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach
Directions:
Defrost the spinach.
Place it in a colander and press it until as much moisture as possible is removed.
Mix all ingredients (1/2 of the cheddar), and blend well.
Put it in a shallow baking dish (stoneware works best) in the oven for 20 minutes at 350°F.
Remove from oven.
While still hot top it with remaining cheese, heat in oven again for 5 minutes.
Remove and cool below lava stage and serve.
Goes well with tortilla chips.***Always in search of a good flock***
Bo-PeepsParticipantIngredients1 (8 oz.) package softened cream cheese (I used reduced fat)
1/4 cup mayo
1/2 cup grated parmesan or romano cheese
2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
1 (14 oz.) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
1 cup frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
2 tubes of crescent roll dough
shredded mozzarella (optional, though in my opinion completely necessary)
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly spray mini muffin tins with baking spray.
Combine the first six ingredients in a large bowl, stirring well, set aside.
Roll your crescent roll dough out onto a work surface. Working with half of the dough at time (4 triangles), pinch all of the creases together so that you’re left with one big pie. Using a pizza slicer or a knife, cut the dough into 12 roughly even squares of dough.
Press each of the dough squares into a mini muffin tin and fill each cup with the spinach artichoke mixture. Heavily sprinkle each one with shredded mozzarella. Because cheese makes everything better. Then pop those babies in the oven for 12 minutes and wipe the drool from your mouth as you wait.

Bo-PeepsParticipantUST, Jenven 🙂
Only in this case it’s Unleashing Shipper Tension!

Bo-PeepsParticipantOOC= the desperate cry of the deluded in ‘out of conscience’ denial.
Regarding the other subject brought up: The lame excuses that are used to try and validate the petty minds who perpetuate their hardcore ugliness with cries of misogyny and rape are a pathetic blight on this fandom.
Seriously. It is foul. And those who are cavalierly tossing those hideous insinuations around should be ashamed. But they are too busy wallowing in self-pity because a fictional storyline did not go their way.
on a MUCH brighter note…
Surayya I adore you!!!! You never fail to make this thread glow 🙂 🙂 thank-you from my luscious leather lad loving heart!
Welcome to new-ish posters! You have entered a thoughtful place with good souls. It isn’t every thread that can lay claim to having their very own Killian Jones, either. (Waving to our resident, much appreciated male!)
A “Happy Visual Feast Day” to all!
back in the day, we called these Fru Fests. (Laughing)

Bo-PeepsParticipantYou all have convinced me…I have Frozen on my *to do* list!!
I mean if Elsa may be harassing our Captain this fall, I better know a bit more about her (grin). And I can’t resist Broadway type songs!
