Bo-PeepsParticipantRegina loooooves poking Emma about Hook.
And she is probably the only one to have the guts to mention the doe-ey eyes and yearning looks that Emma has. Which of course in her all stoic and bad ass mode, Emma denies. (Well, she denies the yearning! Heh, the doe-ey eyes speak a language all their own.) Emotional denial is Emma’s middle name. It is what we expect of her (grin).
And the *UN* Charmings. HA.
I love Regina, too.

Bo-PeepsParticipantThe *UN*Charmings. heh heh. This lesson is going to be fun fun and more fun. (Was that a flying monkey’s paw???)
(Wicked Regal, I adored Maleficent. Favorite villainess of all times. They totally missed the boat on her characterization)

Bo-PeepsParticipantOh, I think that made a huge difference 🙂

Bo-PeepsParticipantAds are a necessary evil. We understand the need for them and appreciate all you do daily to keep this Internet home alive, Daniel. Thank-you very much for your dedication and long hours.
Input: The ads right in the middle of individual posts truly ARE invasive and really break up the cohesive design of the forums…as well as the thought process of the readers. It is as if everyone’s opinions are squeezed in around messages from our sponsers and don’t hold the most value. It often looks cluttered and creates an “unwelcoming” image.
If there is a way to at least remove the ads from individual posts and keep posters’ comments (and continuing thread) whole and the main focal point of the forum it would help keep the strong sense of community alive.
Thank you again for all you do .

Bo-PeepsParticipantThis episode is shaping up to be a major character definer for Hook. It has been developing inch by inch and layer by layer. This is not some dreamed up tale of the AU of wishful thinking fandom. There is no *pandering*. There is a story on film, being played out. Romantic online notions, sensual fan fic and very creative graphics/videos aside…
Hook is alive. Emma is alive. He fought holy whatever to get to her. She trusted him enough to take that *serious* leap of faith and restore her memory….AND be caretaker of her beloved son. They have been put together by the story time and time again. The dialogue supports it, the action supports it, the filming angles even support it!!
Yet the denial can be coldly mean spirited and get thick and heavy, weighing down, in some instances, other’s attempts to enjoy the show as it is unfolding. We won’t know the “end game” until the end. But the proving ground consistently showcases an intense relationship developing between Hook and Emma.
I am thrilled.

Bo-PeepsParticipantPoM~ I embrace your vent wholeheartedly!
No Hope and lives destined for misery IS a depressing message. But it is not the message of OUAT. It is the message that some of the viewers choose to create because, in essence, the story tellers did not tell the story they wanted to see. It is their message. They are more than entitled to it. For whatever their reason. They must own it. The rest can just sidestep and follow a different path.
Any one of us could lose a beloved character at the whim of *the story.* It is not our story to tell. Hope though, is not lost. Not with these creators!

your comment about “EF version of tavern alley phone sex” had me, truly, laughing out loud! Thanks for the moment 🙂

Bo-PeepsParticipantNotice he corrected himself…”set sail…(guffaw) astride the open roads”
ahhhno sailing ship! Road travel!

Bo-PeepsParticipantAhhh, there’s the loyal heart we rapscallions lovers adore!

Bo-PeepsParticipantHardly desperation. More elation with their ratings holding firm and even improving.
(some small pockets of killjoy attitude aside, Hook is currently a BIG draw and they know it. So is Ariel. )
Ratings are their lifeblood. Swashbuckling piracy and the Dinglehopper-loving mermaid generates positive attention. 🙂
In regards to not making sense…previews are supposed to make the viewers question and wonder and be beside themselves from the tease. If it generates conversation, it succeeds!
Specifically regarding Hook…Hook would easily have recovered to see Cora’s failure in capturing Emma’s heart. If that scene had been a cartoon it would have been a classic “seeing stars circle around” a character’a head while they momentarily blacked out. He had no intention of hurting Emma, he was playing innuendo pirate to the hilt(pun intended) and she bested him in a classic cinema move. It was quite entertaining, as well as proving his future point to Emma about her cababilities.
Could be a ton of intriguing fun!
