I know that the chipped cup was needed for an additional scene before it was sent to auction for a charity…and CHIP hasn’t been in an episode since broken that I can recall..and so I’m kind of inclined to halfheartedly believe this picture to be genuine. The thing I can’t reconcile is why Gold would bring CHIP to the hospital bed where Belle is and drinking from it in front of her…weirdness.
[adrotate group="5"]celesstarrParticipantOMG! I am soo soo happy! Rumple and Belle look so adorable walking together at the border line…and the way he whispered to her…oh the sweetness!!!. Whatever epi this scene is on will just kill me!! Wow, new episodes in just one more week guys 😀 . Congratulations to us on making it through the winter hiatus!!!
celesstarrParticipantThis news is more than any Rumbelle fan can hope for!! So, ..it feels like Season 2 will have B&B featured all over!! OMG, can’t wait for season 2 to begin!!!

The hiatus has actually been pretty painless for me. The podcasts and forums have been a tremendous help over the past few weeks. Chatting with you guys has been like reliving the episodes all over again. 😀
I second this! We are like a little OUAT/rumbelle anonymous support group 😆
celesstarrParticipantThanks everyone for your kind words! Now, I guess there’s nothing left to do for me for the rest of the hiatus except read rumbelle fan fics 😆

Time is passing much too slowly. I gotta at least have some spoilers soon or I’ll do something desperate..like start writing Rumbelle fan fic.
Wow, so far you’ve had more willpower than me…I just posted my second rumbelle fan video 😆
celesstarrParticipantGreat points everyone :). I guess when he does use magic directly post-Bae its seems infrequent and for little trifling things…like wardrobe. He also only uses “please” on Regina sparingly as well.
I’m also thinking Rumple initially used his magic directly to free all the children from the Ogre’s war and wonder if by using it to free ALL the children, the price of that magic was actually to “lose” his own child. So when he became aware of the “price” of that magic he was very careful. And yes, the fact that he never wants to break a deal and always keeps his end of the bargain definitely was caused by what happened with Bae.
And for turning Gaston into a Rose…maybe the price of that magic is how he lost Belle in FTL and how he was made to believe Belle was dead for so long when she wasn’t.

…Let’s not forget that this true love potion that was tossed into the well is from SW/PC’s true love..so I’m thinking one of the things that will tie into this new world is the “product of the magic”/Emma finding her true love..or accepting true love. That may become one of the major themes..
A couple of thoughts. What if the true love potion also contains hair from Rump & Bae. So true love as the driving force that kept bringing SW/PC together will also act as a catalyst and bring Bae back to Rum. When Mr Gold dropped the potion in the well, he said the water connects all the land together (or something to that effect). So the potion in the water will trigger Bae & Rum to seek each other out. Maybe it will be more of a marker for Mr Gold to be able to locate and identify Bae.
I’ve been wondering about Bae, Emma and the true love potion in the well along similar lines. Emma was the product of the magic and her very DNA is tied to this potion. And then we have Rumple using this true love’s potion as a means to get Bae back in his life.
What IF he did blend in something of Bae within the ingredients and this is what chanced Emma to fall for Bae and get pregnant with Henry? In this scenario if Bae seeked Emma out, then Emma would be the means by which Rumple gets Bae back.

I think the reason it seems so rushed is that they only had 40 something minutes for that episode. I heard that Skin Deep was 18 minutes over the time limit so they had to cut out some scenes.
Yes I agree, the writers are challenged on every episode to pack a much as they can into 40 minutes of viewing time and that is the reason why I don’t believe they have “filler” episodes or even “filler” scenes. Every scene counts and every character counts for the stories they are telling.

I think that is quite simply for me. When i look at the abusiveness of that situation, it bothers me that people think it is romantic and that Belle should stay with him. And it seems pretty rude to say that you think this idea is funny.
Abusiveness is not funny, the only thing I felt was “funny” was the way I knew exactly how you would respond in a Belle/Rumple Relationship themed thread – that is all. I appreciate that everyone has their own perspective and take on things and personal experience can intensify anyone’s reaction, I respect that.
I think the main reason why Rumple’s reaction to what he believed was Belle’s betrayal didn’t trigger a red flag with me personally is because I took it simply as that — a reaction to a perceived betrayal. If Rumple’s behaviour was like this consistently towards Belle then I would have felt differently, but Rumple wasn’t consistently yelling and shaking her…so, for me this was a one-off. Abuse can be characterized by a repeating pattern of abusive behavior…I just don’t see a repeating pattern here.
Belle doesn’t seem to have a significant role at the moment, I think simply because her storyline in season 1 in SB has her locked up and this doesn’t give a character much possibility for development.
But, Belle is a STRONG heroine that is part of a very much loved and popular disney fairytale – so now that she is out and about I am sure the writers will have her grow to be a positive, strong female heroine. OUAT has been praised for its portrayal of strong, independent female heroines so I don’t foresee even a remote possibility that the writers would simply kill her off.
For me, Belle and Rumple are a joy to watch – as individual characters and as a couple. I really appreciate how the writers have interpreted this Beauty and The Beast story and have given it a fresh, new twist. I think we should just agree that we disagree on this.
