I was thinking a little bit about it and something just hit me right in the feels, we all know how much it’s a huge important scene, but aside from the surprise for Emma to find out that this man is all over heels in love with her, there’s also something big.
Yes, the kiss meant something.
Yes she made him move on.
But Emma is used to people knowing her, meeting her, and then leaving her, her foster families, Neal, etc.. People meet her get to know her and somehow she’s not enough, not worth it, not good enough to make them care for her, to make them stay.
This very pirate isn’t just telling her he loves her, he tells her I MET YOU and it CHANGED MY LIFE, it made me better, meeting you, knowing you, being with you made me want you more
And for Emma Swan it’s such a freaking big deal, she made a difference to someone’s life, a huge one, and who she is, without even trying, had this impact on him, he got to know her, weakness and strengths ,and he still wants MORE, he still fell in love with her more.
