And i do think that both of the Rumpel episodes could be pulled and the show would still make sense. I think they were good character development to understanding Rumpel’s character, but in general they have had very little bearing on the show as a large. Like we don’t need to know why Rumpel became the dark one to understand that he is the dark one.
HJBAU, I think we need to move away from pitting one character’s storylines versus another character’s storylines. The writers have repeatedly stated that OUAT is about CHARACTERS..so even the one episode we had about Red Riding Hood is important and I think could not be pulled. So even though you may not have wanted to know about how Rumple became the dark one, it is an important story to the series.
And trying to speculate about who is a “main” character or “secondary” character or “filler” character is pure literary adventure and is a kind of laboratory analysis of a show that inspires a lot of emotions for viewers. Everyone is entitled to their own “literary” opinion but this can be taken wrong in a show that can be quite emotional.
Another thing that the writers have said is how they didn’t want any character to be completely good or evil. [i.e. The Blue Fairy lied to SW/PC and Rumple killed the dark one to save his son from the Ogre wars and Emma gave up her baby to the same Foster System that tortured her (not even bothering to interview the potential foster parents)]. So, the writers are not painting any character completely black or white.
In the end, we all have our heroes..who we want to see will get a happy ending..but will just need to sit back, see where the writers take us and enjoy the ride! 😆
[adrotate group="5"]celesstarrParticipantAre you kidding??? Mr. Gold LOVES children and has spent hundreds of years trying to undo the wrong choice he made with Bae.. I would love for Rumbelle to have lots and lots of babies!!! 😆 😆 😆
celesstarrParticipant2 things:
1)Rumplestiltskin’s wife cannot be Cora. Rumplestiltskin was married hundreds of years ago before Cora was even born.
2)Rumple’s wife cannot possibly have a storyline to appear in Storybrooke because she left Rumple before the curse happened and was not immortal. So, unless she time travels, I don’t think we’ll see her.celesstarrParticipant@Lissy wrote:
I was disappointed that part 2 of the podcast did not discuss the scene where Belle reunited with Gold in his shop because I would have loved to hear their opinions on it. I decided to make a forum to let out some of my emotions on this intense moment and the dislike of the forest scene.
Seriously? This scene wasn’t covered in the podcast?? Shameful, because that was a pivotal scene and one that alot of viewers have been waiting for since episode 12!
celesstarrParticipantBelle needs to be with Mr. Gold!…and Mr. Gold will need to come up with some magic ring for her to wear to protect her when he isn’t around…
I’m really looking forward to their scenes together in Storybrooke, and I know it will be just as sweet..maybe even sweeter than their scenes together in FTL. ***SIGH***

I saw this on my tumblr and thought 😯 that’s a quick return date. that’s only 3 more months. has writing even started for season 2?
I read somewhere online that Kitsis and Horowitz had already started plotting for season 2 storylines and episodes when ONCE got picked up for a full season in the Dec/Jan timeframe…which delights me to no end because i know the next batch of stories and plots can only be absolutely amazing!
celesstarrParticipantYep, definitely alot to delve into there… with power/love issues..
And yes, OMG! Rumple vs. Charming in a swordfight… Rumple looked better in his cloak 😆 …loved seeing Rumple knows how to handle a sword!!
celesstarrParticipantSJM, i’m totally in sync with you…i also can’t get over it, am still watching the video over and over. I think I’m in a state of rumbelle shock or something – my mind keeps going “I can’t believe they did that!, I can’t believe they did that!” LOL.
The writers were pretty smart about the way they showed us this reunion too! They gave us the reunion, I love you’s, tender moments…but no storybrooke kiss yet. And then we have Mr. Gold telling Belle that there’ll be time for “everything”. So, I’m still kind of on a cliffhanger, waiting for the storybrooke kiss and what “everything” means…lol
celesstarrParticipantI think we need to remember what Jefferson said his “curse” was. His curse was having “knowledge”…maybe this means having all knowledge but not having the ability to act on it…or rather not being brave enough to act on it. Regina said she knew Jefferson was not “capable” of harming her himself even though she double crossed him twice…
Conclusion: Maybe Jefferson knows everyone’s story in SB. He knew about Emma being the saviour and being the child of SW/PC. He just knows things. Hey – maybe he’s the one who wrote Henry’s storybook?
Or maybe the writers are just toying with us…and haven’t shown us the complete backstory…(like they did with the Kathryn drama).
celesstarrParticipantI would say it is also the most EPIC moment of the season!!! 😀
