Bo-PeepsParticipantHey emmajones…:) My thoughts:
Nah, not even close with Neal being Luke Skywalker about anything. Frankly I think the naming of the baby was perhaps a personal shout out by the writers for the other actors who had such a good relationship with the actor who portrayed Neal. I was OK with it because I am not affected by anything Neal oriented but it was totally uninspired and off the mark as a hero thing. It’s kind of …eh. Maybe the baby will get a nickname in future shows so it isn’t confusing.
And I agree jenven! The *Neal died a hero and saved them all* is a huge overstatement.
As written, Neal’s final act was self-centered, as were most of his actions in Neverland. It was about Henry, not the town or even Emma, there. Unleashing the Dark One this half of the season was selfish. He wanted his dad/son back and he said to basically screw the cost. Not a hero’s stance at all. With him it was always the father-son element. I never saw the Emma connection as more than an afterthought. She didn’t need his blessing to move on, she already had many times. He had too. Tallahassee was equally about her new relationship to Hook than it was to her old relationship with Neal, but it’s that *romantic notion* thing A&E love to serve.
The scene he had with young Emma at the amusement park was actually sweetly touching, though, and it did give her the plot point of how to escape! A nice shout out to their young lust, wandering vagabond, petty theft background 🙂 I’ve never considered them anything but a young stardust fling that went horrifically bad, but for the good of the story (Henry) One tends to always hold on to the emotions of a first love, even one that went sour. And having Emma say she loved Neal is not a lie. Just not all that deep.

Bo-PeepsParticipantI actually stick to the Concept that Emma didn’t lose her magic, that she lost her belief in her magic…that the flash around the drowning scene was her curing Hook’s curse AND being the flash of a True love…though with Hook and Emma I have always thought it should be called Genuine Love! Emma had to “catch up” to what had already uniquely shown…
She had already saved Hook with a “TLK”. She/they just had to believe it.
shrug. No matter, I loved every second of their adventure. It made perfectly grand sense to fulfill Emma’s wall breaking and finding home beyond it.
Good ( and yummy) things come to those who wait!

Bo-PeepsParticipantBeautifully played out! Immense fun.
romantic, adventurous, sassy, sexy, humorous, sad, witty, redeeming, validating and delicious for our passionate pair. Endings that are new intriguing beginnings.
Angst in buckets to come, but long awaited joy in moments of fitting drama.
the actors all were in top form.
and for the record,
“always” and now, all ways!

Many Fan Forum Moons ago, this was a place for a lot of lively live chats/scrumptious graphics and prolific posting. If anyone is feeling creative, they could check it out for beginning a CaptainSwan refuge:
It could be a lovely, peaceful Squeeee Haven Get-away when the air gets a bit too thick while visiting here.

Bo-PeepsParticipantFun article. 🙂
“And don’t do any sports betting!” Heh.
These two are having a lot of fun with this *movie*, and I hope not everything gets spoiled. For as much as they do tease, backslide and sidestep, they deserve a very fresh and fun adventure for their finale. The landmines aside, this gives Emma a real chance to taste what life was like for her parents, when they were her age. It can help her get her mind off of the modern day traumas and failures she has had with her own past relationships, too. Be Emma without Henry at arms length. Emma fun. Sassy, “Princess Leia” fun! She needs that. And so do we.
As a little kid I was always a Spock/Bones fan, and thought Captain Kirk was a boring old stuffed shirt who was way too full of himself, but over the years (especially on Boston Legal) he has become such a totally lovable witty icon of snarky, self- deprecating, egomaniacal humor. *I am Denny Crane*

Bo-PeepsParticipantIt looks like a helluva lot of fun. For the writers, the actors and the vast majority of viewers. This is the fantastical stuff that makes this show such a delightful, escapism trip. Their chaotic and frantic journeys all over creation and back are what separates them from the stagnant status of other TV fare.
Charles and Leia SNORK. Brilliant comical gem 😉
(Oddly enough, the red dress, minus a few tears and tatters reminded me of the costume I wore as Nancy in Oliver during my *long long ago in a time far far away* stage days! Favorite dress EVAH. There is something extra kick butt about a red dress)
