I did a parallel list quite a few pages back now- think it was around the 60′s or 100 mark (it was towards the end of S2 anyway) …. I’ll see if I can find it, as most of it was SNowing/CS parallels- maybe it could have the new stuff added to it

The thing I love about the parallels between Snowing and Captain Swan is that it highlights how alike Emma and her parents are despite them not being able to raise her.
I try not to take them too seriously with regards to Emma’s own love story, but MY GOD THE ATTEMPT AT TLK TO SOLVE MEMORY LOSS IS A HELL OF A PARALLEL THAT CANNOT BE IGNORED

I think they were going for the Leia/Han scene “I love you.” “I know” feeling. Trying to keep it simple to remind people of that scene. I think it was incredibly painful for Emma to have to say to goodbye to Killian so she just . . . doesn’t. But it is very important to her that even though she won’t be able to remember – he will be thinking of her every day. She needs to know that; she needs to know that he is going to think about her every day – just like he thought of Milah every day for 300 years.
Totally agree @rumplegoldfan!!! Plus, Emma is not ready to confront her feelings for him yet. I never expected anything more than what we got to be honest – but the important thing is that it gave Killian hope.

Yes! It’s almost exactly like Heart of Darkness when Charming is convinced that he can fix Snow’s memory problem with a True Love’s Kiss and it doesn’t work. It’s only after his actions that Snow realizes he can back up his words and then the kiss finally works! SOOOO many early FTL flashback Snowing feels right now! Those first few Snowing episodes are why I fell in love with the show in the first place! I was a mess after someone on tumblr pointed out that Hook saying he’ll think about her every day is almost the identical wording from Charming’s letter to Snow. Charming’s letter for reference:
Dearest Snow. I’ve not heard from you since our meeting and can only assume you found the happiness you so desired, but I must let you know not a day goes by that I have not thought of you. In two days time I am to be married. Come to me before then. Come to me and show me you feel the same and we can be together forever. And if you don’t, I will have my answer.
Both were said before the memory loss and failed TLK attempts but…like mother, like daughter! As if there weren’t enough Snow Falls/Tallahassee feels & watching the guys lives change big time in The Shepherd/Good Form, now we have 7:15am & Heart of Darkness with GOING HOME which also has major Pilot stuff including Henry coming to get her to get her to believe. Seriously cannot wait for 3×12 when I expect more Pilot & Henry/Hook parallels! (And I just need my show back, desperately.) HappyEndings we may win you over yet with the ever-growing list of Snowing parallels!
