@HappyEndings I’ve been going back and forth about that Christopher guy, to me i’ve decided it just doesn’t seem romantic between them at all. He kisses her on the forehead, which implies an emotional connection, but more of a familial, friendly one. Did you watch the LOTRs trilogy? There was a lot of forehead kissing in that, all between friends – close friends, but friends.

Hook talking to Emma at the park like Neal was with Emma telling her about the watches. Hook was arrested instead of Neal.

    This is interesting. 🙂

Also, this is payback from Hook locking Emma in jail :)

Lol, but Hook locking Emma in jail was the payback for HER abandoning him – Emma and Killian had a conversation about it in that scene.

Emma doesn’t need to pay back Killian for that IMO 🙂 She understands why he did what he did, and that it was an eye for an eye.

What Neal did was completely different. He emotionally scarred her. And from someone who has (getting personal here) suffered mental and physical abuse/neglect, I can tell you that emotional scarring? That’s the worst. Because it’s present in your psyche forever. It’s something you never fully recover from.

I’m an Emma fan first and foremost and the fact that Killian locked Emma in the cell? The way I see it is that if it doesn’t bother her it doesn’t bother me. And it doesn’t bother her.

And the fact here, is that Emma does not understand why jail was necessary, nor does she understand how Neal listened to Pinnochio in the first place. Neal’s actions bother Emma, therefore they bother me.

And I think the fact that we have 4 or 5 married/mothers in this thread shipping this ship… all responsible people (I’m sure!), the fact that they ship Emma with Killian instead of Neal is very telling

    🙂

I guess they might get the Cinderella goodbye too after the baby is born

I don’t think so, that would be an extreme disservice to their characters, and they’ve been in the main cast from the start 🙂 they’re all still a family, the focus has just shifted to Regina’s and Robin’s, and Emma’s and Killian’s love story 😉

Just watching season 1 now, I really miss the season 1 Snowing. But at the same time, I accept that their story is pretty much told, and it has served it’s part in the plot. At least you know that they’ll get their Happy Ending @HappyEndings! Lol

    Here’s a gifset for you:

Okay who’s in the mood for a long read? Lol. This is from onceuponamirror:

    ******SPOILERS FOR 3X12 AHEAD*******

Got a couple of messages asking me to clarify what i meant about all the hints leading up to the captain swan TLK this season

And I’ll just reply here, if that’s cool.

    1. Premieres mirror their finales, in terms of visual symbolism and structural arcs. This is blatantly true for season 1 & 2.

Now, the whole…mini-season thing has kind of thrown this system a little bit, but let’s consider:
    3×01:

    a. Discusses whether villains can have happy endings.

    b. #SaveHenry. Every character sacrifices something for Henry, even if it’s something small, like playing nice with others. (others who you may have tried to kill/tried to kill you, but still)

    c. Pixie dust/flying. Henry and Pan fly, which serves to show the strength of Henry’s character.

    d. Emma almost dies—MM, David, and Hook almost lose her.

    e. And for Hook, this is the moment that forces him to confront his feelings for the first time. Nearly losing her is what compels him to tell her that he likes her (even if he has the worst timing oh lordy, killy that was not the time).

    f. In relation to point b, Emma tells everyone that they have to have faith in each other. They have to work together. They don’t have to be friends, but they have to essentially function like the family they are.

    3×11:

    a. Rumple goes out in a fiery blaze says he’s a villain, which means he doesn’t get a happy ending. Regina sacrifices her happy ending—a life with Henry—to save the day. Hook has to let Emma go—his happy ending—because it’s the right thing to do.

    b. #SaveHenry. Emma doesn’t want to go, doesn’t want to leave her family (or Hook) but she has to sacrifice that for Henry. (also see point above)

    c. Pixie dust. Tink uses it to save the day, shows the strength of her character.

    d. Emma has to leave—MM, David, and Hook actually lose her this time.

    e. For Hook, it’s this that once again has him bearing his heart to her. He was going to back off, but circumstances showed the stake of the game. Losing her compels him to tell her he’ll think of her every day…and this time, she smiles. Encourages that thought. Wants to be loved by him. In 3×01, she didn’t say anything, but by the midseason, she accepts and DESIRES his love.

    f. Everyone works together, really rather seamlessly. All characters have faith in Regina, no one is squabbling. David, one of the people who really didn’t want to work with Regina or Hook in 3×01, now helps Hook up when he falls, pats him on the back, shares joy. They are a family, and they’re also friends.

    Okay—so you see my point?

    2. So we can really expect that the 3×12 premiere will set the stage for the 3×22 finale.

And what do we know about 3×12? Not much except for the fact that it’s HOOK AND EMMA CENTRIC. Hook needs her, so he finds her. Against all odds. And it really seems like at this point, he gets her to remember. It might not be the TLK that does it, but somehow, she trusts him.

We see her drinking the potion, AND THEN HUGGING HIM AFTERWARDS. Viewers of the scene called it “romantic, mutual and reassuring.”

So if in 3×12 Emma and Hook are hugging each other, what do you think they’ll be doing in the finale? I can’t make a prediction from an episode I haven’t seen yet, but I can tell you right now that evidence is in the favor of CS.

    3. You don’t bring in a failed TLK unless you want it to pay off and work down the line. I’m not making this up, okay? The writers have used a TLK with memory loss twice before, both with couples who have established true love (Rumbelle and Snowing).

It’s done to test the strength of their love. Snowing solved in one episode, but that’s because it was a flashback. With Rumbelle, it took…what, four, five episodes for Belle to get her memory back? And it wasn’t a kiss that did it; she drank a potion. It doesn’t invalidate they passed the test, does it?

And before Charming kissed Snow after she’d forgotten her memories, he first set out on an epic quest to find her because he was confident in their love. He knew he loved her, and he believed she loved him too. So he had to try, even if it was a long shot.

(you pick up what I’m laying down?)

    4. Everything said between Hook and Emma is foreshadowing. Writers put in all of that to start baiting the audience.
    a. “Just who are you Swan?” / “Wouldn’t you like to know. / “Perhaps I would.”
    b. “You think it’s the best plan because your boyfriend came up with it.” / “My boyfriend? Hook?”
    c. “I didn’t do it for you.”
    d. “Hook saved my life. I thought he deserved a little credit.” (when previously David had said he knew Hook was doing everything for Emma and STILL was going to make sure he never got her.
    e. “When I win your heart/I will win it/It will be because you want me.”
    f. “You think so?” / “I have yet to see you fail.” g. “You’re going to have to make a choice.”
    h. “I know why you did it. And it wasn’t for yourself or revenge; it was for Emma.”
    i. “Not a day will go by that I won’t think of you. / “Good.”
    j. “You can’t remember me, but I can make you.”

AND SO ON AND SO FORTH

Tons and tons of romantic oaths, from both Hook AND surrounding characters commenting on their relationship. Finally, in the midseason, Emma validated Hook’s love for her, told him she wanted to accept it, which was a huge, big step for her.

Like, overall, the finale was a big game changer. It announced Hook believes Emma is his True Love. There’s no denying it, no coming back from that. If you read recaps for 3×11, you’d see that a lot of commentators, even the ones who had previously flown the Swanfire flag, feel that the show is moving in the Captain Swan direction.

    5. 3A was about Hook falling in love with Emma, and 3B will be about Emma falling in love with Hook.

    6. Consider…season 1. Consider David and Mary Margaret. I’m not talking Snowing, but think about Storybrooke. In episode THREE, of the whole show, David is telling her, a stranger, that she’s the only thing that makes sense to him. Giving her romantic oaths and feeling an unmistakable pull.

Did anyone call it rushed? No, because we have the knowledge that they’ve been together in the past. David is right in speaking his heart. We find it compelling.

But that doesn’t mean they get together right away, does it? They know they love each other by 1×13. Cursed-MM and David are not Hook and Emma, but my point is…in the midseason, you tell the audience what to root for in the finale.

Another example of this is Emma and Henry in season one. 1×11 was the episode that made Emma realize how much she cared for Henry. Regina threatened a restraining order, and it separated the two. But their love only grew stronger, even if they weren’t together.

Look, OUAT is an extremely well written show. It has a smart audience and likes to encourage that. They want people to watch who enjoy digging and analyzing and theorizing as much as they want casual viewers.

If you follow the hints, it’s obvious a Captain Swan True Love’s Kiss is coming.

    From emmaaswaan:

Does Killian make Emma happy? Does he make her a better person?

It’s an argument I just saw on my dash, Killian doesn’t make Emma a better person.

I beg to disagree. Since she met Killian, Emma changed quite a lot, Killian revealed one thing to us viewers, Emma can’t let herself trust someone, that’s one of her flaws and before Killian, even if we had an idea of the problem, we only saw it clearly exposed with Killian’s entrance in her life, he made her rethink it, he made her doubt her own walls.

Killian makes her a better person for several reasons:

•He challenges her to try again, to trust again

That has been the first theme of their relationship, trust, she couldn’t let herself trust him the way she once trusted Neal. Killian makes Emma a better person because he pushes her to try again, to do it again, to let herself open up to people and to trust again.

In Neverland, Emma trusts Killian at 100%, she believes his words and indications and trusts his judgement to guide them through this land, whenever she needs an information, it’s toward him she turns to, asking him help and advices, he’s the one she trusts.

    •Killian gives her hope

It has been said since the first encounter, Emma had hope with two men so far, Graham, and Killian, he’s a man who gives her hope, for her life, for herself for love, he makes her hope and believe tomorrow can be better, and that’s exactly what we saw in Neverland, Emma had no hope, her parents couldn’t give her any, they were helpless with her and it’s Killian who gave it to her.

He believes they will find her son, Emma doesn’t believe in anything when she arrives, she’s moody and hopeless, it’s at his contact that everything changes.

    •He makes her smile

They were in a hopeless land, a land that had Emma bare in front of her fears, her scars, her past, a land that hurt her, her son, her family, a land that is more a nightmare than anything else, and yet, and yet she found moments, good moments with Killian, he made her smile, he made her laugh, she felt good in his presence She felt light and she felt hopeful.

    •He makes her feel stronger

We are talking about the man who’s a captain , who has years of experiences as a leader, and he’s letting her take the lead, trusting her abilities to be their leader, not once you will see him go against her authority, he follows her lead, not because he’s whipped, but because he thinks she’s brilliant.

Emma goes to him to get reassurance, to get hope and to find support. He compliments her skills and her patience, he makes her feel beautiful, he makes her feel strong.

And then people say he doesn’t make her a better person ? I think Killian makes her a better person for all those reasons, how he challenges her, not making it easy for her and yet respecting her choices, letting her being the maker of her life, she’s the one in charges and he’s the one right behind supporting her in her task.

    He makes her happy.

He makes her a better person, showing her she’s strong and she’s talented, believing she can do it.
