Bo-PeepsParticipantOooh Jenna! Private downtime with the Captain and his Lady! Nirvana on a small scale, and with the constant pretties from our resident “Pretties Maker” Queen, surayya…we are ramping up to a fun season!
I am right there with you on the angst machine of CS. With the two of them being so intensely inner-emotion driven, regular is impossible. The indications are that they will progress even if that progression will be like walking uphill on a pile of rocks! Even with the struggles, they have a deep connection. The rewards of such struggles are always somewhat smoldering. Not a bad thing for our luscious love duo.
There is certainly a ton of story to be told about everyone, and we will have to deal with the same annoying commercial broadcast format of network TV but…
A&E will be bringing us more conflict between Hook and Rumple which is always a “gold”mine of acting chops, and will, aside from the budding romance with Emma, solidify his importance to the bigger story. We Dashing Rapscallion followers will have even more to appreciate and wrap our hearts around when his backstory is fleshed out even more. Emma’s too! Her brief encounter with Neal was only the topper to her wall of mistrust and abandonment pain. I hope we see the same young actress who played her before. Their casting sense is amazing, with just a few exceptions.

Bo-PeepsParticipant(surayya, the most sour grapes make the very best whines, dontcha know?)
Yes on the chart! On the more populous and expansive Internet sites, ONCE is enjoying a very healthy fandom that is excited for the approaching new season. Specific to our group(ies) here, Captain Swan has always been very popular and continues to grow. Rumplestiltskin still enjoys quite the cult following and Regina is still a passionate Goddess. The lifeblood of a series is the general public who tune in. ONCE remains quite healthy. The vast majority of fans don’t analyze like we of the Internet Boggling communities do. They just tune in and enjoy the creative ride.
The introduction of the Frozen story line may have been a stroke of brilliance after all. Here’s hoping a lot of the posters who flocked away due to *everything ONCE* negativity in many other threads here, come back when we get on with the story and the adventures as Adam and Eddie want to tell them.
Outside the thimble of Internet fan forums, the general public still calls the shots. And they are positive and excited.
As far as Happy Domesticated downtime, I prefer that Hook and Emma go on a dozen rip roaring adventures as the Dynamic Duo of Storybrooke and Beyond that test their love, their commitment and our patience! Drama is…well drama. I like them lusty and sassy… and super connected 🙂

September 14, 2014 at 3:26 pm in reply to: Jamie and Claire~Outlander Fans…watch the Premiere online. #282378Bo-PeepsParticipantGame of Thrones is too gory for me, and last night I had to turn away from the screen on several occasions. Even knowing that certain things were coming didn’t soften the brutality of the actions. Yeah, special effects, I know but still way too much for me!
I’ve never been a fan of Frank; didn’t like him much in the books and don’t like him much better now. So far, though it could be difficult not to feel sorry for him… a bit 🙂 I find him paling in comparison in large part because I am so taken in with the Celtic lore, breathtaking vividness of the Highlands and the allure of gallant, romantic history. (though in truth, there was truly ghastly treatment of women even behind the faux *gallantry*. Lot’s of *fauxness* everywhere in regards to how people combined honor and brutality with each other. The complexities of life’s *simplicities* boggle one’s mind. Man’s inhumanity to man. Part of the eternal human condition, eh?)
That, besides the irresistible love story, was one of the riveting reasons I kept with the books. The human condition. The good and bad of both Highlanders and Brits. Hideous behavior on both sides in the name of King, tradition and country, when it was just pure cruelty, hatred and disrespect to one’s fellow human beings that drove them all, even among their own countrymen. “Honor” and civility kept them from total savagery.
Civility is subjective. But, for me, the savagery is oddly (yet still uncomfortably) easier to take when it encompasses bold, beret-donning, kilt wearing, brawny clansmen than stiff-wigged, pompous-snit, nostril-flaring British soldiers. As much as I am an avowed Anglophile, they annoy the heck out of me in uniform. Must be the red suits (grin). I am much more into plaids.
(not much about the warring nature of men has changed actually, over history, though has it)
Watching a genuinely timeless love unfold with that as a backdrop is the huge drawing card that trumps all the harsher elements.

He truly is superb. The extended confrontation between he and Claire was so much more intense than the few written paragraphs in the book…
And I absolutely, more intensely hate his bloody guts. To the point where my skin crawls the moment he comes on screen.
THIS is a villain.

I am still smiling after watching it three times 🙂

Bo-PeepsParticipantI don’t think anyone will be surprised. In fact I think only Emma was in semi-sometimes-faux denial. So they can attempt to keep it secret…but is there anyone to keep it from?
I’m still hoping if any stepping back from their relationship is caused by anything other than Emma’s fear that Regina would attempt to do a tit for tat with her and Hook because of the Marian mess, that something threatening but not lethal does happens to Hook that would give Emma that kick in the butt to put down the wall building trowel and realize that if she continues to be putzy after making such advances in her self -realization and ability to love, she might be at risk of losing something precious.
From the new clip on the Spoiler S4 thread that nonnie keeps updating, there are some serious little plot moments that are going to knock us on our collective tushes, including some steamy scenes with Regina. And while we have enjoyed the extended and serious kiss between Hook and Emma is the set scenes, there are no guarantees it won’t end up in the same vault drawer as the NYC hug we loved so much!
Just give me my steamy, sultry, sassy Captain.
