Actually you know what, there were too many callbacks to the beanstalk in this episode for me to ignore – tall plants, the cuffs, and the chain on the wall.
So no shipper bias present, i think we can safely say 😉

I’ve been lurking around on this thread for a while and decided I’d finally chime in. I’m completely obsessed with Captain Swan right now. It’s ridiculous. I’ve never been this emotionally attached to a ship before. And it’s completely wonderful. lol

Emma and Killian, on the other hand, just make sense. Especially after the end of the winter finale. You can see on his face when Emma opens the door how much he LOVES this woman. It’s not “Oh, you’re a cool person and I like you and it’s amazing to see you again”. It’s not “I’m really attracted to you and we make a great team and I think we’re definitely friends”. It’s “I meant everything I said in Neverland. You made me realize I could move on from Milah. I will fight for you. I respect you as a person, so if you don’t want me I will respect that, but I know what I’m feeling and I think I can make you feel the same toward me. We kissed, and you and I both know that it felt right. I love you, and when I told you that I would think of you everyday I meant it. And I have. And I’m finally seeing you in the flesh again, and you don’t recognize me, but I LOVE YOU.”. That’s what Killian’s face says to me (well, not to me, but I wouldn’t complain if it were to say that to me ) in those couple of seconds. And the fact that he goes for TRUE LOVE’S KISS… can it be any more obvious how he feels about her?

Let me tell you guys what is gonna be amazing about what is coming. The fact that Hook found Emma, he transcended the realms to find her. He was separated from her for an entire year and looked for her for an entire year. That is a very dang telling sign in and of itself. I think that the how and what Hook did to get back will be saved for later on in the season because I think he had assistance in how he found Emma. Perhaps Tink using her dust, she’s completely for Hook and Emma, that was the entire purpose of the flashback, then cemented in the church scene.

Yes, i agree though, apart from the pixie dust part, i don’t think that’s how it’s going to play out, personally. Since pixie dust appears to be rare. Although so are magic beans…. All i know is that the actress who plays Rapunzel talked about “not spilling the beans” when asked about her character or something. GIMME A BEAN PLEASE.

It’s just…so beautiful. Started out so full of hope for Hook and even knowing that it might not work, he had to try. He is IN LOVE WITH HER and in it for the long haul and full of hope. For a second it’s easy to forget that it doesn’t work with memory loss. That maybe just maybe it would work, because she seemed shocked to see him and then totally leaned in and closed her eyes for the kiss too. I feel really really good about this!

Also there’s the fact that every time we saw Snow recover from a memory curse – first person she sees is Charming. For Belle, it’s Rumple. For Emma it’s gonna be Hook.

Ummm, yeah. How did I miss the whole deal with the plants?? I was trying to figure out what they were there for. The only thing I could come up with was that they were there to show how different Emma is now since she wasn’t exactly a potted plant type of girl before. But of course!! The beanstalk!! And NL – the place where she kissed Killian – surrounded by green plants. Of course she would want to surround herself with green plants, even if she doesn’t know why!! The chain was a nice touch. That one puzzled me too, glad someone pointed that out. Did anyone notice anything else?
Yeah, i missed the thing with the plants too. But i think it may just be shipper bias that we’re noticing these things lol. Kinda like SFers think the song is a SF thing.
The only thing I found strange was that Henry didn’t seem like his usual, upbeat, chatty self. But it was morning and there might not be much to talk about. But at one or two spots I thought he had kind of a nasty PP like expression on his face. It just didn’t look like normal Henry. Did anyone else notice that?
Honestly? I think his hormones have kicked in and the writers wanted to show that. He’s a year older. He’s got a deeper voice and everything. He probably won’t be upbeat and chatty all the time now – he’s going to be a moody teenager sometimes haha. I have a younger brother who has just started to enter that stage.
Hook and Henry are the two that have come back FOR HER even after she’s abandoned them. Everyone else has abandoned HER and then SHE found THEM. I don’t think it’s remotely a coincidence that Hook is the one to show up to her door to get her to believe and go back with him to help save everyone. It’s SO much like Henry in the pilot. Can’t wait for more parallels!

I havent been able to listen to the CSpodcast, for some reason it wont just play- it keeps stalling out & crashing on me, so I gave up trying I havent been able to listen to anypod casts at all, which I miss (stupid win8)
You should be able to play directly from the CS podcast page on tumblr without downloading or anything- does anyone have a link??
I love how they’ve been book-ending the seasons/mini-seasons and this one popped up on tumblr. (Can’t wait for my complete rewatch in looking for clues the entire way based on what we know now but for now this will have to do!) I love these two and once again, the book-ending seems significant for CS!

Yep, I agree. Of course, it’s everyone’s own personal choice – but I KNOW I’m don’t have restraint enough to stop myself from ranting and raving anymore. Lol. *shrugs* at least I accept my personal faults!!!!! 🙂
.I started lurking on this site over a year ago and really enjoyed the conversations about OUAT, but I feel that it’s not about that anymore.
I always loved OUAT, but I only became obsessed when CS came into the picture. But I agree, I really hope that Emma and Killian are proven to be TL this season, or it will only drag ooooon and oooon.
Why all of the Neal love?? Is it because he’s Henry’s father or because we as a fandom all loved Bae? I’m sorry, but I can’t reconcile the two characters of Neal and Bae .IMO, they are completely different entities.
I think it’s because the fandom have pretty much universally LOVED Bae. For instance, I wonder what would have happened if A&E had gone with their “contingency” plan to make Bae and Neal two separate characters? I think they KNOW that there would have been absolutely zero sympathy for Neal in what he did to Emma if he hadn’t been Bae as a kid. Obviously all of the villains on the show have tragic backstories and that’s why we feel sympathy for them in the present. But I just cannot connect Bae and Neal in my head, so that kind of empathy does not happen with me.
I’m liking Neal a bit more this season. But god, he needs a storyline really badly. He has been nothing more than “there” this season so far, except in Nasty Habits, where I actually really liked him. Buy other than that episode, he has been in the background. His emotions aren’t focussed on in any sense really IMO. This is why I’m hoping that 3B will be all about Neal going back to being Bae, and finding his father, and working on their relationship. It’s probably too much to hope.
I will be truly disappointed if Hook and Emma are not a “thing” by the end of the season. There’s been more character interaction and development between Hook and Emma from Tallahassee on, than with Neal and Emma in these two seasons. They’ve basically pounded us over the head with CS from their first meeting, and from what I’ve seen of the spoilers, it’s still happening. If A and E have no intention of having a Hook and Emma pairing, then what was the point of all this?
Yeah, I agree with everything you’re saying here. But I have complete faith that we’re going to get “I love you’s” in 3×22 🙂 I mean, Killian has all but proclaiming it from the rooftops lol. They’re saving his “I love you” for a special moment. And it’s in that moment – I believe – that it will be a mutual proclamation.
What REALLY gets me though, like really gets me, is people saying that CS is “fanservice” or “forced” or “OMG Emma/Hook are acting OOC”.
UM HELLO, HERE WE ARE, CAPTAIN SWAN SHIPPERS, WHO HAVE SEEN IT HAPPENING SINCE DAY 1.
Tallahassee was ALL ABOUT Emma shutting down her feelings for Killian because of Neal. THAT WAS THE PURPOSE OF THE FLASHBACKS.
At the end of the day, only ONE man is fighting for Emma. ONLY ONE. Neal can say he will as much as he wants, but the fact is he isn’t backing it up with actions, and as Snow said “words, words, words, that’s all that love is. Do you know what means something to me… action.” NEAL STILL HASN’T TOLD EMMA HE LOVES HER, DESPITE IT BEING THE “BIGGEST REGRET OF HIS LIFE”. Despite the fact that HE AND EMMA WERE JUST SEPARATED BY A CURSE, he didn’t even say “I love you both” or ANYTHING.
UUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH
I don’t hate Neal but JEEZ Emma is someone who needs to be told every darn day that she is loved. When it comes to Emma, Neal is an emotional coward, with NO backbone, and that is not what they’ve shown us that True Love is about.
