Omg, sincerelygsh says it far better than I did, and I requested this gifset!!! Lol

As someone who really adores Neal outside of his relationship with Emma this makes me angry for a few reasons. There’s something terrible about a man raising his voice at a woman whom he left for 10 years – a woman he knew was out there, felt betrayed by him, and who once loved him. I don’t care how upset he is, let’s talk facial expressions because MRJ is a fantastic actor and this is him angry. This is Neal being selfish. This is Neal being absolutely rude when he could’ve handled the situation more gracefully. Not to mention countless conversations after this one, he’s mocked her, he’s been rude to her. Dammit if Neal really loved her, he would’ve done his absolute hardest to handle all these moments with grace. The fact that he didn’t says so much about him.

Plainly, simply, it proves that he and Emma do more damage than good to one another. That’s not a healthy relationship. Fights happen. They’re natural, but they’re meant to bring out the best in a person. They’re meant to serve a person. What Neal’s done is mocked who Emma is. In this scene, Neal’s blaming Emma for something she didn’t even know. She never knew who his father was. If he loved her so much, why didn’t he tell her everything? As crazy as it was, why didn’t he open up? But he has the audacity to yell at her for what she doesn’t know and that’s what’s upsetting.

He left for 11 years, but he’s yelling at her for things she didn’t know. Ultimately, he has absolutely no right to be rude to Emma, no matter the situation. He needed to prove himself to be worthy, but from the moment they reunited, he’s brought her down until the moment he thought he lost her for good. I really don’t get his mind set. That’s not love.

Ugh… I’ve managed to cause some drama in the fandom with this gifset and I feel the need to defend myself lol.

    [x]

SFers are going mad because they thought it was a comparison of “hello Emma”s or something. In a way, it WAS, but I really just wanted the difference between the two highlighted.

This is how Neal reacts to Emma after not seeing her for eleven years, and is ANGRY AT HER – look at his face! – for doing what he KNEW would happen as soon as the curse broke, that his father would come looking for him. Neal DID NOT handle that situation well.

THIS is one of the reasons I cannot, WILL NOT EVER, ship SF. He brought her down, tried to make her feel low about herself for something SHE DIDN’T KNOW. She was VERY upset at that time, and he decided to yell at her. I mean, THIS IS NOT LOVE.

THIS IS NOT TRUE LOVE. END OF STORY.

I don’t hate Neal, but the Swanfire relationship, as I’ve said before, is all kinds of unhealthy IMO. And this gifset really shows that.

The difference between being separated from your love for 11 years versus 1 year.

    Wow.

I’m still not over that video… is it any wonder we avoid the Hook hate, that we feel like we can’t go into chat or whatever in case he get’s bashed? They don’t understand his character, and they don’t even try….

I can’t stop watching it and every time I do it makes me cry actual tears and I know I “cry” here a lot but it’s internal pain whereas this pain is internal AND external

Yeah, wow, she is an amazing vidder and…. wow

She has provoked a lot of emotions

    Sorry for the melancholia

There’s something really beautiful about the idea of someone finding a second chance at love after they thought such a chance was never theirs to have. Emma and Hook both represent that second chance for each other—a chance to find love that’s healing instead of destructive; love that brings hope instead of darkness. As an audience, we’ve watched Emma struggle for three seasons with the lingering pain of feeling abandoned and unwanted, and, with Hook, she’s finally found a man who wants her enough to fight for her and beside her and a man who makes her happiness his only priority. This relationship has given Emma a sense of agency and choice where she has so often been denied it. And it’s given us the hottest kiss this show has ever seen.

I think we skipped over an episode. I loved it when Hook was trying to get a compliment from Emma about his ‘fairy tale book’ counterpart. He was so adorable there.

That was Lost Girl, at the very start of it 🙂

    I LOVE YOUR MOMENT @obisgirl

    I love all the moments

I wrote a thing. The Hero’s Journey and Killian Jones in “Good Form”

Great read!!! 🙂 Some good points there!

What was your favourite part of 3×03 everyone??

A lot of people are going to say the coconut scene, but I think the scene that stuck out for me was when Emma was leading the group with the map, and when Pan’s camp moved she unconsciously looked to Killian for an answer. And I loved that when Regina said “you got us lost” that Killian IMMEDIATELY piped up with “no, she didn’t”. It was one of our first scenes where Emma sought support from Killian and he gave her what she needed…

    *cries*

To be honest I think we CAN read into the yellow brick road appearing in her wake!!!

I saw on tumblr that someone had the same question as me and they got an answer:

    • Hook’s promo was of him in Gold’s shop, which obviously became relevant
    • Ariel’s promo was her showing up at the dwarfs lunch which did actually happen

Sooo… anyone have any theories on what this could mean???
