CendrillonParticipant
July 10. đ
[adrotate group="5"]CendrillonParticipant1) Hook
2) Emma
3) Belle
4) Henry
5) Snow White
I’d say that’s pretty accurate. đ
CendrillonParticipantLesley Nicol, who played Johanna in OUAT, also plays Mrs. Patmore (the cook) in Downton Abbey.
Sebastian Stan also plays Bucky Barnes in the Captain America movies.
CendrillonParticipantI’ve been lurking around on this thread for a while and decided I’d finally chime in. I’m completely obsessed with Captain Swan right now. It’s ridiculous. I’ve never been this emotionally attached to a ship before. And it’s completely wonderful. lol
I just went over and lurked on the Swanfire thread for a little bit just because I was curious and I’ve gotta say, even if I wasn’t a shipping woman, I would still ship Captain Swan for no other reason than the fact that I’m incapable of shipping Swanfire. I really like Neal. I can’t wait till his story gets fleshed out. But I just think that he and Emma are better off having a close friendship where he can still have a parent-child relationship with Henry.
Now granted, I am a bit biased due to personal experiences. There was this guy that I had been best friends with since kindergarten. I had romantic notions about him off and on, but by our junior year, I realized that I could never be in a romantic relationship with him. I just didn’t feel that way about him. We were still really close though, and he was the only guy that I wasn’t related to that had the level of trust I had in him. Fast forward to November of our senior year, and out of the blue he decided to start doing online schooling, and after he left, I didn’t hear from him at all. No matter how much I tried to contact him. I asked him about it a couple years later when I had actually managed to get him to hang out for a little bit, and he told me that he had found my attempts at ongoing conversation annoying and that he thought if he ignored me I’d just forget about it. (Those are my words and I’m paraphrasing, but that’s what it boiled down to.)
It’s not a direct parallel to Emma’s situation with Neal, but it’s close enough where I personally just can’t see them in a romantic relationship again. Did they have a decent thing going in the past? Given their circumstances, I’d say yes. But they’ve both changed, and while they might still love each other, that doesn’t mean they have enough of the right kind of love to not only get together again, but STAY together.
Emma and Killian, on the other hand, just make sense. Especially after the end of the winter finale. You can see on his face when Emma opens the door how much he LOVES this woman. It’s not “Oh, you’re a cool person and I like you and it’s amazing to see you again”. It’s not “I’m really attracted to you and we make a great team and I think we’re definitely friends”. It’s “I meant everything I said in Neverland. You made me realize I could move on from Milah. I will fight for you. I respect you as a person, so if you don’t want me I will respect that, but I know what I’m feeling and I think I can make you feel the same toward me. We kissed, and you and I both know that it felt right. I love you, and when I told you that I would think of you everyday I meant it. And I have. And I’m finally seeing you in the flesh again, and you don’t recognize me, but I LOVE YOU.”. That’s what Killian’s face says to me (well, not to me, but I wouldn’t complain if it were to say that to me đ ) in those couple of seconds. And the fact that he goes for TRUE LOVE’S KISS… can it be any more obvious how he feels about her?
As for Emma’s feelings toward him, I don’t think she’s at the same level as him yet (disregarding the fact that to her he’s currently a creepy though attractive stranger who knocked on her door raving about her family being in trouble then kissed her). She pretty obviously has feelings for him, and I think we all know that kiss won’t be a “one time thing”, but she’s still hurting because of Neal and everything else she’s gone through in her life. I think she really wants to fall head over heels in love with Killian, and a part of her maybe has, but the dominant part of her mind is still focused on protecting her heart, and taking this relationship slowly so that she can judge for herself if this man can change his villainous past and become a man who will truly fight for her and earn her love. I think they’re relationship is just beautiful, and I hope we see it blossom into something 100% definite by the end of the season.
(Holy wow that post ended up long. I wish I could get that into the research paper I’m supposed to be writing right now. lol đ )
CendrillonParticipantI’ve also read read Enchanted – Alethea Kontis and I absolutely loved it! There’s a sequel out now called Hero.
I’ve read a few books based on the story of The Twelve Dancing Princesses, Entwined – Heather Dixon, Princess of the Midnight Ball – Jessica Day George (which has two sequels that I haven’t read yet, Princess of Glass and Princess of the Silver Woods), and Wildwood Dancing – Juliet Marillier (which has a sequel called Cybele’s Secret which is also very good).
The Black Swan – Mercedes Lackey is based on The Swan Princess, and is one of my favorite books.
Beauty and Rose Daughter, both by Robin McKinley are based on Beauty and the Beast.
And probably some of my favorite fairy tale retellings are part of a series called Once Upon A Time. There are nineteen books total (they’re pretty short, the longest one I’ve read so far is only 245 pages) written by five different authors (all of my favorites from the series are written by Cameron Dokey). I’ve read thirteen of the books so far. Here’s a link to a list of all the books.

CendrillonParticipantI had a dream a couple weeks ago. The only things I remember from it are Belle telling Rumpel that she was pregnant, and then a skip forward a few years to Rumpel standing in a kitchen watching Belle and their daughter Mary play. It was a very happy dream (but now it makes me sad because of the winter finale…). Darn you, conflicting emotions… :p
CendrillonParticipantOr the Black Fairy is Morgan le Fay (la fÊe is French, meaningfairy).
I LOVE this idea. My money’s mostly on the Wicked Witch of the West, but I would be overjoyed if it was Morgan le Fey. The way they’ve set things up points to the WWW, but we’ve only seen/heard Oz references in passing, and time hasn’t been spent on them in the show. With the Arthur mythology on the other hand, we’ve seen Sir Lancelot, one of the most well known characters from the stories, and he’s played a major role in Charming and Snow’s past. We’ve also seen a fake Excalibur. We know that there is an original, and that it’s in the realm of Camelot.
I really hope The Black Fairy ends up being Morgan le Fey. đ
CendrillonParticipant1) Overall grade for the season: A. I think this is the definitely the best season (so far). đ
2) Top two favorite episodes: Oh golly that’s tough… ummm… “Ariel” and “Going Home”. As depressing and stressful and angsty as “Going Home” is, it’s still an incredible episode.
3) Least two favorite episodes: “The Heart of the Truest Believer” and “Nasty Habits”.
4) Favorite moment: Hook and Emma’s conversation before they enter Dark Hollow. Captain Swan all the way. đ
5) Favorite new character: Tinker Bell.
6) Biggest OMG moment: Rumpel and Pan/Malcolm’s death scene. I think that’s the most violent reaction I’ve had to an event on the show.
7) Funniest/saddest/happiest moment: Funniest: Okay, I have a few. Hook: “Actually I’m quite fond of you when you’re not yelling at me.”; Regina: “And what, you’ll win her over with your rainbow kisses and unicorn stickers?!”; Also, Regina: “I need a child, Gold, and I need your help.” Gold: “Well I’m flattered, but uninterested.”
Saddest:Â Malcolm’s decision to abandon Rumpel. I hate him.
Happiest: I wouldn’t say that there are many moments that actually made me happy so far this season, but discovering that I was correct and Robin Hood was “the man with the lion tattoo” was great. I love Regina, and I think that she and Robin will be good together (assuming they do get together, which is in no way set in stone yet). I also thought that Emma and Henry’s new life was very happy.
I LOVED the first half of the season, and I cannot wait till March 9! Only 83 days to go! đ
CendrillonParticipantI’ve always loved fairy tales, so when commercials for season 1 started showing up my interest was piqued immediately. My parents and I watched the premiere, and though my mom was indifferent to it, my dad and I have been watching ever since. đ
