ParticipantThe uncomfortable silence. We already know they understand each other and Hook doesnât have to say anything, to get that all she needs from him is to be there for her. The toast was for Neal, but really, it wasnât about him, or that he missed Baelfire too. It was about giving Emma the proper closure that she needed. I loved the music too. The music that was used, it wasnât Emmaâs theme or Emma/Neal â which would have been appropriate. It was a variation of The Road to True Love, almost a neutral theme for the scene. It was perfect. Speaking of the music, I canât wait for the third volume of the soundtrack. Captain Swan wasnât included in the season two soundtrack but I am 100% sure it will be included for volume 3 and itâll have a proper name too. Iâm counting on it being called âKindred Spiritsâ or something.
I loved the music too, and yeah cannot wait for the soundtrack. The silence though, I thought it was actually a COMFORTABLE silence rather than an uncomfortable one. I think JMo even favourited a tweet that said it was comfortable đ
Not gunna lie, it’s really hard for me to pick out one specific CS moment that’s my favourite… because I love all the moments. Every single one. Even the slightly angsty parts where Emma’s getting impatient with him or he’s trying to make her jealous.
I just love them.

ParticipantI have an idea. We have 11 episodes of CS moments. Why not until the season comes back, recap what were our favorite moments from each episode? The Heart of the Truest Believer â Favorite CS moment?
OH okay i’ll play đ
Favourite CS moment: was when Killian looked at Emma when he was talking about Happy Endings and then when he proceeded to follow her below deck when she was all mad/sad about what Rumple said and how they comforted each other about Neal and their comfortable silence and then when he and Emma were steering the boat together whereupon following a series of events Emma returned from almost drowning and he didn’t breath until she did, and then when he was looking at her through her leadership speech like a proud hubby and telling her he fancied her when she wasn’t yelling at him.
Yeah.
That’s my moment đ

ParticipantFrom ladyhacksaway (who is an English teacher btw so she knows what she’s talking about!):
Ok letâs be objective about this for a moment. In 3.11, we have two lines, two goodbyes, two potential love interests for Emma:
⢔this isnât over. iâll see both of you again.”
⢔there wonât be a day that goes by that i donât think of you.”Remember. Objectively.
Both are very promising for the future! Both indicate that to a degree their futures are promised to Emma.
Now differences:
Line A states that they WILL see each other again. Certainty of results, but no promise of personal action. Combined with how casual and detached the phrasing is, itâs your standard Neal fare.
Line B states that it DOESNâT MATTER if they see each other again, because Hook will be emotionally devoted to Emma Swan indefinitely regardless. It is phrased to make it sound like an action Hook is taking to be devoted to her, rather than citing some far off inevitable result.
I hope this connotation and phrasing breakdown has helped you realize why one of these lines is objectively given more emotional weight than the other.
